The announcers just said that Marshawn Lynch worked out with a high school team while he was on suspension. What they didn't say was that that got the high school team in trouble with the California sports authorities, because it's against the rules for high school teams to work out with non-team members. I don't know what the penalty will be.

I just saw Beautiful: The Carole King Musical at the Sacramento Community Theater. First let me say that when I was stationed in Germany, we went to see Carole in concert in Frankfurt, and she dedicated "So Far Away" to the American military members in the audience, so I've always felt a special connection her, but I just loved this. So many great songs. And not only does it include Carole King and Gerry Goffin songs, it also includes the songs of their friends and competitors Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann. This production starred Sarah Bockel as Carole King. She had a lovely voice, and did the role justice, though it was clear she wasn't really playing the piano. Andrew Brewer as Gerry Goffin. He had a nice voice, though nothing special. Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann were the comic relief in the play. Sarah Goeke as Cynthia Weil. She was my favorite performer of the play. She had a great voice. Jacob Heimer as Barry Mann. His role is largely that of the buffoon, and he isn't expected to sing well. In fact in one song, his horrible singing is part of the joke. But when he rocked out to "We Gotta Get Out of This Place", he was awesome, and it was favorite performance of the show. James Clow as Don Kirshner. He was *HORRIBLE*. Terrible acting. Ugh. The ensemble, serving as various acts of the 50s and 60s, were really good.

Why is it ludicrous to report on the news what every agency was reporting at the time? If Brazile is backpedaling on what she said in a published book, it's not The View's fault. Whoopi also got snarky when Sunny was trying to get somebody to answer her question and Whoopi finally said, "Would somebody please answer her question?" And then both of them stopped talking and Joy took over. I wonder if the producers were telling them in their ears to calm their jets.
