  1. I'd seen enough speculation that it was Ryan that I wasn't surprised. John is an irredeemable, horrible POS. Julianne Nicholson did a great job falling apart but I kind of don't like Lori. My biggest problem had to do with Dylan: he was portrayed as violent and monstrous and I don't feel any of that was adequately explained. And Dylan’s parents just handed over the kid to Lori, who had literally no more biological claim to him than they did? That was bizarre to me. Still, despite that, and them killing off the fabulous Evan Peters, this was a really good show. Kate is one of my fave actors, and she did a masterful job, as did Jean Smart. I'm glad we watched
  2. The breakup seemed inevitable, but it was still really hard to watch. I agree that Nicholas would be very difficult to live with, but that he does love Alex the best way he knows how. I wonder if they might use Josh Thomas' recent realization that he's on the spectrum to frame the storyline for Alex and Nicholas, and have them come to a new understanding, and not break up On the other hand, anyone who watched Please Like Me (and anyone who hasn't really really should) knows that Thomas is not afraid to get dark and real and sad, so the breakup might really stick I thought Drea would say no too.
  3. Its been renewed. Yay. I like the show too. The cast is charming, even when the characters are not.
  4. I adore this show, its my favorite, I will always watch. I hope we get another season.
  5. I thought it was very funny. I don't have much more to add; the cast is excellent, everyone has superb comic timing, it's consistently witty and fast paced. The half hour flies by, which is usually fairly indicative, for me, that it's an entertaining show.
  6. Well, this doesn't bode so well for this show...no posts at all. But I hope people are watching. My guy and I are both finding it charming and funny, even when the family--as they did last nite--was behaving completely insufferably. But they KNEW they were...there was self awareness there, at least. I continue to love the cast. We call our big dumb beautiful floofy cat Jimmy Tatro (his real name is Atticus) sometimes, cuz that is who he would be if he were a person. It's driving me crazy, and I've googled but can't find: who is the Jack Black doppelganger from last nite's ep? I've definitely seen him in other things but can't remember where.
  7. I've seen Brian Austin Green fairly often and knew he was guest starring, I thought he did a pretty great job, myself. He was really funny. And he's really hot. I do NOT see him falling for Darlene cuz at this point I don't know why any guy would (and I used to love and relate to Darlene). But I was pissed at Ben too for not compromising on a little getaway.
  8. I'm really mad about them picking Madison over Graham. Its some bullshit.
  9. I loved it, honestly. Pilots are so often NOT very good, but this one was funny and charming and quirky from the start. Yeah, a sort of new version of Modern Family, but I'm okay with that. I love the cast. And I dunno, I think Topher looks pretty darn good.
  10. Is no one watching? This is just my very fave current show, it's so weird and adorable and inherently sweet. I was so excited to have it back and it didn't disappoint.
  11. Sure, he's not conventionally good looking, but being very familiar with Walton Goggins from lots of previous roles, most especially the hyperarticulate, smooth talking Kentucky outlaw Boyd Crowder, I definitely find him attractive. Like, he makes my laminated list. However, I'm unsure if I'd never seen him in another role that The Unicorn's Wade would. I like him, but this role doesn't embody the best of WG.
  12. I also just realized/remembered that Hamish and Lily are a real life couple. They are just both so crazy talented. I did not see the twist with the missing daughter coming, so good for the show for that. I do think it's way too top loaded with stories and terrible people, it could have used some editing. But all in all, it's made for some pretty interesting tv watching, if for nothing but the acting alone.
  13. Literally my favorite thing about SoL was Brooke Smith's Catherine Martin. She was tough, she was brash, she was funny. And I LOVED that she adopted Princess, it was such a telling sort of detail about her. Many people suffering such an ordeal wouldn't want anything to do with that little pup, as a reminder of the horror she suffered, so Catherine protectively cuddling that pupper as she was rescued just filled my heart. So I was happy to see that she's still got Princess. But I hated seeing her so broken and shattered and, apparently, now virtually anorexic in the aftermath. While all of that is understandable, to some degree, it's not how I want to imagine her, and it doesn't seem to fit with the Catherine we knew.
  14. This show wishes it was Hannibal. It is not.
  15. This. I said the same thing. WTF is she doing sitting there knitting?
  16. How can you go and fire Guillermo???! Drunk Zoey was funny. But the last thing she needs is yet another guy. For a chick with absolutely no game, she sure gets a lot of cute boyz. I never ever found Skylar Astin especially hot in the Pitch Perfect flicks, but I do find him really sexy here.
  17. Did everyone leave? Just me here? I guessed who Helen might be fairly early on, but it was still a nice little twist. Much like Jude, I kept yelling at her to just get the eff outa there, but of course, no. I like Naomie Harris, and the 2 girls are good too. I have no idea wtf is happening on OSea now, but it sure doesn't look as if jude's presence has helped matters any.
  18. I just kept screaming at him. Idiot. Tho, yeah, I feel that he's being compelled or glamoured by the people or the island. Whatshername is in on it all, I'm guessing? Her story about a super controlling husband who watches everything she does doesn't seem to jibe with her coming repeatedly to this island with its apparently debauched bacchanalia. His poor wife. If he makes it out of this alive, she should kill him
  19. I'm intrigued! No idea what's happening, but it's spooky AF so far, and Jude Law! He is always worth watching. I'm sure the real Osea must have ferries or boat services to take you back to the mainland, and it's gorgeous, but that is so creepy ,those stunning, terrifying overhead views of the causeway becoming engulfed by water. Of course it's nuts that nobody mentioned a boat and Jude never asked, and of course he's going to wind up sleeping with Katherine Waterston, cuz he's Jude Law, and of course, I have no idea if he was shocked to find that money or not, but I'm there next week.
  20. It's complete bullshit that Tom Pelphrey wasn't nominated. Best performance I saw all year. And yesterday was his birthday! What a rotten surprise to be snubbed for such an award worthy performance.
  21. The Game was one of the movies listed on that cryptic weird hidden note Rey left.
  22. I tell myself not to watch this before it's time to go to bed, but then I do, and then I can't sleep. This episode may have been even more disturbing than the last one. The idea that he took the news story about the rapist not entering homes with a man or dog present as some kind of dare or something, and then immediately began doing so...terrifying. He simply seemed to have no fear of getting caught, and mostly he was right. The attitudes toward women who are raped haven't improved much in all these years. I also noticed that the women who were raped by this monster seemed STILL have to take on the role of caretaker/placater for the husbands. Yes, the men endured a trauma as well, and I can only imagine the complicated emotions that a man must have to know he's unable to help or protect his wife while she's being raped. But it was the wife, seated next to the husband who fidgeted and squirmed and said he'd blocked it all out, who reached out and took his hand, as if to comfort HIM, not the other way around. They're still together, so hopefully at least in private he's been a comfort for her. And the other woman, who had just been raped...her husband told her she had to go get help, cuz his bound hands were going numb. Meanwhile, she's also bound, half naked, and has been repeatedly raped. It was very telling. I wonder how Michelle did manage to sleep at night, after spending hours and hours with this guy in her head. I guess, as Patton indicated, not very well.
