  1. Damn! I never knew they were doing a remake. This has got to be the boldest remake ever. Mary Poppins is such a classic, who would want to go up against that amount of baggage.
  2. I went to google a pic of Renee and saw some of Uma. She also looks completely different. For the men, I definitely think Jared Leto has had work. Not sure what, I think a face lift as his eyes and brows can sometimes seem odd. I suspect there's also botox at play.
  3. I was so happy for Kelly, the right dress won. The right designer also went home. The producers probably heard the convo he had with Candice and decided to piece together this story. Not only did they say they'd had enough of his attitude, (when? we've never seen anything), Zac also said they've spoken to him about this. But when?
  4. Good god, is this going to be on some anti-Russia kick!? I've noticed more films from Hollywood of that bent, but I never thought it would be worked into Batman vs Superman of all things!
  5. Oops! I just bumped the old thread, should we talk about here?
  6. There's been a fair amount of promo for The Scorch Trials, has anyone seen it yet? Idk, it looks it little corny, but I'm curious about Dylan's performance.
  7. I thought so too. I never really liked her relationship with Alec, but it was sad when she left. When Kiera and Brad were talking about trust, it was a bit ominous. Maybe Brad betrays her. I like that Garza ended up at the dinner party. It was a bit odd, but hey, if it means she's more involved in the main storyline, I'll take it. And she ended up next to Alec when Emily left. Now, I'll probably be alone in wondering this, but could Garza be Jason's mother?
  8. I thought Swapnil's was one of the worst, it was overworked. Even he thought it would be in the bottom. I'm surprised so many like that look. But then I do like Merline's. It was the most different and creative imo. I can see why it won. She took a risk and from the produced pictures here, it worked. I like it. I also liked Lindsey's. Loved the colour, it was really cute and well made. Then obviously Ashley, very well done. Her model is hot.
  9. I don't think there's a formula either, but on average I'd say an A-lister does last longer. Maybe not at that level, but as a working actor getting decent jobs. Bullock could have stepped down and found life doing decent tv gigs if she'd wanted. Especially in today's climate. She could have moved into an area similar to Gillian Anderson. Halle is currently trying this. I just don't agree with Boobear's assertion that being an A-lister means having a short career. It's more about how that career is managed. But Anne never was an A-lister anyway.
  10. I don't see how A-listers have short movie careers. Surely it's the other way round. Tom Cruise etc. are still going. Angelina Jolie, probably the only female A-lister of her generation, is still getting good work. Anne is not an A-lister, so if that were even the case, she shouldn't be having a short movie career.
  11. I would pick the same. I think Merline could join them. Her first design was very conceptual and hinted at good things. Sad that she ended up with whatshisface who ground her down.
  12. I've no idea why Candice hitched herself to Amanda, who was thoroughly negative and useless throughout the challenge. Whether she got on with Ashley or not, is irrelevant. Ashley has been in the top, pick her! This is a competition. The way Amanda snapped at Laurie, just because she didn't get handed the scissors, says it all. It was she who had the foul attitude, plus no self-awareness. Glad she's gone home. Yes! Or Merline and the Boys could be a group.
  13. The story picked up well from where it finished in S3. I guess things are building to send Kira home after all. I thought the scene where she woke up in her timeline was touching. It actually fooled me. I thought the story would continue from there, but it was her implant. I didn't realise I missed a bunch of these characters until I saw them. Love Kellog and Garza. It's such a shame the show didn't become bigger, there's a sense of "what could have been" when watching.
  14. The kind of childishness that Blake displays is odd. I assume it must be something that's encouraged at home, around friends and family. Perhaps they laugh and tell him he's cute. It seems to be a coping mechanism too. It's just odd to me that any adult would pretend to not know how to tell the time. Anyway, I do think his dress was the more editorial and that's why he won.
  15. Oh yeah. And it's funny that he made the last scene about Bedelia. Says it all. It seemed so random and out of place. Which is fitting, considering how the character has been used this season.
  16. Well, it was a bit of both. He killed Hannibal and himself. While running off together.. over a cliff!
  17. I called it. Fandom pandering bullshit. I'm sorry, but I thought it was laughable when they were heaving by the cliff side. Yes Bryan, fandom does ship Will and Hannibal. Throwing away two seasons for this nonsense. Well I'm glad they're both dead, at least Bryan didn't have them riding off into the sunset. I feel so cheated. Especially where Will is considered. In the early episodes of S3, when they started talking about Will still being drawn to Hannibal, I knew something was up. It was a retcon as far as I'm concerned. The whole of S3 is a retcon. Anyway, I'm happy that Alana had a decent ending with her family. ETA: In fact, when he swapped out Abigail for Bedelia, the alarm bells rang. I expressed concern for how she'd fit into the narrative, because once you got over the surprise of seeing her on the plane, storywise, there's not much you can do with her. Very self-indulgent move. That was the first sign imo. He probably knew the show was over then. Didn't give a fuck anymore. Got to work with Gillan, got to ramp up Bedelia, got his masturbatory art scenes, and got his murder husband ending. He certainly dropped the mic.
  18. I've had suspicions about this for some time. The way this season has played out, it's like Bryan doesn't give a damn anymore. It's been a very self-indulgent season. From the masturbatory artistry, into the extended role for Bedelia and including the more overt displays of shipping. The whole lot. And then this theory that Bryan knew the show was getting cancelled, and so imo could have created a bombshell ending. Either Will kills Hannibal, or they run off together. I'm not fond of either scenario as I don't want Will to turn dark, but I'll take the former over the latter. Having said all that, it could be something else. From the promos, perhaps Will's real plan involves Bedelia. Just like he put his hand on Chilton's shoulder, he warns Bedelia about Hannibal and sets something into motion.
  19. I was so glad Mason got to be part of the action. I kinda suspected he'd be the one to help Scott. He's been super supportive and encouraging, and I guess Theo didn't factor in his random involvement. Scott did ask Liam if Theo let him into the library.
  20. Melissa's frantic reaction to Scott dying, got to me. She and Posey play mother and son really well. Cody is doing so much for me. When Theo started spouting off to the pack about his plan, I was loving it. When he hit Lydia I gasped. And he's the reason she's in Eichen house. I thought his story would be wrapped up so I'm happy it's continuing. I'm also glad Corey, Tracy and Hayden are back as part of his zombie pack. My belief that they'll end up in Scott's pack has also been resurrected. Looks like Stiles and Scott's break-up is going to be drawn out. I hope so. I want a lot of angst between those two. When Stiles said to Malia that killing Donovan matters to him, that was interesting. He wasn't after acceptance. I don't think Stiles' moral compass is that far away from Scott's, or the Sheriff's. I've just realised the Sheriff and Scott have a bit in common. In the early seasons the Sheriff was shown as a good hearted but awkward cop. Compared to the gunslinger Argent who rode in to save the day when the mountain lion came into the school parking lot. Might be why Stiles has a lot of affection for Scott and is so supportive. Can see bits of his dad there. I knew Parrish wouldn't be a phoenix, that was too obvious. A hellhound is more interesting anyway.
  21. I think Chris Pratt is big in his domestic market, whereas Leonardo is an international star and I'd rank him as being a much bigger draw. It all depends on how you would define a movie's success. But I'm not sure Chris could carry a movie to the level I would consider a top actor should.
  22. The way that conversation went down, I could buy that the scene was staged. It's like Stiles went out of his way to not say that Donovan was trying to kill him. And they did cut to Theo listening in, so who knows.
