  1. I take everything the actors/producers say not very seriously because each finale, each season, has been the 'most brutal' 'saddest' 'traumatizing' thing ever. Sometimes they're right, sometimes it's the norm for the show. It's a given that shit is going to blow up. And that's been a rumour for about three seasons now, so often that I don't even get the jump to the heart that I used to when I first read it.
  2. The Making Of for last episode was uploaded here Not sure why AMC isn't posting them anymore on their channel, but if you search "Walking Dad 514" or whatever the episode is, they normally come up under different users.
  3. Hardwick announced on twitter that everyone's fav guest, Yvette Nicole Brown, will be joining Gale and Chandler on the show this Sunday.
  4. Yes, but I meant that given all three guests were planning on being in Dallas, they would all be available to be in LA the next day. Rather than having to pull Steven from NYC(which I think is where is?) and Josh from LA, etc, and hoping they didn't have other commitments
  5. I know there was a convention somewhere this weekend, so the fact that it's all cast members on tonight's show might very well just be convenience - they are on a 'work' weekend anyway, all in the same place. No need to juggle three different schedules to make it happen.
  6. I think it might be Chandler. They talked about having him on forever ago, plus it's march break so he'd have some time off school...if he's even in regular school. Special guest means death only like half the time now. I think they just do it bc they know people will assume death, despite being wrong, and more will tune in expecting it. Or it'll be some random from Alexandria who gets himself killed for taunting walkers.
  7. Hardwick said on twitter: Which still tells us nothing. Edited: Perhaps but I also think that's a terrible easter egg. Easter eggs are usually something to spot in the background, not something told to us outright. Also, it's not really an easter egg of the show because the latin phrase isn't even visible at any point. Even when they showed a close up, you couldn't read it. I agree about Talking Dead this year. Something has just been very very off. Before it felt like they were rushing through the half hour, and now I can't wait for the hour to end. Part of my dislike also stems from the fact that I know that Hardwick is very aware of the fandom. So a lot of things he says I know he's playing to particular parts, or saying things that others have said, or responding to certain comments (which is why I think he's now asking to do things to the audience rather than forcing it). Hardwick always was an extension of the show for me, and now he's just another hardcore fan which is sort of off-putting.
  8. the "don't you put it in your mouth" clip wasn't from a child's show, it was from a commercial/PSA. And was it strictly a Canadian thing? Because it was such a big deal here. It's been 20 years and I can still sing the entire song. And when I do (which has happened more than once in the last few months alone) my friends/brother can join in. Watching the hotdog bash his face into the button to buzz in was ultimately my fav part.
  9. I assume he was probably picked up like Beth was around that time. There is only a little over a week between the Carol banishment episode and season 5 (Glenn almost dying happened that day + walkers int he yard that night, then I think the prison fell two days later, plus the week going to Terminus, according to this timeline). Either that, or he was caught up in one of the houses and then wandered off only to get picked up. I feel for Lauren because I talk similarly to how she does. I need to fully think out what I'm saying before I say it which causes people frustration because I hesitate. I can only imagine it being worse when you're on a talk show, constantly worried about spoiling something. Hardwick was in full annoying-form last night. Not sure if he's just getting back into it after the long break, but something was a little too overactive. Maybe it's that he can't separate himself from his @Midnight persona (where he's allowed to be a bit more crass and jokey) and TD when he needs to take a breath and chill out.
  10. I just snorted really loud, so thank you.
  11. Something is really off with their promos because yes, I remember them saying that on the show last week (just like how during TWD episode they promoted Ron Pearlman being on Talking Dead), but Hardwick commented on his twitter-- Oops, my bad, he was talking about @Midnight. I retract my previous comment.
  12. Except I have also seen "Team Delusional" (as they call themselves) state that she was only there because Tyrese thought she was dead. So there's still a chance! 17 days is such a random amount of time that I have to assume it means something, but also knowing this show it may not amount to anything. 500 miles is not a long distance in real life world, but having to take backroads, go around traffic jams, avoid herds, gathering supplies, syphoning gas. Given they may not have gotten out of Atlanta until day 1 or 2, it equals out to around 35 miles a day. Ok GreyBunny and I share a mind.
  13. Lauren Cohan, Josh McDermitt, and our favourite, Kirkman. Lauren is always fun and Josh is adorable so hopefully they overpower Kirkman.
  14. The sweater at the back-half of 4? She wasn't pregnant yet. She would have been pregnant throughout the entirety of season 5 since she had the baby at the end of filming the season. She was barely showing at 8 months, at least everywhere but her stomach. Since they start filming in April/May she would have only been 3-ish months at the beginning of season 5. I assume we'll see some creative blocking this back half though. The only real opinion of mine that changes with the marathons is that I find myself with more sympathy for Lori. She still did stupid things and she drove me crazy in season 2, but I'm not as frustrated with her. Andrea still bugs though and I find myself disliking the Woodbury storyline more each time I see those episodes. I really enjoyed them the first go around (minus how stupid Andrea got) but maybe knowing that it drags out for awhile has tainted it. Also, yep, I will forever cry at the Carol-Daryl-Rick and Rick-Judith and Tyrese-Sasha reunion. Every time. And then I will laugh-cry over the look on poor Judith's face at the end.
  15. Last night's episode was the first one I've enjoyed in a really long time. Guests were pretty hilarious, even when their jokes weren't perfect. And Mike Phirman is kind of adorable.
  16. You telling me that not a single bee escaped when joe decided to drive off the dock? The door popped open slightly. I mean, I know it's this show and so much stupidity happens but that bugged me.
