  1. The one thing I got a hearty chuckle out of was when "drunk" Barry was fighting Ultra Violet and snarking about her outfit, 'I've always liked Mortal Combat." followed by "FINISH HIM"
  2. I found one clue in one game. Because I was high on my victory, I joined and what happened. I killed Buffy on N1 and I was her Watcher.....*shudders* hard to live that down. And you....you with all your GIFs of an evil man made me lynch you on the last day and you were a hero too...I just... I just don't know if I can ever do that again. And that game isn't even listed anymore in the Mafia thread, so obviously it was a disaster all the way round that they don't even want it accessible anymore. First game playing and I had no powers and decimated the hero team. But I may consider posting a lurker postgame review. I never watched Labyrinth so wont be joining that game and like @JTMacc99 said... "Same here. By 1986-1987 my movie tastes had moved into Top Gun, Highlander, Ferris Bueller, Big Trouble in Little China, The Running Man, Lethal Weapon territory. " It's hard for me to play, I can only read the thread during work hours which limits my posting time to evening and early early mornings ( which even then I have to log into work from home, so can't be too distracted). But I have always enjoyed @SilverStormm games and thought the giffy awards were beyond hilarious and spot on.
  3. Here on the sidelines I bought it, had you listed as Dey. This made me think he was the Collector, that and all his funco pop postings, then I settled on Star-Lord for him toward the end of game play. I didn't know he was Yondu, but the way the story was written I thought Yondu was an SK and possibly recruitable (don't know if SK are ever recruitable, but that's what I thought). I had CP as Groot from the obvious clue, and Deeja or Bizz as Mantis and HM as Drax. It's always fun following along.
  4. So I am looking into buying a new pot/pan set. Note, I am single, and do not cook all that much. Summer time is grill time, winter is when I use the cookware more often and that is mostly easy dishes for a single guy. Fish, rice, noodles, chicken etc. etc. What I currently have is old, so I am looking to replace. Plus I may have made the mistake of telling my family I would host Thanksgiving this year. I was looking at this Gotham Steel Cookware Set. The problem is that the reviews seem to range from either 1 star or 5 stars on a 50/50 ratio. Maybe it depends on the 3rd party seller, but when I look at Gotham Steel on Amazon, some of the 1 star reviews have pictures that just make me shiver. I like this set because it has the steamer insert for the 5 qt. Dutch Oven., and all I could think of is I could finally buy some crab legs when I see them at the store. Anyone have any experience with these or is there a brand/set one would recommend I could look at. Also these Multi Cookers any good? What brand would you all recommend for that?
  5. It was Mickey Rooney Breakfast at Tiffany's cringe worthy.
  6. It was on HBO this weekend, so I opted to finally watch it and couldn't agree more. Everything was predictable, even down to the dialogue. I was finishing the characters lines as they spoke them it was so predictable. The spinning trident young Arthur was being taught by Vulko you knew was the Karate Kid Crane Kick to be used in the final battle with his brother. Mera eating the rose, Arthur stopping the Kraken by using his telepathy, like the predictable scene when he was kid with the shark at the aquarium. The Black Manta character was pointless as well as the montage of him putting together his villian armor. The special FX were just so subpar as well. I could blatantly tell every time they were in front of a green screen with the raging ocean behind them. During the battle on land when Mera is running on the roof tops, there was even a few times you could just tell it was the stunt double, like Buffy stunt double obvious. The overly bloated end battle was a huge CGI confusing mess. And don't get me started on the octopus playing the drums. Aquaman was the least interesting character in the Justice League movie, and the trailer for this movie didn't make me want to run out and see it, because it looked so bad. Glad I waited until it was on cable. This was worse then Shazam, but both of them were huge disappointments in my opinion.
  7. I enjoyed this a lot. What bothered me toward the end of the season was it seemed like they were trying to garner sympathy for A-Train and The Deep, which I had none. A-Train with his weeping over his dead girlfriend, that he killed, but blamed Hughie for and then the females assault on The Deep's gills and concurrent breakdown of him shaving his whole body. Plus I didn't understand Annie at the party wearing the skimpy uniform when episodes earlier, in a slightly empowering move for her, she insisted to Madelyn that she was going back to her old costume. Plus the subsequent throwing up in the bathroom. Does it make her sick to her stomach that she had to schmooze that guy at the party, that she physically gets ill? And then when she went to save Hughie she was back in her old costume. Just seemed off. I picked up on the fact the baby had lived when Madelyn told Homelander a different version of the baby's death. Do we even know where they ended up? That home could be anywhere in the US, like a witness protection program.
