  1. I feel like every week Sam ignores the challenge, makes either a jump suit or a simple dress, and the judges just say "well, he missed the mark completely but I like it, therefore TOP THREE" I'm glad Kini skipped the jacket. It would have been way too much yellow.
  2. I dont understand what those explosions were on the shoreline?
  3. What's strange is that Hardwick talked about Lydia being good for him because she calmed him down and taught him to take vacations and not throw himself into work, but then it seems like he's working even harder now than he was. Though Nerdist has taken on a life of it's own independent of him and the podcasts he does are limited to once a week now. And TD is once a week, so really it's only @Midnight that is time consuming. But still, for a guy who claims he takes more vacations, he sure seems to work a lot..
  4. Each passing episode makes me realize how annoying Clara is... I get that her role is the "cultural expert" but how is it possible she knows every single language so far for each country they touch down in, all cultural norms, tourist spots, directions. And for a team whose job is to travel the world, they don't seem to have any cultural knowledge themselves. How have they not heard of the Suicide Forest?
  5. Basically. No offense to the actor, but he was born to play Death. Between the intro of "Oh Death" and then the conversation between him and Dean, where he just seemed so tired and over it, like a man who really has lived for billions and billions of years.
  6. Brodie is the dude-bro yeller who is dating the girl who brought a curling iron. Kurt, honestly, I don't think is even part of the yelling. Even when he finished the roadblock, you could hear yelling but I'm pretty sure it was Brodie from the other side. I'm over the yelling but I find all the teams yell constantly, especially when they find secret clues. What surprised me was that Brodie seems the more athletic one, but Kurt was the one carrying both their bags up the cascade.
  7. This episode reminded me of a game I miss - the one where they had to bet on the number of words it would take to describe a show. I found it always hilarious, and kind of hard and if I remember, the audience wasnt told what the answer was so we could play along. I don't like too many of the new games, including the box/balloon, singing the wrong words ones that were this episode.
  8. I haven't been able to watch the show until this week and my plan is to watch it all this weekend, but may have to take a break after this episode. Lord that fight was exhausting.
  9. As the people above said, Emily Kinney was on twice in the 5A half, once for her solo episode and one for her death. Laurie was on two episodes before she died, but not the one she actually died on. And on the other hand, Alexandra Breckinrage was on in 5B and 6A, but then was absent for her death episode. David Morrissey was on two episodes before his death episode (probably because Scott Wilson died the same episode and he was on instead). Sarah Wayne Callies never made an appearance. So while more often than not, if you're a relatively major character and you die, you go on Talking Dead. But it's not every single time and the closeness of your last appearance doesn't really matter. I desperately want the show to stop having 3 people on the couch. It gets so complicated, no one gets to talk enough, and it's impossible to dive into any aspect of the show.
  10. I am PVRing this episode because I enjoy Ross Marquand dearly, but thanks JB for making this episode utterly unwatchable.
  11. Tonight's episode guests: Alanna Masterson (Tara), Ross Marquand (Aaron) and actor J.B. Smoove I don't remember why, but I have negative feelings about JB. Was he terrible last time he was on? After searching it, he was on with Norman and Emily after Still (or Alone, or whatever episode that was) so that may be reason enough since I hated their episode of Walking Dead.
  12. Why were those models not running at the end to catch that train? was that just editing or are they that stupid? I get being upset that no one is helping you, but you can't judge them for not helping. Especially if you show up late, no one is going to cut your time in half just to be nice. I also don't like the brothers(friends?) for giving everyone the bench answer. I'm supposed to believe in a romance when they have seen each other ONCE in this entire race? And it's HER? Yeesh. Though that commentary cracked me up at the end "there's Dana...and there's Claire. Oop, Claire is down. Claire is down" Dana is still such a bitch. First to her boyfriend, then to the poor chess players. Telling her boyfriend to sit on the board, and getting mad when he wouldnt? Then pushing it herself?
  13. It is ridiculous, but also the nature of adapting comic to show. He showed up wearing what Jesus wore in the comics. Same reason why most people had such an issue with what Rosita was wearing when she was first introduced - in the real world, it's ridiculous (for her, short shorts and for Jesus, a leather trench)(though at least they're supposed to be in the Washington area now so a little further north). But I get wanted to pay homage to the look of the comic character. The more Hardwick jokes about rioting when Daryl dies, the more I wish he would. The only thing I want to remain true on this show is that no one is safe, outside of Carl and Rick. The more the show goes on, it seems like more and more people are added to that list. Daryl was the first, and I hate that he's untouchable.
