If they knew it was coming, I think they would have wrapped things up with a prettier bow than what we were left with. This is sad new indeed.

Because of the clue I thought I found (shown in my prior post) about the Magical Mystery Tour and the Beatles film plot description.

I am a hero, even my avatar is heroic, come on, and he is not wearing spectacles, he is wearing a space age polymer visor to protect his eyes when he fires his laser weapon. 1 to DL Jesse (Spaceman Spiff), 5 to let Jesse enjoy a lil vaca time, and nab a villain. 1 to DL Spaceman Spiff (aquarian1), 5 (is that right? I really don't know.) to make something happen.

I think it was my original post that started all this, but to clarify, I never said they didn't explain Odin, I said "I mean 5 episodes in and they finally verified that Wednesday is Odin." I get they were explaining his identity all along if you understood the clues.

And do people worship those things more than technology or media that he is the Boss of them, for lack of a better term. I think the other 2 would have more followers and therefor be more powerful. I don't think either I nor @Drogo (can't really speak for them), was indicating that we didn't know who Odin was. I surmised that from the first episode and then questioned my own assumption when he wanted to get his hammer (did that mean he was Thor, who would also be able to summon lightning with a dandelion), but when they meet the hammer man and he is a Slavic god, I went back to thinking Odin, then the Slavic God called him Votan and I questioned my assumption again (until someone here said that Votan was Slavic for Odin). I was not aware that Odin was ever known as Wednesday, nor that ravens were his spies. I know him as the father of Thor and Loki and the leader of Asgard and that is it (to @Drogo point). I just made a point that it was finally acknowledged in the show exactly who he is by episode 5. And what or who exactly is a common god that viewer should have knowledge of, aside from Odin and Anubis (who I know from movies like the Mummy). I still have no clue who the god is who hoovers her worshipers up with her vagina, nor the African God who told the slaves to burn the ship. I do know he freed Odin by releasing his hand cuffs, but even here in the forums someone was glad that Mr., Nancy made an appearance, and I wondered Who TF is that? and had to look it up (only to realize it was the spider god). but he was never called that in the show as far as I remember since we only saw him once. And I think this is more to the point as @MRSMITH says, there are too many characters being introduced that we never visit again. At least after Anubis was introduced we got to see him with Laura again, or the spider god showing up to help free Odin. But we saw Hoover vagina twice, doing her thing, and only that and no more. Today it was the Mammoth god (dead already) the Bison god (seen twice) and some tree god coming out of the furniture. Sorry, but if the actress doesn't interest me, the character doesn't interest me, and the characters story arc doesn't interest me, it's fast forward time. If one of those things interested me, I'd pay closer attention.

I watch Buffy I don't watch Once Upon A Time. But I am assuming the town is under a magical dome, Roger would be walking just 1 of his 101 dalmatians, the 7 dwarves would be heading to the mine, it has a diner/inn named Granny's and it has a clock tower and therefor these would not be clues...? This looked clue worthy, but I have no clue what that clue is. I also thought this might be something. *orchestra warms up* which most people consider *white noise* but that didn't point to anyone. Then there is this. Day 1: The Magical Mystery Tour The Film plot reads "The situation is that of a group of people on a British mystery tour[4] in a 1967 coach, focusing mostly on Mr Richard Starkey (Ringo Starr) and his recently widowed Aunt Jessie (Jessie Robins)." That's Jessie playing Jessie, so Jesse (no i just like in team, which means not a team player, not team hero) And then this. "Then a loud crack split the air, and suddenly the desire to dance was gone." Split is the name of a Chainsmokers song. So MMCS That one is a bit weak, but, it's all I came up with.

Dinesh had it right with smashing the phone. When Guilfoyle tossed the phone into the toilet, I was thinking that these are the type of guys to be all up in the latest tech which would be phones that are water proof, or can handle being dunked briefly. TJ Miller seems to be in more and more movies these days, even if they are bit parts. I wonder if that is why he has decided to leave, his schedule is just getting too busy. Erlich always stumbles into something good, it's too much of a repeat, in my eyes, of Big Head...whom we didn't see this episode.

