  1. It's not just her mum's business, it's also her business. She was having to put up with her mum's actions as a child, she can talk about it if she wants. She can focus on whatever she wants. I don't see the big deal. Kelly has the wrong models for her look. She raised the issue of complexion, but also I think having more sporty-like models would help. There was one, in the shorts, who just stood at the end of the runway. Looking like a kid about to be picked up from school. Her body type does not help, and she did not work the outfit at all.
  2. I read somewhere that this film isn't even being released until late next year. I for sure thought it was sooner. It feels like there's been so much promo already.
  3. The two are not mutually exclusive. I absolutely believe white power types were behind the use of that hashtags. And 4Chan is a virulent racist website among other things, so they had the chance to put two past-times together. Trolling and being racist.
  4. I wouldn't have thought Maze Runner was doing too badly at 274m world wide. Does Hollywood weight domestic returns? Tbh, I was surprised to see Straight Outta Compton do little outside of America, given the hype of its success. I guess it doesn't travel well.
  5. The GRRM scene had me in stitches. He clearly had a lot of fun doing that. I too love that 10k got some focus, and that he and Murphy hashed out their issues. Agreed. It's a stylistic choice that works really well for the show, especially with all the Western hints.
  6. Oh, so her name is Trubel! It sounded like Trouble to me. lol
  7. I really wish Nick would get the crap beat out of him. Apart from being super arrogant, the way he wins every fight, is such a bore to me. He's never under any real physical threat. Making a lead so invulnerable is really poor writing, it's also annoying. He always wins everything and solves all the problems. Can he not lose at least once? Can there not be a character who truly gets the best of him?
  8. I don't think there's a current actor who could take over. None of them have the charisma required. I said elsewhere, but Hollywood has really gone downhill in terms of male actors. And I do think Indiana should be played by an American.
  9. I only heard about Jem when people complained about it. Seems the studio gave up. I'm kinda glad Black Mass is not doing that well. Johnny has become so insufferable.
  10. You know, when characters are suddenly split up like that, I have to wonder if something behind the scenes is going on. I haven't followed the actors or any coverage of HG, how have the actors seemed? Do they get on, have they been positive about the content of the show? What about the writers, do they not like the friendship?
  11. I don't think we need to put things behind a spoiler, this is the S3 discussion thread after all. The show has aired. Episode threads can be made. Anyway, I have finished it, and I'm also not happy. The main problem was the lack of scenes between Peter and Roman. Admittedly, they were the reason I was watching, and I was hoping the show would do a Hannibal and go there with them. But if not, there still should have been far more things happening between them. It was a stupid and weird decision to spilt them up for so long. Killing Destiny was also annoying, and I hated Annie. What a shit-stirrer of a character. Running between all the other characters and causing problems. I mean, I know Roman was in the wrong for killing Destiny, I am not even a fan of his, but when she went running to Peter about that, it really annoyed me. What did she think was going to happen!? She was literally sending him to his death. She knew he'd feel compelled to strike back, and Roman would likely kill him or things would end badly another way, which they did. She should have kept her mouth shut. Peter would have been a good influence on Roman and Nadia. Ugh! I'm glad she died. Her death was also stupid, but I was afraid she'd end up with Nadia. You'd think an old Upir would be smarter, but she was naive and dumb. Shelley's story was really boring. I forwarded through a lot of those scenes. But I'm okay with her ending, and out of everyone there, I'm glad she ended up with Nadia. I'm also sad that Pryce died. He seemed like a trooper who would out live them all. It was very cheap to kill everyone off, just because it's the final season. Really unsatisfying ending.
  12. The right three went through. I honestly don't get Edmond, he's a tacky designer imo. Very little creativity, I'm surprised he got this far. I am not surprised that he created that monstrosity of a dress. It was by far and away the worst. I don't know why the judges were handling him with kid gloves. Personally I hope he does not come back. I really hope Kelly wins. Apart from being really sweet, she has shown the most creativity. Took the most risks and been the most hard working. I am excited to see her collection. Even from the preview, it looks the best. Candice's designs have become so boring. I see she took a leaf out of Swapnil's book and played it safe. Swapnil should never have broadcast his plan, that was his mistake. Ashley has always hinted at good things, so hopefully with more time and confidence she can fulfil that potential.
  13. S3 premieres on 23rd October. So tomorrow. I'll be honest and say I'm here to see what happens between Roman and Peter.
  14. What about Black Mass? Is that considered a flop, or are those numbers good. Especially considering it was pushed as an award potential, or seemed to be.
  15. I remember a poster once saw Beyonce up in Scotland, and remarked that she was thin. Now, Beyonce is viewed as a celeb who's a bit fuller, so it puts things into perspective. Some of these celebs must be very very thin in real life. Al Pacino has done something to his nose. He looked really different for while, his nose became more hawkish, more angular. I remember a friend of his remarked that he has issues with his Italian heritage. I was disappointed to read this.
  16. Not surprising. There was an article that outlined how Warner Bros. has spent huge sums, and taken over a decade, to try and whitewash Akira. Apparently there have been countless script changes and different directors, all to try and get the characters switched to American, (which is always code for white Americans). Why they don't just cast an Asian-American, or better yet, set the damn thing in Japan, I don't know. People love manga because its so rooted in Japanese culture. I'm not interested in seeing white Americans running around New York, in place of Akira's actual setting and characters. And yes, I agree with the linked article. Hollywood is constantly borrowing from Japanese cinema/manga/culture. Which is no bad thing if they actually gave recognition to those creators, and didn't spend so much time belittling other industries, notably Bollywood, when they borrow from Hollywood. I really wish Warner Bros didn't have the Akira rights. A more internationally minded company would have been better.
  17. I got a bit teary-eyed. You could tell the actors were getting truly emotional in some of the scenes. Nice message to the fans at the end. Never knew this show would pull me in like this. Kudos to everyone involved, I shall miss the world of Continuum. I didn't know how things would tie up, but I'm pretty satisfied. I would have liked Garza to get some kind of noticeable ending, and for Kellog to end up in a less precarious place. But all in all, the story was resolved enough for me. I really liked Alec and Julian being friends. And the ending, with Alec and Kiera was fitting. Stephan needs to land something else. From start to finish, I've loved his performance. His reaction when he found out he'd killed his daughter was so damn good. I hope all the cast go on to bigger things.
  18. Even in the avatar, you can still see the dry lifeless horse hair of his wig. I have a feeling it will be a big distraction in the movie.
  19. At first I thought the current artefact scandal was pr for the movie, but perhaps it's become too negative for that? http://www.thepetitionsite.com/en-gb/429/020/568/ But then maybe such controversy is still good for publicity, idk. I love that the image included has the Scorch Trials poster at the side. It does not at all look like an ad.
  20. It's sad that it stills goes on. I remember the long standing insinuations about Gretchen Mol and Weinstein.
  21. I think RDJ's Iron Man can be really unlikable. But in Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, he comes across better.
  22. I thought the Kellog break-out was a bit much. Couldn't they just wait for the lawyers to release him? Carlos or whoever complained that he'd be out in 24 hours. It seems they've drawn more attention to themselves this way.
  23. This is so true. I went to look at his imdb page to see what he's doing. I really hope he lands a good tv show or something.
