  1. The one thing that has always bugged me about this show is that the protein outweighs everything. Sheldon had flavour, good sides, good heat, met the challenge but messed up the fish. Brooke cooked her fish right, but had no flavour, bland sides, nothing of the culture. And yet he goes home? Sure. I dont see how that works, if I go out to dinner and the chef screwed up 80% of my plate but my meat happened to taste good, why would I reward that?
  2. I agree that something is off this season and I'm not entirely sure what it is either. For me, David and Alexis are my favourite characters, they never fail to crack me up, and I feel starting with the city council stuff last season, and now the motel, the focus has shifted to the parents. I do enjoy them, but they don't make me laugh like the kids do. I miss their adventures. I hope the general store means some good David hi-jinks in the next few episodes. The only part of this episode that stood out was the conversation between David and Moira when she kept repeating his questions back to him, and also the last scene with the cinnamon buns.
  3. Agreed. I barely watch Talking Dead anymore and it's been both because I find the show itself not interesting enough to talk about anymore, and Talking Dead is a joke. Guests used to be able to critique and speculate and bring up Wtf moments (like when Dave(?) brought up how there's no zombies anymore, the change in fast s1 zombies vs the rest of the season) and now they address these things as YOU JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND THE POINT (aka the cliffhanger of last season). The show doesn't need anyone kissing it's ass and I get that Hardwick is employed by AMC to essentially promote the show, but I'm not tuning in for an hour long promo for it anymore.
  4. What in the revisionist history hell? are the judges really going to pretend that they didn't have issues with Coryanne for the first 3-4 weeks of the show and how her having a super model mother should have prepared her better? How she had a single good photo and she's been coasting at the bottom this whole time, while Paige has won challenges and consistently been at the top bunch? Are we also going to pretend that there are other models who never change thei facial expression in photos (looking at you Courtney) I also do not get the love for Tatiana. That Tyra pic should have sent her home. That was some awful caught in the headlights, bad pose garbage right there.
  5. I agree that this wasn't their strongest episode. The kids are my favourites so I tend to glaze over any of the town hall stuff. But having all four have separate storylines made them all feel a bit unfinished. Though this cracked me up as an extra -
  6. Charles was debating sending a text, Gina said go for it its what you've been trained for, hugs him and walks away. She stops mid-street to read it, turns back and says good one, and then blam. To be Continued.
  7. I knew Erin and Dexter would cry EDITING.
  8. When the judges share the same opinion as the 12 year old, you know you're in trouble. Erin's intro to her collection was an embarrassment "so like, welcome to like my collectionnnnnnn, and like, there's only one wayyy, it's project runwayyyy". Her faux 'aw shucks' grated on me all season. I feel like she cuts out random shapes of fabric, throws some sequins on it and then realizes it has to go on a human being.
  9. heh, I believe he stuttered and then said 'there's only one g-' before Jeff cut him off, so I assume he was just going to say only one girl aka his daughter
  10. I think he worked a bit in the beginning - him and Dave were on the outs at the Gen X tribe (which always surprised me because he seems stereotypical as one of those 30 year old men who automatically fits in) and he managed to turn it around on Paul and Lucy (whether that was more Dave's work, who knows). He also managed to flip Adam (though it seemed an obvious choice) against Figgy and Taylor. So he's done some work, just not much since the merge where the battle of the cool kids went into battle of the nerds and is now where it is. His name has often come up, but somehow it always flips to Hannah or someone else entirely. The fact that he is the slightly older version of Jay, it's surprising that no one has really talked about him being a challenge threat (though looking back he didn't do exceptionally well during the challenges - coming up short during the three tribes challenges and being competent enough to not lose it terribly).
  11. If Adam was on the verge of going home, definitely. But it was Jay that was. Jay gave Adam his brother, so I get they have that bond. I feel like keeping his mom's cancer to himself as eaten him up over the last 35 days so I'm surprised it took this long.
  12. Losing WIll as he swaggered around camp, believing he was in control after making a single move was beautiful. Losing Sunday who was settling in for the useless 3rd finalist and having a relatively solid final six for the end, the cherry on top.
