  1. I thought it was just me. But for all my gripes about it, the finale was pretty well done. Happy endings for Emily, Angel, Maverick, and Potter, I guess. And the dog! She seemed pretty happy to not have to live in a trailer anymore.
  2. I agree with everyone above. All good points. 99% of all the issues throughout would’ve not existed if they had given Meko a fully realized, finished script instead of expecting Meko to rewrite it on the fly to make it coherent. They absolutely created the drama. I hope I get to see some project the MN Mom candidate puts together. She was wrong for this project but her reel was the most engaging.
  3. I’m not going to pretend I’m well-versed on this, but I got my pronunciation from this Horrible Histories song.
  4. I’m usually not very vocal over rulings, but I don’t think “My Fair Lady Day” should’ve been accepted. The category specifically said Movie Before and After. There was no movie titled just Lady Day, was there?
  5. Honestly, I didn’t even understand the FJ question today. I had no guess. I thought all three contestants were great. Ken cracked me up when the middle contestant answered the archeologist’s first name only and Ken said “You must’ve known him well.”
  6. FJ pretty much came down to if you know anything about Watership Down. Because I thought as hard as I could and couldn’t come up with anything else that would even fit the criteria and be a logical wrong guess. For a second I thought “Were there bunnies in Animal Farm? I don’t think so…” I wasn’t actively rooting against her but she really did not look like she wanted to be there.
  7. Poor Charity...it's like no one even cares about her journey - LOL.
  8. I thought Vinyl was highly flawed, but I’d have taken 10 seasons of that over whatever this show is supposed to be.
  9. For some reason I said Wall of Hadrian. Would that have been a no-go? I feel like they wouldn’t have accepted that. I liked the champ’s story about Jason Schwartzman’s tips for how to gain weight. I’m not famous, but I, from personal experience, know several other effective methods if anyone needs tips. LOL
  10. Lady Gaga is a great guess. I landed on Taylor Swift, with the reasoning that she’s a charitable sort who seems genuinely kind. Unless I know that Tym is willfully spelling his name differently, I can’t blame him for that. If his parents named him Tym/Tymothy/Tymothi, that’s on them.
  11. Tym kind of seemed like an AI robot designed as a contestant for the show that needed some tweaks. I can forgive a lot of seemingly nonsensical answers but can’t forgive someone answering “The Replacements” when the question is about a fictional Irish band. LOL
  12. It’s like they’d never even heard the ABBA song!
  13. Every outfit Jocelyn wears would be the losing look on Project Runway.
  14. There are so many ridiculous lines in this show, but I laughed when Judy accused Jesse’s wife of Munchausen Syndrome and Jesse said to her “Maybe you need to stop talking about Baron Munchausen…” Also, calling Kelvin’s sidekick “slow eyes”!
  15. I didn’t enjoy the mash-ups category. I thought they were all going to have a middle connection like the Snow White one. The rest were just two different answers pushed together.
  16. Another barnburner of a game today. *sarcasm* Champ seems like he could be Adam Sandler’s younger, more serious brother. I was kind of surprised the phrase “local lunatic” was allowed in that story. I did not get FJ. I went with Taylor Swift.
  17. I kept my word to myself and abandoned this show after giving it two episodes. What was the most unintentionally laughable thing I missed? Let’s just say The Weekend’s acting is a given. I did see the last few minutes, and it seemed like Lily-Rose Depp’s acting was a little improved.
  18. I don’t necessarily agree with everything you said but this might be my favorite review of the episode so far - LOL
  19. You mean S1E1? I think the technology aspect of that one was the power of info going viral via social media and the consequences. Not very groundbreaking now, but that episode was from 12 years ago.
  20. I love all the points made so far and I too thought the story was going many of the ways others (incorrectly) predicted. I was horrified that Cliff would go out on those repair outings untethered. Rory Culkin was like a space age Manson. Someone above asked why the family had to die at all and I guess the point is that even in the future there will be evil people who kill just because.
  21. The ending scenes reminded me of the end of Fight Club. I loved hearing the clips of 1979 era songs they used. As people said, not a Black Mirror episode like we’re used to, but I’m OK with that. Utterly enjoyable. By my count, only 2/5 this season were technology related in the way we’re used to.
  22. I’m not sure why this episode had to be set in the past. It’s not like paparazzi aren’t still around and as obnoxious and predatory as ever. I absolutely thought Bo gave her the gun so she could get the photo, but what I expected to see once we heard the gunshot was visible camera flash strobes in the window. But there was nothing but darkness after the gunshot. So did Mazey, figuring she was going to die anyway, decide to take out Bo?
  23. I also feel that this episode was less technology involved than we've come to expect from Black Mirror episodes, but in the end it was (old) technology that brought everything tumbling down. If not for the old VHS tapes, no one would've ever known (or been able to prove, at least) the truth.
  24. I do think she switches it up a bit but there are times she says "THAT'S right..." very quickly and it sounds like a recording. I always picture her with a set of buttons on her podium that have different responses and she just randomly pushes one. LOL
