I'll give Buzzy and Austin both credit for being decent people. (Austin replies right underneath.)

Looking for information on "modest fashion," I found this article that I thought did a good job of laying out the discussion points people have been hashing over here.... http://www.refinery29.com/2017/01/134958/modest-clothing-fashion-trend

Aftermath in the Media
Jesse replied to zxy556575's topic in Leah Remini: Scientology And The Aftermath
My DVR is telling me ep2.12 is going to be on tomorrow night at 8, in case that's news to anyone else! -
Does anyone else think they re-cut this episode to explicitly include conversations with the models when they were touching them in various ways?

Guy's Grocery Games - General Discussion
Jesse replied to David T. Cole's topic in Guy's Grocery Games
I'm finally watching this episode, and I kind of love that they couldn't get a white person to judge the spicy challenge! -
Dave, I'm so sorry. I was afraid it was something like this taking you away, and my father died two weeks ago, AND that's how I deal with things, so I was 100% there for your snapping.

Ha! She must be Louis Virtel's cousin, right? She said someone else Virtel, and that three of the cousins had been on J! He is one of my favorite past contestants.

My mother got FJ instantly, and I would never have gotten it in a million years.
-
Foreshadowing! Right? That was hilarrible. Same.

I know this is not at all the point of the episode, but I was impressed that Nathan said "drink the Flavor Aid," not "Kool Aid," because isn't Flavor Aid what they actually drank at Jonestown? He has been studying up on cults.

Me too! (Usually I just know things from reading mysteries, like Sookie Stackhouse.) I was surprised at a lot of the TSes tonight.

S09.E03: Third Wave Water, Fidgetland, Tangle Pets, Enso Rings
Jesse replied to Tara Ariano's topic in Shark Tank
I think there are more people than you'd think who can't wear a wedding ring to work, and might want to, even beyond the safety issues -- my cousin worked in the jewelry industry, and they couldn't have any metal on them at all at work -- I guess because they used metal detectors for theft prevention? -
Even if they are all wearing clothes they made themselves, presumably they made them over a longer period of time, and with fewer challenge constraints, than anything they are making on the show.
-
Yeah, those were not that hard. I feel like they must have psyched themselves out avoiding wrong answers. I really thought this might be the day! Anyone who's been playing all week has got to be exhausted by the time they film Friday's show.

I'm willing to bet that dressmaker's dummies still use "classic" sizes (like wedding dresses do?) and so an 18 would be a modern 14. Whether or not Liris is buying 14s (and at what store) is another question!

I didn't actually see the episode, but did anyone point out that the 2nd Avenue subway is the Q?

Aw, the Guinness thing was cute!

Oh my god, Austin is KILLING ME. Yeah, that must have been Pasha, because Alex said something to him about a mistake being ok in regular Jeopardy.

On the Kentaro word-choice front, different words have different connotations in different places, even in the same language. I know a white woman from Zimbabwe, and there "colored" is an appropriate, official way to refer to some people. Imagine the reaction she got when she used it here!

Isn't that the original Dr. Will playbook? Tell everyone you're going to lie to them and tell them what they want to hear, then do exactly that -- to everyone's shock! and surprise! And eventual respect. Speaking of Dr. Will, I think he got a proper facelift instead of relying on fillers, and it worked out pretty well. (Not that people his/my age need or should get facelifts.)

Guy's Grocery Games - General Discussion
Jesse replied to David T. Cole's topic in Guy's Grocery Games
I agree with all of this, and am generally fascinated that Food Network apparently really lets them pick whatever charities they want -- Dr. Oz, rehab, Planned Parenthood?? I would have expected all animal shelters and pediatric cancer, you know? -
Dressing up in costumes, like from sci-fi movies/tv shows/whatever.

Celebrity Big Brother US Wish List
Jesse replied to dolphincorn's topic in Celebrity Big Brother (US)
So I just went to Danny Bonaduce's wikipedia page, and there's headline, "Altercation with Jonny Fairplay," so now I'm afraid we'll get both of them. Basically, I think Tiffany Pollard is the best-case scenario. ...Sorry, I know this was supposed to be a wish list!
