  1. I ultimately think Cleo is a compelling, complicated, and and interesting person… but this was boring. I think a lot has to do with how they told the story and who they chose for the commentary. Raven-Symone, why?
  2. Like the husband from the honeymooning couple said… he wishes he’d been given a choice, that they’d explained the conditions on the island before the excursion. Maybe he would have turned back, maybe he wouldn’t have. Hindsight! It was a really heartbreaking documentary. I would have liked a little more on the aftermath… with regards to pilots who ignored the directions, who is culpable for people being on the island that day, etc. After watching this I went to Disney+ to watch Fire Of Love about two volcanologists (a French couple). It was fascinating and also heartbreaking… but I was also in awe of the imagery and I learned a lot about volcanoes. There is no exact science to predicting the timing and trajectory of a volcanic eruption, so I think I’ll just stay away from volcano related tourism.
  3. As a Michigan fan… this win will be delicious.
  4. We all saw this one coming… Tyler and Brittany Snow split!
  5. All I know is what he’s said on the radio show… he had Melissa on as a guest and she was candid in that she did not pay for the bathroom, Amazon did.
  6. I listen to Jeff’s show on Radio Andy (on Sirius XM). One thing I appreciate about him is that he is an open book on literally every topic in his life. His humor can be biting and sarcastic and catty, but you can hear the progress he’s made through therapy… he talks about regrets regarding some of his imploded personal relationships (like with Chaz) and accepts responsibility. Anyway, I’m not sure if some of these are spoilers because he discusses openly on his show… Amazon funds the renovations, so Melissa did not pay $150k out of her own pocket for that bathroom, which makes me roll my eyes even harder at the whole charity contributions thing.
  7. I have been a faithful listener (a member of the “con-gregation”) since discovering Laci’s Scam Goddess podcast early in the pandemic. She definitely focuses more entertainment / comedy aspect of the scams, and her energy amuses me. I get that she’s not for everyone, but I think this show approaches these stories with a mix of serious crime story and schadenfreude. What I’ve learned from all my con-tent consumption is that most everything is a ponzi scheme and if an investment opportunity sounds too good to be true… IT IS.
  8. Melissa did say that. And Jeff made the point that for us normies, a $150k remodel on a bathroom that was already pretty nice is crazy. If I had more money than God, I can’t say I’d be any more rational, but I did think Melissa’s excuse about already having made her charity designations was disingenuous. I guess she did scrap her closet remodel for budget reasons, so I’ll give her that.
  9. They used to feel like real homes. I now just assume they are in Airbnbs or something similar. It was fun seeing Max for the 200th episode.
  10. It’s definitely not my favorite but I’ll say this… I appreciate seeing all the bold choices and people trying to have personality. I’ve grown tired of design shows where everything is grey and neutral. It’s also very fun for me to critique these expensive remodels. All the finishes in Melissa’s bathroom were high end, but it drove me nuts how shiny and reflective all the surfaces were.
  11. Yes. But if you don’t subscribe to that, you can join this for free. Regardless, the episodes are with ads no matter how you access. https://www.amazon.com/adlp/freevee-about
  12. But it’s actually on Amazon’s FreeVee service… so steaming for free with commercials.
  13. I’m really enjoying this series. Dare I say that Jeff has… mellowed?
  14. I’m not defending Bitcoin because I am opposed to it as a currency, but it is accepted by many retailers. It’s certainly moved beyond the dark web into the mainstream.
  15. I believe goes by Yusuf / Cat Stevens now (at least professionally... I'm on his email list).
  16. But then I wouldn’t be coming back to these forums two days later to read more debate on the topic! Where’s the fun in that? 🙃
  17. I have an on again/off again relationship with the housewives. This episode reminded me of what I like best about them… I laughed out loud at Shannon’s neuroses, Giselle shading Dr. Wendy (something about how the bigger her smile, the more you know she’s lying), the countess and her cabaret. I guess what I’m saying is loved this episode. I think it was the most organic execution of a Bravo tie in. And Team Bones and Miss Shannon for me… she looked great.
  18. Confirmed. Timothée wanted a mullet like Joe Exotic. https://people.com/style/timothee-chalamet-wanted-dont-look-up-character-to-have-a-mullet/
  19. I think your guess somehow incepted me because I thought Cupcake sounded like Todrick. I have no ideas if the clues matched because I wasn’t paying attention and I just guess based on voice (the clues have become impossible for me).
  20. Maybe I’m a bad person, but I wondered if Risha’s sister chose to disengage from the family because her mom is such a negative / toxic person and treated her husband the way Lopa does Vishal.

I thought Nastia may have been trying to channel that Tara/Johnny fashion energy from figure skating coverage; it was too much for me. (But you do you, Nastia.)
  22. I get that Kate’s weight is often a storyline in the show, but comments on Chrissy Metz’s body independent of that storyline are irrelevant and unnecessary.
  23. Maybe this show has broken me, but I loved music trivia. Glenn Close had me rolling.