I agree, I had to fast forward through her scenes again. I don't care for the storyline concerning her either. She didn't love when she was alive but now that she is dead she does...bleh, and the constant puppy grates. The opening animation was weird also. Some obviously like all the different visual direction, but I think some of it is lost on me. I enjoyed the meet up in the police station of all the power houses. Mr. World was fascinating, but again, they don't truly explain what he is the god of, or the chair/tree god. I mean 5 episodes in and they finally verified that Wednesday is Odin. The show definitely seems more geared toward book readers.

The first book that got me to enjoy reading just as a hobby was given to me by my 8th grade teacher. It was Jack London’s (dual story book) White Fang and Call of the Wild. This made it easier in high school with the assigned reading of not so enjoyable (Grapes of Wrath, The Great Gatsby) to enjoyable (Fahrenheit 451, 1984, Of Mice and Men). But like @Glory and @Danny Franks during this time I was given, by a friend, The Hobbit, followed by the Lord of the Rings trilogy and my love for epic fantasy began. From there I started my paper back collection. Weiss & Hickman’s Dragonlance/Krynn series, The entirety of the Forgotten Realms and Ravenloft. Terry Brooke’s Shannara and Landover series, McCaffrey’s Pern series, David Edding’s Belgariad, Stephen R Donaldson’s White Gold Wielder, Piers Anthony’s Xanth and Adept series, , Raymond E Feist’s Riftwar Saga, Melanie Rawn’s Dragon Prince and Exile series (of which she never completed the third book....so mad). Even delved into the horror genre with Stephen King, Dean Koontz and Robert McCammon (Wolf’s Hour being one of my favorite books).

Dark Universe: Universal's New Monsters Franchise
Spaceman Spiff replied to BetterButter's topic in Movies
IMHO that Mummy movie looks bad, really bad. I see echo's of the Arthur shared universe they planned with Guy Ritchie's new movie which has tanked badly and probably killed all hopes there, and I think the Mummy movie may do the same here. -
I believe this airs quite a few weeks later in the states then it does across the pond, isn't that correct? I didn't really care for the couch this week except for Jason and Imelda, but I brought up the delayed airing here because I thought it was quite funny (since I don't care for either Charlie or Guy) that they were promoting their movie and how awesome it was but it was out for 2 weeks already here and tanked badly bringing in only 20+ million.

Yea, oldies to me is Elvis, Buddy Holly, The Everly Brothers. Classic rock is Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Stones. Billy (anything 80's) is retro to me. I can give playing the game a shot. My worry is my participation. 1) as a newbie and 2) timewise. I can only peruse the forums at work during the day. Posting is limited to brief mornings (mostly) or weekends, with evening being iffy (maybe more evening if I am actively playing but I couldn't guarantee) and I wouldn't want to disappoint.

This is incorrect. Wally wasn't in hell. He was in a hospital room reliving his mother Francine's death. And if I remember correctly, she passed away peacefully (not violently). I really wouldn't call reliving that hell. Don't get me wrong losing a parent is tough, but when they pass away naturally, or as natural as a terminal illness is, and peacefully, in a hospital surrounded by doctors to help if there is pain, and with loving family around, meh, Wally had it easy. Wally couldn't save her, she was terminal and even a speedster isn't stopping that. He was reliving a painful memory, but I don't know, after the 10th time I think I would be over it. Now Barry, witnessing his mothers violent dead at the hands of RF, or his dad at the hands of Zoom or Iris at the hands of Savitar and not being fast enough (as a speedster) to stop the plunging sharp objects...that would be hell. After the 10th time, you are still trying to figure out different ways to save them and be fast enough and beating yourself up about it.

