  1. IIRC, it wasn't the memories of Edith Keeler that Spock took away, it was that of Miramanee in 'The Paradise Syndrome'. Kirk was lost on a planet, had amnesia and fell in love with her over the course of a few months only for her to die just as he was rescued.
  2. It's one thing to eat a dead body to survive. But to actually hunt down and kill somebody to eat, that's crossing a whole different line. And since they can't say that 'oh yes, we ate the dead but they all died of natural causes first', perhaps they just figure it will be less hassle to not mention the cannibalism at all.
  3. I will most definitely take a seat at your CSI NY table. I loved Flack! Managed to complete my CSI NY DVD collection last year and am working my way through a rewatch.
  4. To be fair, I did rewatch the series only last year.
  5. (nitpick) it was Apollo who was killed by Iblis and then brought back on the ship of lights.
  6. IIRC, there was some speculation that either or both of the two were playing hardball with their contract negotiations at the time and that the 'overslept' excuse was just an excuse. Either way, they both got reinstated. I'm not sure if they even missed any episodes.
  7. After being hit by an axe and the fall down the stairs, it's possible that Terry simply wasn't in any condition to have Pat committed at that point. Unless they were Rosemary possessing the woman who was the 50s housewife. Remember we saw Pat's face in the movie as well.
  8. At that point in time, Phyllis would have been entitled to a contributory state pension. AFAIK, the amount was based on how many years somebody had worked and not necessarily how much they had earned during those years. If she hadn't been working long enough, she would still get the non-contributory pension (probably the same amount as the minimum contributory pension). The biggest difference between the two would be that your non-contributory pension would be reduced if you had personal savings, whereas the contributory pension wouldn't.
  9. I was feeling a bit ambivalent about continuing to watch the show and then we get the lady hippo God saying "Hiya" and the two lads screaming and yeah, I'm definitely in!
  10. 1,500 grams, approx 3.3lbs Why yes, I did pop it on the weighing scales!
  11. IIRC, Wesley said he'd been given a six month suspension, so I would assume that he'll get it back automatically.
  12. It was young Rip - as seen in flashbacks - but IIRC, she never told him about it.
  13. Just finished reading 'The Shepherd's Crown' by Terry Pratchett. I'd put off reading it for ages, in part because it's the last one and I didn't want to have finished them all. (also I'd heard rumours of and wasn't sure I wanted to read about it) I am glad that I've read it, although, yes, tears were shed. I think I'm going to have to start at the beginning again now.
  14. I'm glad he didn't get the part. I really liked Erik as Malucci. (and yes, I'm still pissed that TPTB didn't seem to have any idea what to do with the character and just wrote him out instead of trying harder)
  15. Orla and Erin got the same. 1 x A, 2 x Bs and a few Cs. Claire got straight As. Michelle passed but just about and I don't they mentioned how James had done. Siobhan broke her leg while she was filming 'Holding' down in Cork (adapted from a Graham Norton book). She mentioned in a recent interview that it happened while she was messing about on her bike after work and also that while they were able to film her sitting down (during Holding) in some scenes they have her standing up but out of camera shot there's a few crew members holding her upright.
  16. Just finished reading 'Call the Midwife - A labour of love' by Stephen McGann. It's an official behind the scenes guide to the first ten years of the show and features contributions from pretty near all the main cast over the past 10 years, as well as writers/producers/directors/props people etc. I'd call it a 'must read' for anybody who watches the show regularly.
  17. I got the book through Amazon UK (substantially cheaper than Amazon.com) It is well worth shelling out for though, IMO. There's contributions from pretty near all the cast and it gives a summary of each episode together with detailed looks at each season. A lot of behind the scenes photos and interviews with the behind the camera people (writers/producers/props etc)
  18. @Egg McMuffin I remember that storyline. IMO they should have just hired the lookalike actress and blamed the accident for any changes in her appearance.
  19. Hart to Hart was different though, because it was never a case of 'will they won't they', it was more 'they already are'. So it's not quite the same as those examples.
  20. Okay, so was that fanfiction written by or featuring Ted Cruz? Because that's an important distinction...but I think that brain bleach will likely be required either way.
  21. BJ was trucker and Bear was the chimp. "BJ McKay and my best friend Bear" (and now I have that title song as an ear worm, thank you very much!)
  22. Ressler doesn't need to lie to protect Sarah. For one thing, she could easily be below the age of criminal responsibility (did they say how old she was?) Even if she's old enough to be held responsible for her actions, all she did was shoot at somebody who was holding a gun on her mother. She didn't even kill her. I suppose that arguably she should have put the gun down when a law enforcement officer ordered her to, but honestly, I can't see any reasonable authority trying to make a case against her. That said, she should probably get some therapy to deal with what her mother was doing to her.
  23. I may have yelled at the screen when she just deleted it. She should have saved it to another document just in case there was anything she could have used later on. You should never never NEVER delete something just because you think it's bad now.
  24. I wanted to scream at Carina in the evidence collecting scene to tie her damn hair back out of the way. I know they play fast and loose with the requirements for protective clothing when collecting evidence on tv, but how difficult would it be to have a long haired character use a hair band.
  25. Making bad jokes isn't illegal. Physically assaulting somebody is illegal. That's why one person is banned and the other isn't.
