  1. There are soooo many characters whose heads I want to see on pikes before this show is over.
  2. That presumes that Serena wants to bring down Gilead. She might not feel it safe to go back there as an unmarried mother, but if she had a suitable husband in tow, i.e. a high enough ranking commander, she would return in a heartbeat.
  3. I'm pretty sure it was less about jealousy and more about Elizabeth being angry (justifiably IMO) that Mark's daughter Rachel brought drugs into their house. Drugs that Elizabeth's baby got into while Rachel was supposed to be minding her, and nearly died from.
  4. I do like Nicola Walker but so many of the characters she plays are so glum that it's really nice to see her play happy for once. Who would have thought that a homicide detective could be her cheeriest character!
  5. It seems to me that Rhaenyra's biggest mistake was not taking a blonde lover. If her eldest 3 had had blonde hair, like both 'parents', it would have been a lot harder to refute their legitimacy.
  6. Serena is a widow though, which is different from being a single mother. Although I'm not sure that Gilead would make that distinction.
  7. @lidarose9 I think that the frozen peas just gave BiBi the idea to freeze the paint gun pellets. By the time the wound would have been examined, the pellet would have defrosted and looked like normal.
  8. I think I'm going to have to rewatch the first episode before we get to the finale, just to see if there's any clues in it. I also may need to pay more attention to the opening credits and see what they haven't used from them yet (we've got the fake animal eye, a watermelon, archery trophies, and there's a lot of little things which may or may not be relevant) I actually laughed out loud when they used the 'What we do in the Shadows' theme for the closing credits!
  9. The one and only event I went to with a free bar was a birthday party for one of the partners in my firm. Every wedding I've been to, there might be free wine and/or champagne during the meal, but outside of that, everybody was expected to be responsible for their own drinks.
  10. I would hope that the sister had had some influence on her dropping the lawsuit since presumably she knew about the DNR in the first place and failed to mention it when the paramedics started working. And yes, I get that it can be difficult for family members to make that call but she bears some of the responsibility. I knew that Sadie was a wrong un when she told Owen "you came for me". That and the fact that she 'passed out' right next to a well lit exit sign (presumably the exit Owen used to get them both out).
  11. I thought Minna started out by saying George and then said JP. She could have meant either of them, given her confusion. Count me in on the Blanaid as the killer (whether deliberate or accidental) train. Mainly because I can see the sisters banding together to protect her. Anybody else think that JP will end up dying in the freezer?
  12. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9022462/?ref_=nm_flmg_slf_7 This should have most of them listed
  13. I think he must survive last episode's splashdown. When Claffin was asking Grace about where she was when JP died, she lied and told him she was with her sisters. But she'd have had no reason to lie if this was when he died, because she was with the basketball team on the way to Galway and there's nothing suspicious about that.
  14. It's set in or around Dublin. The 'Forty Foot' where the sisters go swimming is on the South end of Dublin Bay. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forty_Foot So they're all within driving distance of it.
  15. Property taxes wouldn't be all that expensive. The Local Property Tax on a place like Eva's probably wouldn't be more than €1,000 a year which she could easily pay monthly through her employment.
  16. Sky - who broadcast the Last Week tonight in the UK - clearly have plenty of deference for the Queen, because they cut out pretty near all mention of her from the show. Am I the only one who paused the show to check google images because I didn't quite believe John when he promised that the final picture was Dick Wolf?
  17. I suppose that 'Sex, Lies, and porno tapestries' would have quite the same ring to it.
  18. I'm feeling a bit more sympathy for Thomas now. I'm glad they finally explained why the firm was on the hook for so much. (a one and two man operation like that would never have been underwriting the policies themselves, just earning a commission by selling them for the main insurance companies). I wonder has Thomas been paying out on all JPs other claims to keep the firm out of trouble. He'd have been better off making a clean breast of it as soon as he realised what his father had been up to. Now he's just as complicit as his old man. Count me in as another one who hopes JPs death on screen will come sooner rather than later. Even if they don't show us who did it just yet, I need the satisfaction of watching him die!
  19. I don't even like it when networks show multiple episodes in the same week, either airing two episodes back to back or say Monday to Friday. I like to have time to think about episodes and anticipate new ones. (that said, there are also occasions when I'm happy not to have to wait to resolve a cliffhanger!)
  20. I'm in Ireland, not the UK, but my cable subscription has most of the main UK channels. It looks like BBC1s programming is all about the late Queen for the next few days. Some of its flagship shows (Eastenders, Casualty etc) have been pushed to BBC2. There were a few commercial channels that were airing their regularly scheduled programming but weren't showing any commercials in the breaks, just had the channel logo up.
  21. A few comedy shows have already been pulled from broadcast. But there's a difference between a show that's pure comedy and something like Bake Off that just has humorous bits in it. And besides, Bake Off is such a quintessentially British show that it would be practically unpatriotic to not air it. (and yes, I'm talking very much tongue in cheek!). Seriously though, it is still listed on the official Channel 4 schedules online. I will be most disappointed if it doesn't go ahead on Tuesday.
  22. I think the only 'serious' programming applies just to BBC and ITV, at least I hope so.