I was really bored with this episode. I didn't care about Shadow and his wife's past Didn't need to see the affair, or the BJ and car crash, or Laura trying to commit suicide in a hot tub with bug spray (is that even an effective way?). I ignored a bunch, and fast forwarded through a lot. The only times I think I really paid attention was when she was dealing with Anubis. The first three episodes kept me intrigued, this brought everything to screeching halt. Hopefully next week will bring back my interest otherwise I don't know if I will continue with this show.

The speed force really has a hard on for Barry doesn't it? I don't understand the whole reasoning behind it to be honest. Jay and Barry keep saying that a speedster needs to take Savitar's place in the SF, but prior to Barry creating Savitar and trapping him there, who was the speedster that was trapped for all eternity that Savitar took the place of initially? And where was Jessie? Why wasn't she around to help? I'm sure Earth 3 could do without a speedster for a few minutes while she helps her friends. Savitar kills IrisHR. Savitar threatens to kill KF, Reverse Flash style, if Cisco doesn't help him. Once the bazooka is complete he tells KF to kill Cisco. Joe threatens to "take down" pizza faced Barry. KF tells Cisco to turn bad and kill her when he and Gypsy have her down, but he spares her. Savitar threatens to kill Joe, Wally and Iris (again). Savitar tells Barry to walk over to the dark side and kill him so that he can be created. Iris kills Savitar. The Speed Force takes Barry. Kind of a gloomy season finale no? If they didn't trap Barry in the speed force in a prior episode, this might have been ok, but it now seems like a rehash, again.

*Delurks* What the what? Is that what the kids these days consider Billy Idol...oldies? Retro, maybe, or if you want to, the far off possibility of calling it classic rock, but oldies? *Takes my ancient ass back to lurking, grumbling about kids these days...*

I liked the quick turn around on the whole blood boy thing. At first I found it incomprehensible that Jared and Gilfoyle would just sit there while they explained another one of there ideas in front of an unknown. I expected another "stealing the idea" storyline, but this was better. I liked the blood boys rant to Richard, and then Richard's return after realizing he's nothing but a pot head. Dinesh is cold ratting his girlfriend out to the feds. Gavin just signing the patent over was unexpected, as well as his leaving. Now did the giant head shot of Gavin with the formula have any changes on it, or was Gavin just returning it to Richard (along with a giant headshot of himself)...I couldn't tell.

King Shark knows the Flash's scent and can find him that way. It is why when he was first introduced he attacked the West family home.

It's almost like Iris didn't believe Barry could save her and decided to help Savitar along by wearing that outfit and removing the ring. I mentioned in last weeks episode thread that when Barry was vibed to the future, he mentioned to Cisco that things were different and he noticed HR on the roof with the bazooka, yet here we saw Barry trying to use it, and Joe on the roof and no HR (or Julian) in sight. Maybe Barry will now summon his remnant army, use them, Savitar kills all but one, and this time, they don't shun the remnant...Cold did say Barry's superpower was love, so they show the remnant some love and he doesn't become bitter and doesn't become Savitar breaking the loop...or they use the bazooka on the remnant..I don't know.

I think I would like to add to your list. Guardian now has the ability to somehow wire ride into one of the top floors of a skyscraper, you know, because he has a black belt and they teach you how to do that. They are seriously making him (and I bite my tongue) into a Batman-lite with all the gadgets he now has. The aerosol lead spray reminded me so much of shark repellent, or a scene from Hairspray.

IIRC when Cisco vibed Barry to his visit to the future where Savitar kills Iris, he mentioned something was different "this time" and he saw HR on the rooftop with the bazooka.

S02.E08: All I Want Right Now Is One More Bullet
Spaceman Spiff replied to Athena's topic in Sense8 [V]
I laughed that sex hotel's in Seoul had Hello Kitty themes, and Lito comforting Sun (while in his onesie PJs was awesome). I agree about Felix as well. It will be interesting to see how many different factions of sensates are out there, what they stand for, whose side they are one (if any).