  14. I'm excited for Ross Marquand - he's pretty quick on his feet and also easy on the eyes
  15. I actually got where Loretta was going with that. She said "older" which makes me think that she thought Bart was the father. Then she was trying to get her to say "art" in order to have the rhyming connection. It was a ridiculous clue, but I also don't know why Mira didn't just go through the family - Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa. She knew it was ONE of them.
  16. That was painful. To my ears. That was the first time where two celebs at the end completely backfired. Jaime could not stop screaming, and not just that, screaming the completely wrong clues. Kristen Stewart on Broadway? When? "REALLY BEAUTIFUL" never helpful. I love Loretta normally but she is not meant for this game.
  17. That last round could have been very very bad but managed to work out, really because the civilian was good. The rest of the episode was rough
  18. I liked that they explained it solely because on other sites, I've had to wade through posts of Beth fans complaining that Carl can survive a gun shot but Beth can't. Because the one constant on this show has to be if a bullet touches the brain, the person/walker dies and while for me, it was clear that the bullet didn't go through his head, some fans would have taken that and ran with it. I didn't get that they were trying to say it was the same injury as the comics (same overall, injury to the eye but not the exact same), but I am happy they changed it for more reality. There are some things that can happen in the comics because it's suspended reality, but the show needs to exist in some realm of reality. While that sounded super dumb, I got what she meant to say - she started off by saying it's in her genre, and that she likes movies and likes shows [within that genre] but it got muddled due to what I assume was some nerves. I find 3 guests is too many for this show. Carrie didn't provide much but she was also only asked like 2 questions the entire night. Wolf didn't add much either. I fear Austin will fit that role next week between Danai and Nathan.
  19. God I really hope they dont follow that format, iRarelyWatchTV36. I hated it when the prison fell, hated it at the beginning of 5, and hated it this first half. I don't think I know anyone who actually enjoys it so I don't know why they keep trying. All that format does is make it clear who I don't care to watch for 40 min straight (spoiler alert, Daryl couldn't make Beth interesting in 4, he's not going to make anyone interesting for me)
  20. I mean, we've only lost one person this year so far so I think it's due time someone died.
  21. It was nice seeing the teams so evenly matched for once Though I will say, the men seemed to win solely because THEY COULD RUN. It took the women just as long to get to Jane in the final round than they did to guess what the clue was.
  22. That was torture Having the woman's team be completely inept when they are singing I WILL SURVIVE and saying the title and having them still not know? Followed by Cheryl singing PAPARAZZI? I mean, she was singing it stupidly, but still. I don't know how they managed to tie at the end. Was it solely because of the pillow game? Lord. And she wins. I mean, she was at least competent thankfully. The male's team were superstars in comparison, though they'd be crushed against any other team on any other episode. Surprising end choices though. Kim was a disaster at giving clues previously. Well I take back my words. They managed to pull it out Still torture though
  23. Jess is often my least favourite part of the episode, so I'm okay with her disappearing for awhile. Cece is by far in the wrong. Nick may be annoying but she moved into a home with three roommates without respecting their space and treating the whole place like it's hers. Not cool.
  24. Sadly she was one of the best ones tonight. She was amazing in the "How do you do" game, and she gave solid clues in clue boom. Everyone else other than Mario were the worst though so I don't know if I'm just giving credit for being alive (looking at you, Miranda)
  25. I really enjoyed the movie, but something really bugged me afterwards and I couldn't quite put my finger on for awhile. And I think maybe some people have dabbed upon it here - I bought the infatuation between Tony and her, and the love on his side. Personally, I wasn't a huge fan of Emory (he was very much the part, but I didn't really get much from him, potentially that's more the writing then anything). So I got her struggle with wanting to stay vs wanting to go because it seemed like she didn't want to marry him in the first place. I hate seeing people being pressured into getting married and it felt very much like that when it was entirely his insecurity that pushed her to marry him before she left. I mean, he was right in the sense that she waffled about coming back, but she should want to come back because she wants to, not out of obligation. So in the end, I guess I would have preferred her to go back to Brooklyn but not to him. She went to the US to better her life, and to have the decision made solely because of a man made me a bit meh. But it was beautiful shot, and Saorise was wonderful, and it was heartbreaking in the beginning.