  13. I'm sorry, but teenager Will who had been throwing a fit over being respected and involved in decision making, who was just 'talked down to' by Ken (aka questioned to figure out if he can be trusted and then essentially screwed him over)... I don't trust that opinion. I trust that in that moment, Ken was a dick to him, yes. But Will showed himself to be incredibly self absorbed as well (which in Survivor isn't necessarily a bad thing since they all have to be). I've been wary of editing for years on this show so this episode made me question everything - I assume Will has felt like this for awhile, but only shown now and it came off as whining. Ken wandering off from Jay/Zeke after blabbing about Will had remnants of being wanting to just blow things up and then walk away to let everyone eat themselves and let it fester, but with editing it just seemed stupid (which who knows, it may have just been, but he hasn't shown to walk away from an argument). Jess' face at tribal seemed to be a reaction to something said, not necessarily to her being introduced so it made her seem really bitchy. Who knows, I could just be over thinking everything and maybe everyone is an asshole. Also re: Ken and the daughter, from what I read on another side, seems like one night stand - left for Hawaii - found out years later that one nighter resulted in a daughter - came back to the mainland. So I can respect him for taking responsibility.
  14. The loved ones visit comes up every year. the show has been on 33 seasons and EVERY YEAR the group is hysterical. And yet it still surprises people. Survivor is not living in a different city than your family, traveling around Europe for a month, living at college for a term. In those instances, you have lives. You have other friends. You are fed, and rested, and living a normal life. These people are physically, emotionally, mentally exhausted. They're starving, around strangers, sleeping on bamboo, and having to be 'on' because it's a game 24/7. They have zero trust in the people they're around, sunburnt and insect bitten, and have to be careful of everything they say because everyone is on edge and can turn on you in a second. Yeah there's a million dollars at the end. That doesn't necessarily change their mental state. I'll give them a pass on shedding some tears.
  15. That they'd turn on Will? I thought that's where this episode may be heading
  16. I'm not sure if anyone is really rooting for him, just rooting for him to stick around to look at. I don't think anyone is expecting him to win (except with those who are playing lazier than he is) He didn't seem offended to me, just confused (since he probably was dead set on thinking it was David). I can think of numerous people who overreacted to being voted out. I mean, not many get told beforehand but plenty of men throw hissyfits. Ken just had a mental break with his information. I can understand how all logic went out the window at that point, I doubt if Will said it was Hannah he would have done anything. Maybe he was trying to get the other side to vote Will? Who knows. It was strange. While I don't like anyone on the other side, I'd actually be fine with Jay winning. He's the dumb surfer like Taylor was, but I actually think he's relatively smart and with it. Will, I get you want respect. You are technically an adult. However, you are still a child. You stamp around wanting to be respected and whine about no one trusting you to make decisions (that's not because of your immaturity, it's because of who you're playing with). You're not helping yourself. Eh, they were all begging, Probst mentioned it. Some more outwardly (Ken and Adam were both vocal/physical) but they all mostly were. Pointing to yourself isn't exactly cause of shame, there have been people in the past crying and verbally begging to get chosen.
  17. They mentioned that someone else was supposed to be on the show but she had to cancel. I assume he called on Jonah since they're friends and he's nearby and Chris knows he watches the show (since he's also been on TD before)
  18. The fact that Adam believes that Sunday was telling the truth when she told HANNAH that it was Ken, was dumb on his part. The bullying by Zeke and Brett were gross, when David and Ken were speaking logically about the game. I really enjoyed Jessica and I'm pissed another woman goes home by random draw. And again, shut up Brett. YOU could have switched your vote too and this wouldn't have happened.
  19. I swear this show took place in San Francisco. They kept mentioning Seattle this episode. Was I mistaken? I swear when they had sex in the car, it was in a park with a view of Golden Gate Bridge.
  20. Hey, apparently a basic cut tweed dress with a tacked on hideous reflective 70s ruffle is editorial now. Who knew. I was okay with Cornelius' win. The dress was very pretty and impeccable. The coloured leather was terrifying at first so the end result was a surprise. Dex had a point with people having an ~aesthetic and repeating looks. Too bad it was his BFF.
  21. I think they think we are enjoying Negan more than anyone is
  22. Lennie and Melissa haven't done the show too often, have they? I feel like Lennie only once and Melissa hasnt been since The Grove I don't think, so King E makes sense for last week. Norman must be filming since he tends to be on for his episodes. The guy who plays Dwight was on at the end of last season so maybe the girl was all they could get. When you only have one main cast member in each TWD episode, it's slim pickings for TD.
  23. That was an incredibly boring episode I was excited for Jeffery Dean Morgan to join, but I find Negan shaping up to be the worst villain the show has ever had. It relied on Dwight being captivating enough to hold the episode, since Daryl sat in the dark and hid behind his bangs the whole time, and lord.
