  1. Ain't that the truth! This show could be used in developmental psych classes to show the effects of parenting on multiple future generations down the line. Hey, maybe that's how they could bill it instead of preventing teen pregnancy.
  2. Poor Fiona, she doesn't deserve this!
  3. Yes, classic 1990 glamour shot from the mall!!! Didn't comment on Vivi before but she's absolutely adorable.
  4. Cate was the one who was threatened by the NJ spinoff. I think both of them inexplicably hate anyone who might steal a tiny bit of their thunder. I believe that story about them pretending not to know her.
  5. Now I'm just imagining Amber at a workplace. 3 HR complaints by 11 AM on her first day, no doubt.
  6. I would honestly settle for this particular Real Woman to just lift her butt off the couch. Like, just lift it a tiny bit. P.S. does anybody else hate Amber the most? I definitely hate Amber the most; you could make an argument that Jenelle or Kail is worse, but I personally hate Amber more than anyone on this series. Am I alone in this?
  7. Every time she says "real woman" I cringe inwardly. Remember when she said that a "real woman" takes domestic violence? Charming.
  8. Yeah, I mean, I'm pretty sure MOST people don't adore working, unless they're absolutely passionate about their field. You aren't special, Tyler.
  9. Yeah, without the makeup she looks younger, but like, a solid 33 instead of 45. Definitely not 21!!! And hey, people in their 30s are very attractive, but can you imagine what she's going to look like when she actually IS 33?!
  10. Mean Girls reference for the win!
  11. Every time the Grace Report references the letter, she makes it different, more exaggerated numbers, it's hilarious-- "oh, and that's when Mackenzie told her she hadn't let her know about Ryan's drug use for 10,000 days, 43 million hours, and 64.4 billion minutes" etc.
  12. I don't really care if Diane Downs and the Homophobic Domestic Violence version of Herman Munster want to take sexy photos or what not...I just can't even fathom literally doing it while holding my kid? Weird as f*ck. OK now that I think about it, Herman Munster is the perfect doppelganger for David. Sorry if anyone's already said that.
  13. I love gushy emails and texts, we send them a lot. But not...like these ones. If my husband responded like that to a compliment I'd think he hated me, I wouldn't think Tyler liked me if I was Cate at all. Oh, wait... LOL I'm just imagining them being carried in on couches!
  14. Seriously, you can't just take a pic of your son fishing?
  15. That's great! Gestational diabetes is very rough, I've heard.
  16. Yeah...Kinko Kathleen and going on Couples' Therapy is not gonna do the trick.
  17. It's funny. Not sure what you're asking?
  18. Yes, this. They think way too much of themselves to have jobs like everyday people.
  19. I'm sorry but WHY does Kailyn only seem to be able to purchase size 6 clothing? JUST WEAR THE 14 ALREADY. Not that there's anything wrong with being a size 14 or whatever she is, but there is an issue with whatever size you are if you only wear clothes too small for you. She's not even very big except for her fake butt. She makes herself look bizarre as if she's kept all of her high school clothing and refuses to admit that she's bigger after 3 children than she was at 15. She looks like she borrowed Vee's clothing. It's SO weird.
  20. Why is adoption always the fake storyline? First Briana and now Maci.
  21. I know, I'm so confused. Maybe he showed up high to a visit?
  22. Honestly looks like a short-girl butt to me. I'm her height with a very similar verging-on-stocky build and when I gain weight, mine looks just like that. It gets to be a little...much. Of course, I don't take photos with it hanging out NEXT TO MY CHILD and squatting to show it off, but I also don't have an abusive husband who probably sets up every shot and is open carrying so everyone's afraid to say no.
  23. I feel you, that's Gary's thread for me. I love the Gar-Bear.
  24. I agree but I also think it's a "historical" thing (because we've watched her from the start). She appeared very lazy in the beginning--although I also think she might have been depressed, but lazy too--and was consistently pampered to something of a ludicrous level. I think she's come a long way; I personally don't think she seems lazy now, she's grown a lot. So people might still be thinking of that. And I agree that it's intellectual curiosity she's missing, not really basic work ethic. She seems like a good mom.
  25. Circling back to this because I'm still agog at the level of codependency in that exchange. "omg you're so great I don't deserve youuuu" "i know, right?" No wonder she never asks him how he feels. In their co-created dynamic, she's the only one who gets to have problems or needs, but he's the only one who gets heaps of praise in return. I guess the puzzle of why he stays with her is solved, at least for me. Unfortunately with that dynamic, she won't ever get better and neither will he. I do feel bad because I think they're some of the only folks in the franchise who've actually gone through significant, long-term trauma, especially Cate. Even the ones who were abused or had addicts for parents as kids (Kail, Jenelle--referring to her dad, probably Farrah) kept their children (except for Jenelle, but she still gets to see him) so don't have the trauma or guilt of adoption at such a young age. But MAN, their relationship is toxic as hell. It's mutual Stockholm Syndrome. It's really sad.
