  1. I would be fine with that, as long as the actor is still a fan. At a con last month (possibly in Atlanta?) they had some panels with old characters and I read that a few of them stopped watching the show and haven't been aware of what was happening. So I would find that to be a pretty useless guest. I was curious as to how old the three of them were because I never really considered Andy/Rick to be 'old man' though the beard this season is showing that a bit more. I was actually surprised that Josh was in his late 30s, and that Cudlitz is 50. In a fight, I think Abraham could overpower Rick, but Rick is pretty brutal. He managed to get Tyrese down, though it's shown recently that Tyrese is a bit of a baby sometimes...
  2. And also, Andrew Lincoln is only like 5 years older than he is (and nearly 10 years younger than Cudlitz).
  3. My hopes for the episode is that we won't spend the entire hour with Abraham + company, but I'm pretty sure that's highly unlikely. Given these episodes were written before the back half of season 4 was airing, I hope the writers/Scott Gimple quickly took a hint and realized the splitting of the group wasn't working. It's not character development, imo. It just makes me realize which characters I dislike/don't care for. And I kind of find it lazy; if they can't develop a character unless they're forced to when they're the only ones in the episode, that's sort of an issue. I kind of think this episode might hold some flashbacks as if I remember correctly, it showed Abraham wearing a shirt other than his tank top in the sneak peek during Talking Dead.
  4. But she's also incredibly delusional in thinking someone is going to come by and save them, and also running an inept and confusing hospital ward with no clear vision. I would gladly chose Gareth over Dawn. I don't agree with eating people, obviously, but take away that and Terminus was a well run place. Fences were up, people were fed (unfortunately), rapists were locked away. Dawn has a hardcore rapist as her right-hand man, how does that make her a better leader? I'm also tired of the shipping talk. It's one thing I love about Walking Dead is that it's not a romantic workplace drama, ala Greys. We have Glenn and Maggie who have been solid, and that's it. No unnecessary drama. Even the Rick-Lori-Shane thing was resolved without being too soap opera like. The whole mess with Beth-Daryl-Carol is annoying and overpowering when any of the actors is on the show, or doing any interview. I can't even read a post most times about Beth without it devolving into some shipper talk. I wish Hardwick would back off about it.
  5. I feel like the powers that be are aware that Beth either has hardcore fans, or people who don't care the slightest, so they threw in the ~twist to last week's episode so those who care desperately about Carol will have to tune in to make sure she's at least alive. The Daryl/Beth episode last season is still my least favourite episode so I'm not terribly interested in tonight's episode but I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. I do enjoy the difference types of horrific people the writers dream up, so I'm curious as to who the hospital people are.
  6. I don't find Amanda's clothing as free as they kept saying. The models kept holding their clothes, I found her long dresses so stiff and boxy, and it's not new. Maxi dresses are not a new thing. It's also funny during the flashbacks, Amanda's two winning looks were the ugliest ones and nearly the exact same dress - weird fringe hanging down with no design. There was a lot of black and white on that runway. I've loved Kini all season but he bored me. It all blended together. So Char dresses the every woman, and gets told she's very meh, but Amanda has a brand for the every woman and nearly wins? Whatever judges. I don't trust you anymore. Also is the top button done, naval showing a new trend? Because gross
  7. Re: Maggie's lack of interest in Beth I don't have much issue with it, possibly because i don't care much for Beth, but also because what are we expecting her to do? They don't have a vehicle, she doesn't know who took her and where. She can't just wander aimlessly down all the streets hoping to run into her. I'm sure there were conversations had, but it's been a day since they got out of Terminus. Sasha didn't care much about finding Tyrese and vice versa after the prison fell and no one said they were terrible people. Also, Beth and Maggie are half sisters, right? Not to dig too deep into their relationship because obviously they got closer than anything in the last 2 years, but to me, it didn't seem like they grew up together. Maggie is probably 8-10 years older than Beth, presumably went away to college (I think Lauren Cohen mentioned something that she had gone away), so they may not be all that close. It will be answered, I'm sure Maggie cares, but being upset isn't very practical in this world.
