  1. Especially when the season started out strong. The first few episodes where they found out early who/what this guy and his island were all about. Danny maybe playing the double agent as the only 1%er in the group, and I thought Karen and Peck were going to escape and be hidden trying to help the others from the outside ( guess that what they are doing with Chet), and as you said the last 2 episodes they were all just in a cage arguing. There were a few funny lines and bits, but I could have done without Florence and Owen going at it about things like voting/taxes. Hopefully the next few pick up the pace now that they are in the "Hunger Games".
  2. Wow, a lot going on this season. Danny trying to keep the city safe, per Matt's request (protect my city), with impending gang wars in China town. Colleen finding something that may point to her past, A new character in Mary, which, not sure where that is going. I always understood Davos and his jealousy over Danny getting the Iron Fist, but like the end of last season, I still do not see Joy's reason for thinking everything bad in her life is Danny's fault and now she wants to destroy him. Guess we will see where that goes. So the very last scene. Was the look on Danny's face more a, he's happy he's getting more control over the fist or a damn I am loving the power of the fist?
  3. Agreed. Something seemed a bit off about this episode to me. It looked...cheap, for lack of a better word. All the props and set pieces looked like they found them in the SyFy warehouse. Those spears with the light bulbs on the end, a big room with just a cryo pod and small green ooze pool. Like they ran out of money or something. And what made it even harder to watch was the actress who played Yardeen. IMHO she was god awful bad. I love me some Killjoys, but bringing a kid onto the show, and making them a major plot point has made me cringe. I just hope I can finish out the season (and next if he is to still be a part of the show)
  4. I thought the whole deal with Leo was that the Synth part of his "brain" did not survive after they needed to revive him. Which is why he is experiencing normal human memory recall. Other than that I think he still has partial Synth internal organs...?
  5. Is anyone else thinking the "The Synth Who Sleeps" is Fred or just me?
  6. I found LC S1 to be a bit of a slog fest after the first few episodes. This show dropped a few days ago and I am only 3 episodes in, so I guess this is following the same pattern of S1 being hard to binge. They are wasting screen time so far every episode with showing music acts where I have to watch the performance interspersed in between dialogue and non action scenes. I get this is Harlem, I get this is Luke Cage, I even get the unique music they are choosing, but having to watch a music set on stage every damn episode is getting repetitive and slowing down the story. Shades is the worst Netflix Marvel character ever, and the actor is no better. I'm going to beat you to a pulp because you called my cougar girlfriend my auntie. I'm going to wear my "shades" at night in a club because I am cool. I'm going to stare menacingly at your daughter because she is taking my place at your side. UGGH. The only thing I have so far appreciated about LC S2 is the constant references to The Defenders and what happened on there. It helps that one of your main characters was adversely effected by those events, but I don't think JJ S2 mentioned any of that stuff once, it was all still just Kilgrave this and Kilgrave that. The mentions of Matt and his sacrifice, Danny, Jessica, and Midland Circle really brings the shared universe and history of these shows together better.
  7. I watched this on Blu-ray recently and there is actually a deleted/extended scene for that which I really thought needed to be in the movie. It was only about one and a half minutes of Mantis dialog. After Drax mentions his daughter and Mantis touches him, she cries and then goes on to express how she's never experienced this (The GotG's) type of love that is both great and heartbreaking, which prompts her to then tell Drax. I mean they seriously could have cut a minute and half from other scenes to keep that in, specifically Yondu/Rocket doing the bugged eyed 700 jumps, or cut some of the (what I thought was) long Ravager funeral scene, of even some of Ego/Peter's fight. It's a shame that they missed the opportunity to really flesh out her character more, with a bit of dialog and opted for cheap laughs or 3D spectacle.
  8. Or even the one in The Da Vinci Code, where the Holy Grail is depicted as his descendant. But I understand why they did what they did making this Jesus scion an imbecile.
  9. Agreed. No but we did get a dog, which reminded me of when Ne-Yo sang with a bunch of kittens. And someone in editing needs to be fired for continuity error with the dog. I thought everyone played really well. I like Scary Poppins so didn't mind the double long rounds of that. If it spared us from a game of Jane singing, more long Scary Poppins please.
  10. http://exstreamist.com/want-to-turn-off-the-auto-play-trailers-on-netflix/ From the article In order to put in a request to get this functionality turned off (or updated), get in touch with Netflix via live chat here. Please be respectful, and remember you’re speaking to a human on the other line. But dropping them a note mentioning that you’re unhappy with these auto-playing trailers is a great way for a “power in numbers” change to be made to the service. The auto play "feature" is extremely annoying. Just like iTunes when they put a big old banners on all my playlists with pictures of the album/songs, it's just as annoying. And it really sucks when companies decide what their consumer base would "like" and just put it in without an on/off option. I hate having to "opt out" of something I never "opted in" for.
