  1. Me too! I honestly don't think I would have been able to get that question right on the show, because all I could say out loud at home was "JP2 and Joey Ratz!!" Good luck! And your student is an ass.
  2. Yeah, I think it's crappy to have a required ingredient a kid can't taste. AND when one of the kids said something about "bacon sprinkles" and Duff was all excited, I was like, DUDE. Those already exist! They are called Bac-Os (or other brand names) and they are vegan! And possibly too salty to be useful in baking, but still -- they exist.
  3. Yeah, that drives me nuts, too. It's like half the year!
  4. What the hell? Here in Boston, we got a rerun -- Gilbert's second episode where the other contestant guessed Eminem for a clue where the answer was Jack White because she didn't realize there was a picture to look at.
  5. Today's FJ is one that's easier for us watching, I'd guess, because there's been a bunch of press around the 20th anniversary in the past week. (I would have gotten it anyway, I think, but who's to say?)
  6. Years ago, I was on a plane with Benny Ninja and the only reason I realized it is because he was totally posing in the waiting area for no reason. So probably! These are all of my thoughts!
  7. I was with Michelle on Trinity's runway look -- very Madonna. (If other people aren't Olds like me and Michelle, she said "Quien es esa nina?" which is a Madonna reference.....)
  8. Yeah, absolutely. She seems so great now! She's super successful, seems happy in her personal life, etc. I saw her "in conversation" with Gail last year (?) when Gail's book came out, and they had a great time together.
  9. But seriously, the whole time he was scaling fish, Brother should have been plotting out his 10-minute dish!
  10. I'm with @DisneyBoy -- Monet threw the lip sync, which I can see as a strategy move. It's the Big Brother "avoid blood on your hands" play. Which doesn't make for much of a *star* IMO, but might keep you around a little longer.
  11. The running around for the $20K has always bugged me, so I always love it when they dispense with it! And Jamie (?) was so great at this game in particular! But I bet Guy brings the other finalist back, because he was totally into her.
  12. I've been in that French Quarter store! And noped right out when I saw the prices. The stuff looked cool, though. I like that Marcus doesn't artificially rope in nonprofits, but when these folks were already working with YEP, he dug right in there. And agreed that if the woman who designed the little colored bags also has a retail (or sales? I don't remember) background, she should just be in charge of everything.
  13. I thought it was funny that the original place did look like an actual New York deli with random crap piled everywhere... and the "authentic" Marcus version looked like a cartoon. I also liked that the business wasn't a disaster and the people weren't dumpster fires, but it made for kind of a boring show.
  14. For the record, there are more than two people who would have gotten "yatus"!!
  15. I know everyone else has said this already, but I really don't know how anyone would have made that apple jolly rancher flavor work! I wish all shows did the "Masterclass" ala GBBO, because I'd love to see what Duff could make of that. Of course, he'd probably pick a normal flavor to work with. It happens on every one of these shows at some point -- the varied challenges screw one contestant and they end up going home (bad flavors, kids not knowing what the thing is, etc.). I feel like they should be better at making them even at this point. Thanks for commenting, @Sherrytheannoying!
  16. I totally agree Josh should have won. I work near him, and have never worked up my gumption to say anything to him, but with them re-running the season, this may be my time!
  17. Joon Pahk, right? A Hometown Hero for me!
  18. A Moral Defense of Chidi's Swoleness: An Ethical Examination of Abs in "The Good Place"
  19. But Tyler will be the one who has to choose who goes home -- so it's not like he's totally off the hook. Assuming JC nominates the two women.
  20. I also didn't remember it was from Sesame Street, because I've seen it too many times on YouTube or whatever since I saw it on TV 40 years ago.
  21. That was so good, though. "Doctor Who?" <dingdingding> "Wait, what was the answer?" "Doctor Who!" "What???"
  22. In this case, I wished they had actually had the exact same instructions, because the kids who did the worst (said they) didn't even know what the things were they were supposed to be impersonating! They could have had enough of a range with assigning them all generic lasagna and garlic bread, IMO.
  23. But wait, Woburn is "woo-burn" or "woo-b'n" depending on your accent. It's Waban that's "wha-bin," no?
  24. In addition to Anne Burrell on Giada's teeth, did anyone else think it was throwing shade that they highlighted the fries benedict at Nighthawk? (Also, why does every show film there??)
  25. Yeah, I also googled Kool Kids just now, and found a Yelp link at the bottom of the page. Shouldn't all this clienteling and whatever come with SEO?
