  1. What makes me sad is this is the day before her wedding. She should be going out to lunch with her girlfriends, going to the spa, drinking champagne, laughing, buying sexy lingerie, packing for her honeymoon, doing last-minute pre-wedding fun stuff. ?
  2. I was just thinking how dressed up they both look for their anniversary dinner. (Insert "sarcastic" font here).
  3. Even Husband noticed! And he was barely watching!
  4. Not so much. I caught the one with the frozen waffles and the sausage and the cheese and the jalepeños and the onions and the cilantro and the hot sauce and the ... well, everything not nailed down. It looked DISGUSTING. Katie Lee then cut it so the egg yolks oozed all over. And then Sunny jumped in to "eat it like nachos." Like with no silverware. Um, no. Just. No.
  5. Oh! I know! I know! How to freeze herbs. I do the same thing but I use MUCH less olive oil.
  6. I thought it was at the 6 month mark ~ that is when she hands off her latest blessing to their buddy ...
  7. You are my new favorite person in the entire world. Jilly Moonbeam? Manbun Doofus? Will you be my BFF???
  8. I'm sorry, when I see the title of this thread, I think of Guy Fieri from Food Network. I always think, "what does he have to do with courting???"
  9. It was a bad caricature. I was embarrassed for the "contestants." Then I saw the one guy (the Jerry Lewis wanna-be) from The Worst Cooks in America and I was embarrassed for him. I was embarrassed for the judges/mentors. I was embarrassed for all of us that were watching. I only made it through the first round only because I had it on as background noise while I was actually, um, cooking. RIP, Food Network. RIP.
  10. What she said ^^^ you just have to play around until you find a way you are comfortable with. If you ask 100 people, you will get 100 different recipes. It took me years to tinker with my recipe until I got one that is perfect for us!
  11. Certainly. I have no measurements, I just go by look and smell and taste. I quarter the tomatoes, roast them and put them through a food mill to get rid of the seeds and skin. I dice an onion and a ton of garlic and brown in olive oil. Add the fresh tomato, 1 can of San Marzano crushed tomatoes, 1 can of tomato paste, red wine, some sugar (to cut the acid of the tomatoes), oregano, basil, ground black pepper and a little sea salt. Let it simmer for 3-4 hours, stirring about every 15 minutes or so. Towards the end I add some chopped fresh basil. Your house will smell amazing. Then I let it cool and put in quart ziplock freezer bags (so they lay flat in the freezer). Mmmmmm.
  12. I would totally hurt people for those tomatoes! We planted 45 tomato plants this year and I have been making an average of 4-5 quarts of sauce a week and freezing it. We are nearing the end of the harvest (Cleveland, OH) and I am seriously considering hitting up the farmer's markets to buy more tomatoes to extend the "sauce-making season." Homemade sauce is simply the best. Um, where are you, Jyn??? :) I would pay you big time for those tomatoes!
  13. I am dying here with the "Babe" and "Jinge" thing we have going on here. Love you guys!