  8. He was also semi drunk, so I blame part of the giddiness on that. This was a very calm episode after last week, which I don't mind. They can't go at 160km/hr every week. They've been running for their lives for the last week, been nearly murdered twice in brutal ways in that time. They had conversations that needed to happen, which couldn't have really happened if they were running full tilt murdering everything.
  9. Judith is my new favourite character. I don't even care for kids but she is damn adorable. I would never ever get into waist-high water full of zombies. There could have been a kid zombie under there who isn't tall enough to see above water, chomping on ankles. No thank you. Do we think Carol was running away because she ultimately does feel guilt over Karen and the girls? Or she's not over Rick kicking her out? I can't really understand where she's coming from. I can't even with Bob. I do think he's infected. No other reason why he was acting that way at the end before getting grabbed.
  10. They have dinners after the last scene of the character during filming, not the night the episode airs (as the actor would be long gone from Atlanta at that point). I've grown attached to all the characters now so from here on out, unless it's one of the DC crew (which I haven't grown to love yet) I'll probably be devastated from here on out. Also Bob. He still weirds me out.
  11. I've read about half the graphic novels and I stopped because I found it spoiled the show for me. While it doesn't follow it exactly, there are enough similarities where I started to see things coming (like what happened to Hershel) so I stopped. I like being surprised by the show, rather than surprised in book form. I don't mind reading posts about things that have happened on the show in comparison to the comics (like Shane's portrayal, the prison takedown, the Governor, etc) but don't want to read about any potential story lines.
  12. He did grab it. He first slid under the bed then reached up to grab it and the water bottle. When he was under the bed, he was trying to silence the ticking to not draw attention to the fact that he was under the bed. So I do think it was Carol's watch(that Rick had) next to Rick's watch (which stoner dude had). Re: cars. At some point, cars have to die and gas runs out. I do wonder what point that would be. Can you hot wire any car? Because I doubt keys would be lying around near all vehicles. And there are what, 15 of them now? That's at least 3-4 vehicles they need to find and keep gassed. Also, a lot of noise being drawn to that and I imagine a lot of roads are either barricaded, car-crashed covered, or zombie hoarded over. That wouldnt stop me from trying to drive but I question how far they would get by driving.
  13. I was going to flip my shit if Lenox left before Denzel. He was doing nothing in his photo, looked like he was caught in the corner and Tyra still flips out over it. Kelly is a bitch, but she is right about most of the contestants. Mirjana deserved to get the boot too by talking back and over the photographer. The fact that he flipped on her the way he did at the shoot? Ten seasons ago, that would have meant something to Tyra.
  14. The thing that was weird to me about the Nigerian family story was that I work with people from Nigeria every day and they speak English. A few had a bit rough English (particularly their writing), and they have a thick accent, but English is one of their official languages. To not understand it at all? I find that hard to believe.
  15. There was something really disgusting about this entire episode. I get the whole connecting to the past thing, but just because there was one Asian person is someone's background doesn't make them Asian (and then, what... part of Asia, Tyra?) There's a reason people make fun of people saying they're 2% Native American. Because it means nothing. Yay, more comments about how comfortable Matt is with Cory because ~he's so gay and hiding it. Denzel. If you recognize it's your environment that has affected your outlook, you're aware enough to know you're opinions are offensive and stupid. You're in your 20s. You've been around long enough to be exposed enough to not be a dick. This photoshoot was ridiculous. Throwing on stereotypical culture-related items, and pretend to be in a relationship with a robot? No wonder the photos sucked, how do you wrap your head around that? I'm really mad Matt is gone. Tyra has such a hard on for Denzel, it's kind of gross. His photos suck week after week but she gives him such high scores that he'll never leave. If you're Canadian, there is a Canadian one (.ca rather than .com).
