  1. I don’t know what it says about me, but... after seeing this I swore I’d never eat octopus again, yet here I am, entering the final week of Greek Orthodox Lent, with octopus in my fridge.
  2. You may not be aware (this is a place where showing clips may have helped), but the winning short film, Two Distant Strangers, is about the death of Black Americans at the hands of the police.
  3. As a proud U of Michigan grad (note my user name), I’d want to encourage your son that way... but damn, out of state tuition is such a scam.
  4. Oh look. Matt is exercising. Take a shot. (Or eat your feelings in ice cream. Whatever.)
  5. The interviewer, Rachel Lindsay, is not the authority of all things Bachelor, but certainly an important voice when it comes to the BIPOC contestant experience on The Bachelor. And I’m with you, I often cringe when I think back on dumb stuff I said or posted in my youth; if I’m ever called on it, I’ll admit my ignorance, apologize, and continue trying to be better.
  6. 10000000000% She tried so hard to get herself eliminated.
  7. So, he essentially liked Abigail enough that he didn’t give her a one-on-one date, then somehow developed feelings for the women who did get one-on-ones. Funny how that works.
  8. Watching her drive away in the minivan made this whole charade worth it.
  9. I wouldn’t be surprised if her hometown date was re-edited to cut out any questionable reactions and drama. It’s going to be all smiles and no tough questions.
  10. I do not like Pieper’s white boots. That is all.
  11. I hope this works, but she reminds me of this girl from Juno.
  12. They do. Eloise runs off soon after Colin and Pen get married (the night they reveal Whistledown). There’s a plot point in book 4 where Colin thinks Eloise is Lady W because she spends most of the book hiding in her room / writing. And Francesca and Michael miss Eloise’s wedding, as they are up in Scotland, and decide to marry. In book 6, we see Colin also providing counsel to Michael as he’s coming to realize he’s in love with Pen. So I agree, those three stories could be compressed into one to two seasons.
  13. I’m thinking Crocodile is Nick Carter; a couple of weeks ago I heard it in his voice and tonight’s clue... he and the Backstreet Boys sang in heaven at the end of the cult classic, “This Is The End.” I was hoping he’d go tonight so I could see if I was right. I never would have guessed Dr. Elvis and thought he performed better than Crocodile, but maybe he had to get back to his real job / saving lives.
  14. That would make a lot of sense. 9 times out of 10, if I can’t figure it out instantly based on voice, the clues are not going to help.
  15. Delurking to say that I’m pretty sure Jellyfish is Olympic snowboarder Chloe Kim. What got me was the clue about her dad making huge sacrifices for her career, and I remember Olympic coverage about her dad who spent weekends driving her five hours from home to competitions in northern CA. I found one video online of her singing a Post Malone song and I think I’m onto something...
  16. My guess for the rabbit is Jordan Knight. Original clues pointed me towards someone from NSYNC, but the voices don't align for me. And can pop culture expert Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg please go away already?
  17. I haven't seen any of the previous iterations of this movie (shame... should I catch up in the next week?), but I've been watching this on repeat and I am amped for October 5. Shallow
  18. Felt the same way to me with all of those camera angles. And nothing about Ramona's delivery felt natural.
  19. Preferred Marble and Granite also installed MY quartz countertops. The connection to these yahoos makes them feel somehow tainted now.
  20. Three episodes in and it's official, Katy is my least favorite of the judges. I don't care for the energy she brings to the panel. And the last audition left me sobbing. I thought it was a really sweet moment for the contestant and her best bud.
  21. Is this an undercover episode of Intervention? I don't think I've ever seen anyone this manipulative on TV.
  22. Hercules Mulligan is now moonlighting as a therapist.
  23. I'm also not sure how he's connected to the shop (owner/host/whatever), but what a coup to have THE David Emanuel who designed Princess Diana's wedding gown on the show.