  17. I've always been a fan of Hardwick, defended him when others tear him down, enjoy his insanity. I listen to The Nerdist, watched the TV show, watch Talking Dead, and At Midnight. But lord, has something switched in his brain the last little while. I mean, At Midnight is not his show. At least, it never seemed that way until the return in this year. It is not a late night show like he keeps claiming. This isn't Conan or Letterman, Jon Stewart, or Rick Mercer. This isn't even The Soup, even then I would never consider that Joel McHale's show despite him being the only person on it. This was a faux game show for comedians, those of which are on the panel.
  18. Seriously? I wasn't going to get into this anymore, but really? You think Carol is worn down? The woman who has survived on her own, fought through the last few years is worn down compared to the abused, broken wife of Ed? Maggie, who hadn't left the farm when the world ended, who believed walkers were still human, who was hysterical when attacked by her first zombie, is not a bigger, stronger woman who is part of the attack-team, considered a leader, went off on her own after the prison fell? Maggie's assault was poorly handled by Glenn not by Maggie. Maggie was the strong one then. Yes, they've both had weak moments because they're human. Just like how Daryl devolved after the prison fell. Glenn has barely had a storyline in the last season and a half so I'm not touching his arc. Every single character on this show is a victim. Rick is a victim of Shane, of the Governor, of Lori dying. Daryl is a victim of his brother and his abusive childhood. Carl is a victim of his mother dying, of his lost childhood. We can talk about this in circles, but personally i'm not just blindly talking about the Beth supporters without ever understanding where they're coming from. because they are infiltrating every article written about the show, every tag on tumblr. It's hard to be ignorant about Beth fans lately. In my experience, none of that happened until her episode with Daryl. I'm sure she had fans before then, but the hysteria around her character didn't happen until then. That is not the writer's fault. We take what we want from the show. People blamed Glenn over Andrea consistently and still to this day. Lori's character is similar, if not slightly nicer, than her comic counterpart. By picking apart a character, it is inherently blaming the writers. The actors can't control how their character is written, but they do have some control over how they are portrayed. I've never heard anyone call Beth a drama queen, unless you're mixing up character and actor.
  19. I feel like the break did not do this show good. I found it to be terribly unfunny the last two weeks. Guests were flat, making unfunny jokes or really obvious jokes. I didn't mind the one Wednesday night (other than the rant because I too thought it went on too long and I find the ~free the nipple~ campaign on instagram to be stupid) but otherwise, just painful. Also, regarding his rant, the part that bugged me the most is that he spent the better part of the time saying how unsexual nipples are only to finish with "girls want to show their boobs, and we're stopping them?!" So, nipples aren't sexual, but you want the censorship ban to be lifted so you can oogle them? Ugh, Chris. I usually enjoy you.
  20. I took the trailer to not actually be footage from the show. I don't see a scenario where they would be wasting that many bullets (or even have that many) and yet remain so calm. It's very similar to the promo they kept showing through the first half (boobie Maggie, Rick/Daryl side by side, creeping around a building).
  21. The marathon over New Years made me still wonder about the relationship between Beth and Maggie. In season 2, Maggie notes that her 'step mother' is in the barn, along with her step brother. We see Beth crying over her own mother. If I recall correctly, Maggie has talked about her own mother being gone long before the apocalypse. Which makes it seem like Maggie and Beth were step-sisters, not blood related. However, Hershel always was indicated as both their father (never step-). It's possible then that they are half siblings, but that means Maggie's mother would have died, and Hershel re-married within 6 years (as I think there's a 6-7 year difference between Maggie and Beth) which I suppose isn't that hard to believe. In that case, Maggie would still consider Beth's mom to be her step mother right. However, her calling it a step-brother indicates that Beth also should be a step- sibling, unless Hershel married for a 3rd time at some point. Or Maggie was born first, step brother born, Hershel + step mother married, Beth being born. Am I overcomplicating this? Or were they never clear on it? Re: Beth being set up for a bigger storyline - this was her storyline. In a show that speeds through things, having a half season dedicated to mostly her character, that was her set up. Every character has a chance for a larger storyline, and I don't think she was robbed of that. If like, Rosita was killed, I would say she was robbed of growing as a character. But Beth has been around for 3 years now. She has grown. She had her time. I don't really feel like one character is more deserving than another, despite my desire to see some over others.
  22. I'm actually tearing up at the win. We see strong men dominate this show constantly, so for two women, two smart "nerdy" women, one with a jacked up leg, who got called candy girls, to win was just so fulfilling, especially with being against the evil dentists and fucking wrestlers. I don't think the container as a needle in haystack. They all came back at relatively the same time, she was just the only one to get it right on the first try. The only thing I didn't like is that it relied only on one person, I'd rather the last memory challenge to be both people involved. Dating couples are my least fav couples on this show so next season will be ....
  23. But see, Beth only lost a little bit of blood! And people have survived gun shots to the head! Daryl acting sad was all a GOTCA moment. Though it doesn't make sense for them to take her away from the one place that could help her survive that gun shot. And that half her brains are residing on Ricks neck. (I'd hang out there too, ifyouknowwhatimean). A terrible death does not warrant a return. I saw a poll on another website and one of the choices was "of course she will return! They'll rewrite it! " really. You think AMC will spend millions and millions rewriting and reshooting an entire half season for 50,000 people. Truthfully, I never disliked Beth all thst much. When people hated on her singing, I appreciated it because I could understand the desire and need for music. I understood her place in the group bc not everyone could be a Michonne. But unfortunately as we keep saying, only those ruthless enough survive now. What's dead should stay dead /dean