  8. Saw it recently and I have to agree with the portion I have quoted. I like Levi but he did seem to be over compensating. Young Billy seemed way more serious than how Levi portrayed him in a mans body. The biggest chuckle for me was the whole say my name "BILLY". The scene of "We are like a mile apart I can't hear you" fell completely flat because all I could think of is, if you are a mile apart how do you know he is talking, and not just waiting for you to come after him. I don't think Shazam has super peepers. Overall it was mediocre to me, although I did enjoy seeing the Marvel Family, but thought Mary should have had more to do, she didn't really seem to have a big moment like the others.
  9. I can't find a redeeming quality about this guy. As was mentioned before in this thread. He constantly calls her "babe" even though she told him not to, pressures her for sex even when she is not in the mood, launders money for drug dealers (which got him into his current situation of being a CI for the narcs) and worst offense, he peed in her kitchen sink, and then joked about it later. I'm not sure what the writers are smoking, but no guy would do that, because it's just disgusting.
  10. Come on now. Barry gets enough bashing in his own episode thread, do we really need to do so in another shows thread. I mean maybe Barry knows exactly what happens when someone from the future (his Nora/Zari) messes with their own past and maybe he didn't want to see another person get erased from existence (The dude did just lose a daughter so maybe give him some time to mourn). And even though Zari wasn't technically erased, who she was was fundamentally changed due to her actions, which nobody on this thread seems thrilled about. So I can see Barry giving a "hard pass".
  11. Not the best season finale. Next year it looks like not only is Mona still going to be around, but now we have Zari's brother instead of Zari. The only saving grace being no more Nate/Zari. Best parts to me were Ray playing giant jenga with Vandal Savage and the triumvirate of Barry/Kara/Oliver saying "Hard Pass" when they were called to assist and Nate's little "oh the cross over", it was a good call back to the best episode of the season.
  12. This is why I don't care for the character, and the most recent episode when they were lying in bed and he was pressuring her to have sex. She was all "I'm not in the mood" and he was like "Come on, I'll be quick, like 5 minutes." The line just grossed me out, like way to just think of yourself man. Between those two incidents I just can't understand why Murphy is with him, what she finds attractive about him. Plus as the audience we know the boyfriend is working with the drug guys. Another character I find pointless, although the most recent episode made him a bit more human and less of a caricature. Te female cop dating the criminal who is involved in all this is just too much of an already seen story line. I do enjoy most of the rest of the cast. Murphy, her BFF and her BFFs girlfriend, the cop/daughter, the bartender, hell even the parents are ok to me. So dump the useless characters of Max, Felix and the drug dealer with his girlfriend cop. Give Pretzel more to do, like in the recent episode. I swear that dog looked just as scared as Murphy when they were hiding in the toilet stall, and lets have more scenes like checking for blood on the toilet paper, because right now those are the ones that interest me. I'll keep watching.
  13. I've always liked the character of Nate, and never minded his romance with Amaya, but this is, as you say, UGH! So not needed, especially since during Zari's Hedgehog Day episode she was making gagging face when she overheard Nate/Amaya, so this sudden school girl crush thing just doesn't fly. I am already dreading the next season because you know this will just carry over to it, which disappoints. The only saving grace is that Zari smiles more, and it's a pretty smile.
  14. How can this show get things so backwards? Nora should have been offered a spot on the Legends and Mona should have stayed a member of the Time Bureau, not this mess we have. Gary joining up with a demon because he wanted his nipple back is just as dumb as the theme park Nate's dad was building. And Zari...what have they done to my favorite character?
  15. Did I do something extremely brave to save all my friends or did I finally find a way to kill myself. That line just gutted me, almost had me crying, but was delivered perfectly. Take on Me, that song was so much better than the whole episode that was considered the musical.
  16. For a show that has been extremely solid for two and a half seasons, I have been so disappointed since this came back from the recent winter break, because it seems like the writers are still on that break. Ava's sudden breakup with Sara, Mona's bad wolfie story line, Zari's out of the blue Nate crush, Hank and his stupid magical creature theme park idea (which makes his character as stupid as his other character Biff). Since these are short seasons I am really hoping things pick back up for the remaining episodes and bring the high quality entertainment back.
