  1. Apparently the chalk outline of a body isn't really used now, to avoid contaminating the crime scene. And (according to Wikipedia) even back in the day, it was more used as a method to allow the press to take a picture to represent the scene but without having an actual (possibly gruesome) body around.
  2. @Orbert it's probably a matter of what Will can prove as well. Angie's case is comparatively recent and Will is able to throw doubt on a lot of her story based on his analysis of the case file. Amanda's case on the other hand, the only proof he has is her confession. There's nothing tangible he can point to (like the lack of defensive wounds on Angie) to make a case against Amanda.
  3. To my mind, the difference is that Amanda's actions put a man in jail where he deserved to be (for assaulting her and probably other women as well), whereas Angie's actions let a killer go free and resulted in five more people being murdered. Amanda's actions prevented further crimes, Angie's actions enabled them.
  4. I miss the opening credits where they used to show clips from the show. I remember watching Magnum P.I. (original) and the first episode of each season I loved to see what new clips they included and if they'd kept my favourites from previous seasons.
  5. As long as he's not being an arse about it to other people, I guess it's up to him if he wants to limit his roles like that.
  6. I think that present-day rock emerging Fianna was following Saffron through the portals for a while until she caught up with her and realised she was following the wrong child.
  7. I'm pretty sure the Kem hate was led by the Carbys who couldn't bear the thought of Carter being with anybody other than Abby.
  8. Just checked, and it's still up at fanfiction.net https://www.fanfiction.net/s/142094/1/Snippets-from-the-ER The fishy oxygen tanks were in chapter 11. Enjoy!
  9. I think that was one of my 'Snippet' fics back in the day. (I also included 'little fishy oxygen tanks' for future emergencies)
  10. Was this in a a 4 x 400 relay? AFAIK, where they stand after the first changeover is dependent on what position their team is when they're coming up to the changeover. The runner getting the baton for the leading team should be closest to the inside, and presumably the officials are there to make sure the runners are in the right order. (caveat, I didn't actually see any of the races)
  11. Between the Beam and High Bar, there was more carnage than the House of the Dragon finale. Must be heartbreaking for Barbosu who'd thought she had the bronze.
  12. IIRC (it's been a long time since I played), you can get penalized for 'passivity' i.e. not going in for attacks. You don't have to be successful in the attack, you just have to be making the attempts. An Ippon is a 10 point score and basically ends the match. You can get an Ippon for a good throw, for keeping your opponent in a hold down (pretzel!) for 30 seconds, or if your opponent submits during an armlock or choke hold. Or if you get two x seven point scores (Wazari), they count as an Ippon and win the match.
  13. I think they changed the per country maximum after the 2000 games when Romania took the top three spots*. If they left it unrestricted, then there could have feasibly been four or five USA gymnasts in the AA in recent years, but pre-1996, might have resulted in four or five Soviet gymnasts in most years - which was probably why the original limit was in place. it’s always going to be a shame for #3, but they know the stakes going in. * yes, I know the gold medalist was later disqualified, but they still earned the top 3.
  14. Life would have been so much easier if Rhaenyra had put a bit more thought into her choice of lover and picked one that looked like either her or Laenor. That way it would have been less obvious who their father wasn't. Or failing that, if she'd at least managed to produce one legitimate child before playing away, it would have gone some way towards allaying suspicions.
  15. I somehow doubt that the searchers expect the police to anything, with or without a clue.
  16. Maybe it’s a case of the family announcing it before some gossip site/ tabloid splashes it all over the place.
  17. I think there's a difference between being a stand-up comedian who (probably) writes most of his own material (Joe) and a comic actor, who is more used to being given his lines (Kiell). Joe seems able to be more spontaneously funny than Kiell would be.
  18. A very good episode, which unfortunately could not be aired on Sky Comedy in the UK - which usually airs the eps on a Monday night. There's rules about what can or cannot be broadcast during an election campaign and I think it was (albeit justifiably) one sided. Luckily, the same rules don't apply to their catch up service, and it was freely available on Tuesday.
  19. And as I said, the Australian guilds weren’t on strike so therefore they were not breaking a strike by working on an Australian show.
  20. I'm pretty sure that the Australian actors and writers guilds weren't on strike last year when NCIS:Sydney was being filmed.
  21. The main character - The Doctor - is a non-human character - a Timelord. Whenever his body gets injured beyond repair it regenerates into a new body with a new face. There is no compelling reason that the new body also has to look like a human male, apart from the fact that the character has always looked like a human male. (and fanboys can get very whiny when they feel that they're not being catered to)
  22. I'm guessing that if this hadn't been the series finale, then that's round about where the season finale would have ended. I'm glad they showed us a bit of the future.
  23. So the person that the child's parent decided to name as guardian should give up custody to a person that said parent was estranged from? If Jessica had wanted her brother to raise her child, she would have named him or maybe made the effort to reconcile with him long before it became an issue. Realistically speaking she should have had a named guardian for Ella from day one. Every parent should have a contingency plan.
  24. I would definitely like Max and Serena to be there. They can bring Chris and Beau with them too! I would have felt a lot more sympathy for Folsom's little tantrum when he realised they'd just missed out on finding Max in the underground lab, if he hadn't just wasted god knows how much time on processing the truck with the dead body in it. I mean, if you're tracking somebody, you don't just stop because you've found some shiny new evidence to play with. If he'd left Ally there to do the processing and he'd continued on down the tunnel, he might have actually been in time.
  25. If they hadn't already got the 3 year renewal, I would be rather concerned about that news. I've seen a number of shows go into a season with the announcement that not all characters will be in every episode and it nearly always turned out to be the final season for that show.
