This is such an odd show. I'm not sure why shows like this (and Inside No. 9) are billed as comedy programs. As dark as it was, I liked the second episode but the first and third just kind of went nowhere for me.

I watch a lot of odd Brit shows on the streaming services, so I knew Hannah from the show Benidorm and Brett from Drifters and Uncle. Nick has been in a lot of things, including Drifters and The Job Lot.

I’m unclear on the timeline of the affair. Is it possible her pregnancy was the result of her affair and the baby wasn’t Jon’s? That would definitely add another layer of anguish to her decision-making about it.

But if first guy had made it to the final round, he might've known some of the answers that the librarian got wrong or passed on - or that she didn't know the pushback answer to - upping their score by a possible 4-5 points, which would've made it harder for James. You could've given me all but one letter to the answer and I'm not sure I would've gotten that one. I had no idea what that was.

I also wish they all didn’t have to be up against each other. I could not tell if Jason was enjoying his night or not. He seemed so subdued.

I’m playing catch up so my comments aren’t in the thread in order, but my favorite reactions were the joy on Colbert’s face when they called him as winner and the mock rage Robin Thede was displaying at her table when her show lost to SNL. And whenever they showed Conan. I could not tell if Jason Sudeikis was enjoying his night or not. He is either just very Zen or stunned.

I liked the two guys who busted out in the banking round and I kind of wanted the woman that was playing for her Dad to win because even though she had one of those big personalities that kind of annoy me, she seemed sincere. So, probably the first time I wasn’t 100% rooting for the chaser.

I like the British satellite location. Are they all Crown people?

All it takes is for someone else to score big on DDs and Matt not get any and that's what will end his run. His runaway games have mostly depended on him betting big on a DD initially and getting it right. I didn't think James H. was ever going to lose, either!

I keep watching this and thinking “It’s odd that they made this about such a recent event” but then I realize it was over 20 years ago, there’s a whole generation of people who weren’t even born when it happened, and I’m just old. LOL I’m surprised at the comments about how Monica seems unhinged. She was 22, lonely, and getting attention from a very powerful, charismatic man. I’d say her behavior speaks more to insecurity and self-esteem issues than being unhinged.

You must be a long lost sibling of mine. Just today I told my brother that I got nervous when middle guy was catching up because I don’t want Matt to be in danger of losing in FJ. My brother said “Yeah, that guy was like a bad Bond villain who was going to mess everything up.”

She seemed a little smitten with Roy this week. I wonder if they're setting up a possible bump in the Roy/Keeley relationship. How excellent were the music choices this week? George Harrison's "Beware of Darkness" during the Jamie/Roy hug, huge Man City fans Oasis having a song over a Wembley scene, and then finishing up with "Somewhere Only We Know". Just great.

Boy, is that group a bunch of terrible actors. There's no way any of them knew who Tituss Burgess was. Even the one woman explaining it could hardly get out the name "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt".

I think it started to hit her when she was getting the lowest BB Bucks amount from viewers each week. Seems like she thought viewers would be rooting for her and it hit her hard when she found out that wasn't true.

I kind of felt this way about the book. It didn't make me care enough about any character because it was cramming too many stories in at once and not being detailed enough about any of them. Maybe the series could've worked if each episode focused on one character's story at a time. Thanks!

Were any of this episode's events in the book? I honestly don't remember any of these storylines. (It could totally be me and my bad memory, I'll admit.)

I assumed maybe he did that after he found out about his wife’s affair? We saw him tell Dawn about it later, but they didn’t make clear how long he had known (I don’t think). Just a guess.
