  1. Right now, I get excited if there is a new post in this thread. Hoping to hear about Sweet Maisie!
  2. I love that. "Hugging you to my heart." There are SO MANY people doing that right now to you, Sweet Maisie, and Mr. wanderwoman. I hope you can feel it.
  3. Sending lots of prayers and hugs to you and your family, wanderwoman!
  4. I did and I loved it. I will definitely be watching it again. I even enjoyed it when they re-ran it on Sunday!
  5. I am over it. I watched about 45 minutes of it and walked away. They are all too much of a caricature for me. Jumped the shark.
  6. I think she was walking (you know, the "healthy" episode) and the graveyard was the "turnaround" point of her walk.
  7. Lura, you are just fine. I have never eaten a black-eyed pea in my life and all is well in my world. HOWEVER ... I was raised believing you had to have some type of pork on New Year's Day. As long as we eat a piece of ham we are good to go. One year we had none in the house, and I made Husband drive to a CVS or Discount Drug Mart and buy a Lunchable so we could have our ham! I also use salad for prosperity, too (lettuce = money) because I can't stand sauerkraut. Hey, if I believe it will work, it will! :)
  8. I buy this pasta from Amazon and do indeed make my own Spaghetti-O's sometimes. I still do have a few cans handy in case of emergency, however ... :)
  9. I think we are forever friends. I also cook 99% from scratch. My MAJOR comfort food is Spaghetti-O's and Twinkies (frozen, please.). I keep a can of Spaghetti-O' in my desk at my office, and a Twinkee in my freezer (in case of emergency.) If I am having a bad day, I pull out the Spaghetti-O's. If I am having a REALLY bad day, I pull out the Spaghetti-O's and eat them straight from the can. That is when everybody knows to back away! :)
  10. Can I come too? I am a pretty good cook and baker. I can bring food if someone brings wine. Pinot Grigio is my wine of choice.
  11. I know! I saw that yesterday and it bugged me to no end! I was actually yelling at the TV, "it's SHRIMP ... not SHRIMPS. SHRIMP!" minor pet peeve of mine.
  12. I snorted out loud when I got to "the tears of the baby Jesus..."
  13. AHHHH!!!!!! My BFF ordered Ina's cookbook for me for my birthday in August. Just arrived today!!!!!!!!!! OMG! I will be reading it this evening!
  14. My birthday is in August. My BFF ordered the cookbook for me for my birthday. I CANNOT wait to receive it!
  15. That is my go-to wedding soup recipe. I just made it last week. We LOVE it. One change I make is I buy Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese rinds and add maybe 4 or 5 after I add the stock so it all simmers together. When the soup is done, I just remove them. A friend of mine that lived in Italy told me that trick. Makes a huge difference!
  16. You said, "a-titter"! All right, my 5th grade self just got put in a time-out ...
  17. I'll bring some wine. We may need a few bottles.
  18. "... Jill is getting more like her mother in not saying "Thank You." Her replies are the typical "Awwwww or that was sweet....." Jill may not know any better. That is all she has seen for her whole life. She may think that is the norm.
