weightyghost replied to Whimsy's topic in The Amazing Race
Terrible end to a pretty meh season, so rightfully deserved. Brooke sure did manage to run at the end there, imagine that -

Scott did say how they were at the tower in season 9 so it's possible he was a fan of both, but maybe he didn't have a partner for TAR try-outs so he did Survivor -

they were all together at the track, they were commenting on each others performance (Joey was telling Logan to drop the gun and generally helping her out with encouragement) The time difference between when they all left is questionable -

It's not stuck, Brooke, you're just weak as a toddler -
The one comment from Tara that also bugged was "I was too busy saving lives in real life than playing games" Really. At age 12, you were roaming the streets saving lives? I'm not a gamer by any means, I played my fair share of Mario and such growing up, but I'm not above it. Logan never played it either, but she just said because of having a sister they were more dancing and flowers. Being in the army doesn't make you too good for video games.

While I am all for having a final with no all-male teams, that means that Brooke has more of a chance of winning which I'm not cool with. I liked Joey but yikes - the gamer is doing his job. He's not a bully, he's not picking on her, he's not a loser for playing games. Get over yourself. Red and Matt at least kept their cool. It makes me mad that it was possible to fall THAT far behind. The metro was supposed to be quick. How easy was it to do the kimchi and cups that they never caught up until the gaming. At this point, go LoLo. The other teams can suck it.

S03.E11: Kimmy Googles the Internet!
weightyghost replied to ElectricBoogaloo's topic in Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt [V]
I loved this episode because I've had conversations with my co-worker Linda about her name and how she was named at the end of the Linda craze so growing up, she all the other Lindas she knew were at least 10+ years older than her. -
I mean, it was literally broken. After struggling with 30+ baskets and biking for 2km or however long it is, then having to run the 2km back while the guy behind you happily flew by on his non-broken bike, I would be pissed too. Except she wasn't even complaining, she just said it sucked and kept running. She panicked on the way there but she handled herself on the way back well. Like all other teams and how it's split, he's got 4 while Matt has 5. I remember Matt doing the pallet climb, the market task, the changing of the guard, the biking and the bungee last episode which means Redmond last did the mask painting in Venice, two episodes ago. Yes, Matt has been doing the more physical tasks but just as how that always happens when it's a male/female split team (and really why they implemented that rule to start with as the men always took most of them), it makes sense for Red to take the less physical tasks up front in case something happens (like the foot rowing, if that were a roadblock) near the end that he literally wouldn't be able to do.

Sad. That was sad. Floyd may have been one of my fav contestants in a long time and I don't normally love super happy people but he seemed like such a good person. If only Brooke had to do that challenge, she'd still be crying somewhere on the road side. If I cared enough I'd go back and watch, but it seemed like Logan saw the ladder first and went up, Brooke went after her while Scott was still around the corner and he got blamed for not holding the ladder because she was totally going to beat Logan up there? Okay. Team Boston, don't make me side with Brooke at the mat - RACCCCCCCCE. They didn't need to tell you where to go.

The best thing about this episode was that Grey wasn't pregnant and they handled it like mature adults (so far).

Say Yes To The Dress - General Discussion
weightyghost replied to Rhondinella's topic in Say Yes To The Dress
Bride with no appointment - the way to approach (even during this very fake set up but nonetheless) the receptionist is not "listen, I don't have an appointment but I need a dress." Why is Shay wearing capri pants and a tshirt? Yes, his bride is an athlete but that doesn't mean YOU are. He was more dressed up during his talking head than the actual appointment. Lord. You know what will hide those sweat stains of yours? A suit jacket. How does Pnina not know you need a license to marry people?? Also, who cares if Randy is doing weddings. I don't know why that was considered so funny to everyone. So I see that giant bling is out and massive boob and hip cut outs are in?
