  1. I am so sick of Ryan! Sheesh.
  2. Oh god, I had a boss who named every file with the date. I CHANGED HIS LIFE when I suggested you could get something about the topic in there, even if it was just SUBJ0718. My only problem with Wes was that both Johnny and Alex mispronounced the name of his hometown and he didn't correct them.
  3. Did everyone know that Laganja is on So You Think You Can Dance???
  4. Which they showed tonight! I actually thought having them judge brought it back a little to the old days of actually testing them on the skills they would need to be on Food Network -- nowadays, it's most likely they would be a judge. And having them judge themselves instead of other contestants cut down on gamesmanship.
  5. I don't think he was downvoted, just not voted for at all.
  6. I'm usually too far behind to bother posting over here, but HOW did Faisal not think "Hamazon" was going to be related to ACTUAL HAM???? What a dope.
  7. When I tried out, pre-online days, the way I remember it, as soon as they told you you passed the test, you had to write down three "interesting things." I don't know about other people, but I wasn't expecting to pass! Also had nothing interesting to talk about, as I was just out of college.
  8. I'm mad because I would have said Augusta National and been wrong. Yay Scott!!
  9. FWIW, Rochambeau was yet another answer where knowing Hamilton would have helped. And I was randomly thinking of states, didn't get to New Jersey, and said Maine, too! No good reason why.
  10. Off-topic of the off-topic, but for what it's worth, generally people who use they/them pronouns would say that they aren't a boy or a girl. Gender fluid and nonbinary are two of the common terms.
  11. @saber5055, I literally just typed that phrase in a post on the main thread. That probably should have been over here anyway.
  12. I know I'm a day late and a dollar short, but I want to get in on the Kit Carson Before Your Time All-Star Jeopardy Orchestra featuring the Good For You Rhythm Section and the Women Authors Singers!! I can sort of play trombone (aka sackbutt)!
  13. And then he was my friend's roommate in New York like 15 years ago, not that long after the Bachelor, but definitely after.
  14. So sad about Kate Spade, and also creepy re: Jeopardy curse.
  15. Yeah, same. Buzzy still makes me laugh. He's a douche, but it's really like he's playing a douche, and knows it.
  16. Slate recently re-released this podcast interview with Miz Cracker from last year, and it's fascinating. Especially now, because I have a frame of reference I wouldn't have had when she refers to Monet X. Change, Aquaria, etc. http://www.slate.com/articles/podcasts/working/2017/11/how_does_drag_queen_miz_cracker_work.html
  17. Yeah, Darnell is a real find, not to sound too cynical about it -- he's got a great look, apparently great food, and is great TV! Also I loved his mom.
  18. Frankie Grande being on this week seems like enough of an excuse for me to tell @Victim Noises how much I laugh at your user name/picture every single time!! Yeah, I'm glad we've seen enough stellar performances from Kameron, because she was clearly not cast for her workroom personality! The meta conversations between the YouTube people and the queens were fascinating, I thought -- Cracker all in her head working stuff out, Kameron off to the side where she can focus and not clown around.
  19. I love it when my made-up joke answer is the right answer -- I would totally have written "plumbago" on a lark.
  20. Studying up on Hamilton (the show and the guy) would have to be a really efficient thing to study for Jeopardy at this point -- at least one of the writers is clearly obsessed, because it still comes up all the time.
  21. Wikipedia suggests that indefinite pronouns are the ones I don't think of as pronouns: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indefinite_pronoun For what that's worth.
  22. When she was a baby, her family went to Europe (right?), ended up in a restaurant with the Rolling Stones, but she was crying so much, the Stones left and talked shit about her to her parents on their way out.
  23. Those were all amazing.
  24. To be fair, she said Mount Auburn Cemetery, which is gorgeous. And she didn't even mention all the famous people! https://mountauburn.org/
