On rewatch, I really don't understand why they all assume that cake doughnut = baked. Proper cake cider doughnuts are definitely fried!

When I made a crepe cake, I did whipped cream and lemon curd between the layers, and it was delicious, if I do say so myself!

Ugh, I'm so sad for Joshua! (Because I think I know him because I work near him and see him on the street sometimes.) I agree that Eric won the final challenge, but I wish they had judged more on the season! Pretty sure Josh choked at the final challenge of his other show, too.

I had no real idea for tonight's FJ, but Ben Franklin was the only response I could think of that would be easy enough for what they've been doing in this tournament, if that makes sense.

In retrospect, it seems really awful to have the designers work on their pieces for months and then at the last minute cast models of all different shapes and sizes! Even if they knew that and made some size 0, some size 4, some size 8, there's just the potential for needing so much fitting! As Garo learned to his detriment. In the real world, if they want to promote diverse sized models, presumably a designer could cast their models well in advance and make the clothes to fit them, rather than making them all clotheshanger size.

EJ is a fucking weirdo, and I love it! He looks so straight-laced, and serious when he plays, and then.... the intro faces! Oh, I loled. But I usually like the people who are a little much.

I realize there were leaked clips and whatever, but I think it was the Washington Post reported this morning via a station that plays Jeopardy at 9:30am. So it's not like it was all nefarious, in a world where news can get around the country instantly. Anyway, back to the regular game!

I didn't know Shakespeare's dates, but now I'll remember, because it's also my mom's birthday! (I assume not the same mom, as I am an only child :)) Same on all counts. I think it's fun that James makes people want to have conversations about Jeopardy! All the secret fans come out -- even my 22-year-old cousin said to me yesterday that he's looking forward to the Ken/Brad/James faceoff that is surely coming.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought Yvie's dad can Get It. So happy for Yvie! And also I wonder how she was doing physically that day -- did she wear heels at all? (I only noticed the boots in the first lip sync and the floor-length gown in the second, and started wondering.) I'm also thrilled for Nina, who just seems like such a good egg. I really wish they had IDed all those people!