  16. I'm glad to read that others miss Kripke as well. There was a definite shift when he left the show. I found it interesting that they didn't really talk about any other episodes than from the first 3 seasons, but I agree - the best episodes were definitely in that bunch. And it was interesting that they kept talking about humor and the funny episodes while I sat struggling to remember a single fun episode the last few seasons. I wish they would bring some of that back. And seeing clips from the first few episodes in season 1 (Wendigo, Bloody Mary, etc) threw me way back in time. God I love love those episodes. Legitimately scary, simple, young Sam and Dean. So great.
  17. I've come to terms with Lori over the last few seasons, accepted her somewhat questionable morals, but the two scenes in season 2 in particular that still bug me to this day is a)making Carol feel guilty about trying to find clothes and b) thinking Carl dying would be a solid option rather than surviving the gun shot. I get that the world is in a pretty terrible place, but it had only been going on for what, 2 months by that point? Wouldn't she rather hope that he survives and some time soon they'll be an answer? At that point, she doesn't know they're all infected so there's some bit of hope still there.
  18. Except we did hear about it. As soon as the cast was released, people dug up articles about it. I remember it being the only thing I heard about this season prior to the show airing. Much like Big Brother and Survivor, the internet wants to know just how much of an asshole you are before the show edits you into something else.
  19. That's the unfortunate thing about casting semi-well known actors because I said the same thing. I knew it had something to do with him as soon as I saw him which killed a lot of the suspense. Though because it was Mapother, I automatically assumed he was the kidnapper because he just has that creep face...
  20. Was Denzel's stereotype of male models really all that accurate? Fashion designers, perhaps, but when I think 'male model stereotype" its more dumb pretty boy, than gay. He was also really not helping his case after saying 'nothing wrong with being gay! wearing heels! it's all good --- if Will wants to be a WOMAN about it and not talk, than that's his deal" i thought for sure Raelia was gone after Tyra randomly gave her a 4. She only goes that low to guarantee that person leaves. I'm not blind to the fact that reality show is often scripted/controlled, but now with them voting every week, it's very clear the people Tyra wants to keep around and I hate it. I wish there was some mystery left.
  21. I came upon the show randomly. I have never cared about zombies, but around the time of Halloween I always get into the scary movie mood. The first episode of the show premiered on Halloween and I've been hooked since day one. The scene that sealed the deal was Morgan's wife trying to open the door to the house. Now the show is not that kind of scary anymore, but I got hooked to the characters. The show is incredibly better on rewatch. I remember raging at season 2 being so slow but rewatching it, it's probably my favourite season. The back half of s2 and the fist half of s3 are my favourite episodes by far. My brother and I are close, but not talk on the phone/text a ton close, but the one day we always manage to text each other is Sunday.
  22. Tyra mistakes giggling as giving up and thinking she's cute, with someone who is genuinely embarrassed. Of all the people there, Lenox is really the last person who isn't taking this seriously. She was just embarrassed because she was being asked to do something ridiculous. Sexy head roles? Seriously? Giving her a 1 was such a low blow when people have done a lot worse. I don't understand Marijana who is 'dating' fake beard, but was dating Matt two weeks ago, but is actually dating someone back home? Why are we watching this love story unfold when it's so gross? Oh, how unsurprising. Will and Matt were paired up in the sex challenge. Show is more how uncomfortable Matt's comfortability with his sexuality makes the other men in the house. Men shouldn't 'booch' And she needs to stop putting the men in tighty whities. That's what makes them look like they're wearing diapers, not their actions.
  23. I have never like Suk and Jinder, but I was on their side with the whole mat-gate situation. I vastly love Canadian TAR more than US, but the one thing that does drive me crazy (this season and last) is the whining about lying to other teams to get ahead. There is no need to help other teams, to tell other teams where something is, to not lie. The fact that the twins were bashed for hiding from other teams in China to keep the location a secret was insane. People would think I was horrible if I was ever on this show. I could understand the tone of which the girls stated "they pointed us in the wrong direction" if it actually worked and they had gotten lost for an hour. But they turned the right way, were ahead of them, and lost in the foot race. It has nothing to do with Suk and Jinder. They were all laughs about it until they lost.
  24. Especially since he's 32. Robert is 31. Michelle is 33, isn't she? It's not like these people are 22. They're all in their late 20s.