  11. I thought it happened twice. Feherty did a tip off of his hoolahoop edge, like a volleyball player would tip it up. But the one I am talking about is Darius catching the ball in the pants, and then popping it out into the other players pants. Jane saw Darius catch it, said wrong and looked down to read the next clue, during this is when Darius did the deed and exclaimed "no we got that right", which is why Jane was all "Oh..." I mean they can't catch it on a bounce so moving it from one persons pants to another just seemed to be on that level of "nope". I would watch it again to verify my memory, but honestly it was a boring episode, I already deleted it off the DVR and don't want to On Demand it and have to deal with the commercials.
  12. I was too, until he decided to turn him. I just find that Cassidy, who seems to be so on point with other people in regards to their feelings and realizing something is wrong or going on, is completely blind when it comes to Denis. I get that he is his son, but it just seems so OOC for him to not see what is going on.
  13. How Do You Doo-Et needs to lose the Et and just make it a single person trying to do the do do do's. Two up there means they keep stumbling over each other. And I thought during Get In My Pants on one team, the wrong person caught the ball, and flipped it out of their pants into the person's who had the right answer. Jane said they got it wrong (which they did, wrong person caught the ball) they countered with "No we got it right" (cause the flipped it) Jane was like "Oh...?" and then you heard the ding for a correct answer. Really seemed like cheating to me.
  14. Luther exploding was reminiscent of the teacher blowing up with the dynamite in Lost. "you are part of the dream team" "I don't know what that means." Was that Emma's face/head on the wall at the end? If so this show took a dark turn.
  15. The cold opening with Jesus was fun. "Getaway Donkeys". Plus I am still charmed by how Tulip eats her pancakes with mountains of whipped cream. I saw Denis being a shit vampire from a thousand miles away so that portion of the story bores me.
  16. Enjoying these, but starting to think they should have just named it Batman's Justice League Action since he is a main player in 98% of the episodes.
  17. Is Jemaine the name of the guy who chained up? (I think I missed what it was) I enjoyed the talk with those two and the whole I use "Really?" I use "Seriously?"
  18. When I first saw Carson my initial thought was, is he even relevant anymore Queer Eye was what 15 yrs ago? As you mention his constant grabby touchy groping was off putting if even in fun. Once is okay, but when it continued it became too much. I would have almost voted for him as celeb to never return, but I have to admit, when the game was on, so was he, and he was good. They all played well I thought. Even Profit, who I thought would be a dud like Michael Bolton, but he wasn't. He was singing along to all the song sung wrong songs. The only one who faltered was Justin during that game and I don't blame him, I didn't know those songs either much less the lyrics. Even though the This is Us cast was dominating and the final round was a bit lopsided in category, who doesn't like a good comeback story? And the civilian smoked the final round.
  19. I've been enjoying these. It's not hyper Chris stroking the show creators or actors about their shows ala Talking Dead. I find the interview rather introspective. But this latest with Jamie Alexander was off a bit. She seemed uncomfortable even though they know each other and for the life of me I couldn't figure out what the hell she was wearing and that distracted me the whole episode. It looked like she had an apron on or a cheap overall top, to where I didn't know if she was covering a pregnancy or something? And those silver shoes. Just not one of the better episodes. I did like the part where she talked about the self defense techniques and knives interesting.
  20. Agreed Yea the constant words of rape and no means yes made my stomach churn. This was just so weird. I had no clue what it was all about. And who didn't see that Dennis would be a shit vampire? Also did anyone else notice that when Tulip went to get the gun from the neighbor, she was handed a black gun, but then she is in the apartment toting around a silver plated gun? Talk about continuity error.
  21. All the Steve stuff this episode was good, especially "My gun killed somebody".
  22. I, for one, am glad you did. I always enjoyed reading your well thought concise posts, like in the Person of Interest thread, and here is no different. I usually agree with what you post and therefore it saves me from having to do so. Except to say thanks :)
  23. I thought it could be Cory for the same reason. She did leave him at the wedding and then professed her love to Owen.
  24. Didn't really care for this episode. Perhap books readers enjoyed it more because they knew who the character was, but an episode dedicated to the back story of newly introduced character seemed off and boring to me. I was also getting a huge Scientology vibe from those scenes, maybe because the actor who was heading the recruiting looked a bit like Miscavige. A decent conundrum for Cassidy to ponder, but things seem to really have slowed down once the threat of the SoK passed.
  25. Thank you thank you thank you. 13 pages of "Dany shot the food" (I thought I was playing the old Gaunlet arcade game "The Elf shot the food" reading that over and over). The army and those wagon's were at the beginning of the food supply line being brought to KL. The rest of the food is down the road where Randyll went off to "whip" soldiers into moving faster.
