    Jeopardy! Season 35 (2018-2019)

I'm not sure what kind of rules they could change to prevent this. Even if they put a maximum on the number of games one person could play, it would surely be a lot more than what James has played so far, I would think.

    Jeopardy! Season 35 (2018-2019)

At least the woman on the right kind of laughed about it. The one in the middle seemed bummed. James must have an Achilles’ Heel. He can’t just go on winning forever.

    Jeopardy! Season 35 (2018-2019)

Up until the last seconds of FJ, I was sticking with Christopher Robin. It fit the bird part of the clue and it was the right time frame. Then right at the end I yelled “ATTICUS FINCH!!!”

    Jeopardy! Season 35 (2018-2019)

You can't have meant that. Out of 61 questions per game (including FJ) you don't think you can get as many as 10? I'm sure you can.

    Jeopardy! Season 35 (2018-2019)

I mean, I like seeing champs who really command a game but I hope James runs into some good challengers at some point. I’m not sure why the middle guy bet anything on FJ. I guess since second place was a foregone conclusion he was going for the “I played against James and I racked up over $20,000 dollars” brag.

    Jeopardy! Season 35 (2018-2019)

We get the reruns on Saturday. They seem to like picking a long-running winner and they show all that person’s games. They just finished months of Austin reruns and now they started Ryan’s wins. Ugh. In my case it was easy because I’m kind of a dope. I’m terrible at history and that was the only thing I could think of. D-Day (a perfectly reasonable guess) never even entered my mind.

    Jeopardy! Season 35 (2018-2019)

That crossed my mind, but it makes the least sense in Jeopardy, since people don’t get to keep the money they rack up unless they win. The other two are only ever going to get second and third place amounts, no matter what they earn. I’d believe it more if he answered NO questions at the end, but if his intention is to make challengers feel better, coming in right at the end and steamrolling them on the last few questions seems more like a “There, I hope you enjoyed your ‘gimmes’ but let me run over you at the end” move. I would think contestants on Jeopardy wouldn’t want pity points, anyway. I felt that, too. But she kind of had that look even from the start. It did get worse as the game went on, though. I hardly ever feel this way, except I did for that one champ...I think his name was Ryan. The end scores of today’s game were disappointing because really no one had to bet anything in FJ. Even all in, third place couldn’t catch second place, second place couldn’t catch first place. I thought FJ was pretty easy. Did anyone have a guess that wasn’t the right answer? I can see not coming up with anything, but I couldn’t even have imagined what else it could be that made sense with the year.

    S07.E03: Pledge

I’m on board with all the posters here who didn’t understand why Amy would jump ship to Jonah, but didn’t she say she would have to be campaign manager, so it would be a move up for her? I mean, Jonah and Selina are both sinking ships at this point. I don’t mind the constant “Amy is fat” jokes because, like on Will and Grace when Jack says Will is fat, the point is it illustrates the insecurity of the insulter and can’t hurt the target because it’s clearly not true. Selina trying to get her meager audience to chant what she wanted them to was pretty funny. Richard is comedy gold every time.

    S44.E18: Emma Stone / BTS

At this point I’m starting to feel like SNL should cut down to half an hour and just be WU plus a couple of filmed pieces. What a waste of Emma Stone. This is the second time in recent memory that they’ve parodied a semi-obscure 80’s video (the other was when Donald Glover hosted). I think it’s funny if you remember the video but just seems weird if you don’t know the source material.

    S10.E05: We're Back & Divorced

Neither designer seems to understand what makes a good kid/family room. A table with a round glass top and formal dining chairs? I expect the kids will overswing that bed and either put marks on the wall or end up pulling the anchors from the wall. If the homeowner was a photographer, why not get access to some of HER photos to use in the room? I can’t believe they left that horribly stained carpet in the attic (even though they did cover it with the area rug). That said, both rooms were better than they were before, but didn’t seem like they fit what their function will be.

    Jeopardy! Season 35 (2018-2019)

I’m surprised how well the challengers have done against him. He seems to be not only smart but good on the buzzer. I’m sure they know the answers to most of the ones he gets but their buzzer timing just isn’t as precise. I’m not sure what will be his downfall. My guess is a DD “all in” bet that he blows too late in the game. I’m kind of surprised that challengers are just accepting and adopting his starting at the bottom clue now.

    Season 35 Final Jeopardy Contest

How many weeks are in this contest? I don’t recall how many new weeks there are in a season. I’m pretty sure I’m dead last in this and I’m curious when my weekly shame will end. LOL

    Jeopardy! Season 35 (2018-2019)

Oh, maybe that's what he said. Still, Madonna probably WAS working out in 1982!

    Jeopardy! Season 35 (2018-2019)

The woman in the middle...her up-speak and tone on every answer was driving me crazy. She reminded me of that counselor on Glee. I also guessed Madonna for FJ. Alex was pretty judgmental about that guess - “Oh, no...she wasn’t working it in 1982.” Madonna released her debut album in 1983. He made it sound like she guessed someone who hadn’t even been born then, like Ariana Grande. That last category in the second round was a tough one to start at the bottom.

    S10.E20: Can't Elope

I know this gets mentioned all the time, but as stupidly funny as Haley saying the babies weren’t hers was (because they were early and she’s always late), are we supposed to believe that Dylan’s response of “I never cheated on you!” would actually come from someone who is studying medicine?

I’ll add to the whole “James reminds me of...” discussion by throwing in a young Seth McFarlane.

    Jeopardy! Season 35 (2018-2019)

This. He doesn’t have to say anything positive or negative. That seemed out of line. And I mean, he was way behind the champ but he wasn’t tens of thousands behind the other contestant.

That was the woman who was in The Runaways, wasn’t it? The one I’m thinking of happened before that.

    Jeopardy! Season 35 (2018-2019)

I’d hope so too, but I know I’d be devastated. Does anyone remember that woman who was on within the past couple of years who had a visible breakdown during the second round when she kept falling behind? You could see the anxiety attack coming on.

    Jeopardy! Season 35 (2018-2019)

That was an amazing game! And remember, he got a little screwed by getting that first DD when he could only bet $1000! I love hearing audible gasps from the audience in reaction to his bets.

    Jeopardy! Season 35 (2018-2019)

I would read that book. I'm not sure why this doesn't bother me. Maybe because then he usually methodically works his way up. His strategy must be to amass a large amount early so that he can take advantage of a DD if he hits it relatively early in the game. Of course it would suck if the first $1000 clue he picked in the first round was the DD. That's sure not to happen if you start with top clues first.

I also considered that it might have something to do with Gone with the Wind based on the year.

    Fleabag

That is how you end a series. Nicely done. My thought was she took back the statue after she found out it was inspired by her mother, as a reminder to try to cultivate the parts of her that she got from her mother, like her father told her to do.