  17. If I was Dany, the minute Sam started getting all teary eyed and blubbering, I would have explained to him how Lord Tarly and his men, were guilty of treason. They turned against the queen they were sworn to server, Oleanna, defeated and killed her men, and stole all her gold, all in the name of Cerci Lannister who usurped the throne and had no legitimate right to it, all because they "wanted to be on the winning side". Oh and they were wrong. I was the winning side. I also gave them the opportunity to change their wicked ways and server me, but your father declined. I then considered sending him to the wall but he declined that too. So I had to execute him. Then your foolish brother decided to stand with your father. *SHRUG* Your family is not too smart LORD Tarly.
  18. Speaking only for myself, but the thing is I don't want to see it, which is why this hinting of a hook up bothers me. That episode is one of my favorites and I think I still have it on my DVR. Yes Zari and Nate had great interaction in that episode. Nate was so readily trusting of what Zari told him (because time traveling ship and the things he has seen) that he just went along with it, which is why him not giving Nora the benefit of the doubt this episode bothered me also. He should know things are never as they seem. But back to the relationship. I don't know about others, but the Zari/Nate thing bugs because, for me personally, it is just not something that is/was done amongst a group of friends. You never dated someone in your group of friends that someone else dated, it was like an unwritten law. Zari and Amaya were friends. Amaya had a serious relationship (sexy times) with Nate and even loved him. So Zari jumping on the Nate train now that Amaya is gone...is icky.
  19. Both the transformation effect and the final product of WereMona are just plain awful. Which is a surprise considering they rarely fail on that part of the show. Limited effects, yes, for budget purposes, but bad effects no. And that scene was a huge cliche in my opinion. When someone enters a room, views a situation, and draws the completely wrong conclusion. It especially rang false to me that Nate would jump to that conclusion as well. He knows Nora was trying to turn her life around, that his bro Ray has an invested interest in her well being, that she willingly gave herself up to the bureau, even went out of her way to help Constantine that one episode, yet he automatically accuses her? Which is why last week it seemed to come out of no where and this week they doubled down. Nate already hooked up with an awesome shipmate in Amaya, there doesn't need to be a Nate/Zari hook up. I really wish some shows would just allow people to be happy being single and having awesome friends. I laughed every time because even I was saying to the TV "You forgot Charlie".
  20. I agree. I don't care for her and she took away too much time from other characters, and now that she is a werewolf it seems we are doomed for more of her. After the awesome episode we left off with for the winter break to come back and have a Mona-centric episode was a disappointment for me. Yep, she is to awesome to get bogged down by romance. I flinched last season when they hinted at a Jonah Hex hook up and did the same here. There were some good things in this episode. I was amused at Charlie and Constantine calling Ray Rage when they were trying to convince him to leave the ship. The way Sara flicked the cigarette from John's mouth. Mick realizing Mona reads his books. Zari eating everything off the plates that were passing her by.
  21. Thanks for this. I didn't pick up on that. See the music was such a distraction this episode I wasn't paying that close attention I guess. Had I actually read the thread before posting, I would have seen it was discussed already. Glad I wasn't the only one confused though.
  22. I completely agree. It's rare that I am disappointed in an episode of this show, but those musical numbers felt to much like fan service to me, and I was always taken out of the episode when the songs started, and was actually looking away from the tv during them. I had a mild chuckle when Kady belted out the one verse and heard Margo say something like "show off" but other than that, half the episode was wasted for me. I also didn't understand why Monster Eliot killed the girl he met in the bar.
  23. I enjoyed this as well and I am surprised no one is posting. My Stand-outs Three Robots Sonnie's Edge Shape-Shifters Lucky 13 When the Yogurt Took Over Alternate Histories
  24. Sara did seem middle of the road for most of the competition, but did seem to start doing well toward the end. To me the telling part was when the chefs first sat down and watched the video's of their time on TC. Each video ending with, "and the winner is Kelsey, and the winner is Kelsey, Kelsey, Kelsey, and the winner is Eric, Eric, Eric, Eric, and the winner is Sara. Her name was only shown being called once as the winner, so if she had won the finale it would have been a huge accomplishment, but I think I would have felt robbed that a chef who did better during the season didn't win.
