  1. Paedon stated in an interview that the first vaccination he ever received was when he joined the military. When they first started filming they had to stop for a chunk of time because the entire household had the measles. Meri picked sides the day of the "Knife in the Kidney" performance. She sat there with her jaw clenched and her face frozen in RBF. When Robyn walked off she shot out of her chair and didn't look or speak to either Janelle or Christine but ran to console Robyn.
  2. My household has learned this recently. We are now on Starlink and had the cord go bad that attached the dish on the roof to the router. It also damaged the plug of the router so both had to be replaced...it took 10 days for the cord to arrive and a full 3 weeks for the new router. We suspect an electrical surge damaged them. I went super conservative with data on my phone and I made it to the roll over date in our plan (about 18 days from when we lost the router. But both my son and husband blew through their data in days. I pulled out my old DVD player for my evening tv time and dinners became more leisurely since no one was running off to glue themselves back to the internet. It is amazing just how much of our lives are attached to those world wide webs.
  3. There were two moments that I can remember in the last season or two. One was filmed at Robyn's house on Christmas. Ari was (I think) asking who gave her the gift she opened and she pointed and said "her or her" and someone answered with the girls name. Another was with Solomon. They were gathering in Christine's AZ house backyard and when some of the older kids walked by Sol, Kody said "hey! It's Garrison and Gabe and Savannah!" (not sure if those were the exact names or not) but it made it look like Kody was saying the names so that Solomon would know.
  4. Just think of the coin that some/all of the adult kids could make if they auctioned off the screenshots of that chat...
  5. What confuses me the most about the newest tidbit they decided to release about the property... Way back when they said that they bought the two big pieces, then decided on the other two skinny parcels. So the two largest were paid for and the two small were financed. We now know some details about the financing with the original land owner holding the note and a ticking clock on paying them off. But Janelle didn't specify if the other two parcels are part of the note....like an extra collateral or something. So if they don't (yes, I know that they actually did...) pay off the note...was it possible that the other properties could be lost as well? What a bloody mess. Leave it to Kody Brown to finagle up some back door financing... but WHO signs that kind of note and doesn't make it a full priority to pay the damn thing off ?
  6. We now know that Mykelti went to live with Robyn to "help" with the kids even before Kody and Robyn were married (the first time) putting her in the 12/13 age. She always seemed like the child who acted out just to get some kind of attention and wasn't quite the older group and not quite the younger group. Most likely at a very impressionable age Robyn gave her individual attention and actually listened to her, something she still doesn't seem to get from her family.
  7. The seller accepted Kody's offer with the stipulation that Kody pull the utilities. He immediately said yes, and it was apparent that he didn't know what that meant. The electric company isn't going to install the lines until a building permit is issued. A building permit isn't issued until all the site planning is done and approved by the local governing body.
  8. This was one thing that made me the craziest through his whole nightmare. Not once did any wife or producer or tell all person ask Kody what the family members that HAD to work outside of duck and cover in their homes was actually supposed to do. He rages about how none of them would listen to him. Piecing it together through Christine and Janelle it was pretty simple. He thought each and every one of them should sit in the homes, order everything to be delivered, wear a hazmat suit onto the porch to collect with a sanitizing machine blowing bleach everywhere and twiddle their thumbs until the one time a month he popped over unannounced to "check in" before bouncing right out again. All of us have lived through these Covid times the best we could do with the needs of ourselves and our families. Although it is a little bit amazing how this slow moving show has managed to milk September 2019 to October/November 2021 into 4 seasons of Kody Brown's shenanigans.
  9. I agree with this! I saw it in my own family of a single mother and two children, but I also see a different version in my husband's family. He is the oldest of 4 and each sibling has very different parents within the family. All the differences between the OG3 and Kody through the years would be a fascinating look into family dynamics. As for Mykelti, she has learned from her close bond with Robyn exactly how to win Kody's favor. However I suspect Kody's "favor" is nothing more than lack of disdain. Mykelti is one of the children with strong personality traits from both parents, so she must remind Kody of Christine and that is probably one of the main reasons he had such a low tolerance for Christine's kids.
  10. This whole debacle really did showcase that Meri really wasn't involved much with the whole family at that time. Meri truly was the only adult in that family that respected the original plan and it was Christine and Robyn that pushed themselves into the "general admission seating" (🤣 )...even admitting it on camera. Another addition is when they were all in the "therapy" scenes with Nancy and there is a moment when Robyn (thinks) she is consoling Meri...but actually making it all worse. She says that it was Maddie who at some point asked "where is Meri" but no one moved forward to see if THEY could invite Meri at that moment. There is a quick flash where Robyn glances off the camera in the direction where Christine is sitting and you get the feeling that Robyn and Christine worked out their stories ahead of time. The whole "ohhh, it wasn't MY birth to overstep Maddie's' boundaries..." When they themselves overstepped and backed over them multiple times. However...we never heard a word from Maddie. The crew at least walked us through the timeline with time stamps on the screen...but radio silence from Maddie. I have no idea about the dog food, but the general clutter and untidiness/uncleanliness has been noted a lot. They had DAYS to clean and prep things after Maddie showed the first signs and didn't do much of anything but find the biggest tupperware bowl available for floating in the tub for potential vomiting...
  11. That older conversation between Meri and Christine, when Meri was laid up in bed with her knee injury, is talked about a lot. In my opinion Meri was being quite honest with her advise. Kody hates emotions being piled on him. He has accused Meri of "burdening" him with her emotions and when Meri told Christine to keep it light with Kody, don't weigh him down with your emotions and "you can only change you, you can't change him" (paraphrasing the quote) she was spot on with how to deal with Kody. Sadly that makes a fake relationship and Christine was pissy because she wants a REAL relationship, even though she is sharing Kody with others. Aways later Meri told Christine she was sorry for her advise, but I think she really did get it right with Kody. The way to please Kody is to fake it when he is there. Which is a great reason to argue against polygamy. As for the "Look and the Mountain" scene...it was really two fold. Meri telling Christine to think of the angels singing and look at the mountain, to basically remind yourself why everyone packed up and got the hell out of Dodge and suck it up (again) for the whole family. Individuals don't seem to count in the Brown Family...beyond Kody and anyone that Kody shows favor to. But...Meri kept pushing that since Christine is in pain...she needs to not make any decisions...to look at the mountain and remember why they are (supposed to be) there. In my opinion...Meri really delivered it poorly, but she was trying to tell Christine to not make any decisions about leaving while she was hurting so much (the in crisis part), which is the parallel I made with Yeah No's post.
  12. I will admit that I laughed out loud when I read this. This is the exact point that Meri was trying to make with Christine during the now infamous "Just Look at the Mountain" moment.
  13. As someone who comes from a family of toxic passive aggressive game players, I would not be in the least surprised if Robyn has been telling her children that all the Browns want nothing to do with them. If she brings the kids with her, the others might be excited to see them and go against the narrative that she has been building.
  14. Of course Kody was late. He no longer has his trained valet (Christine) to prepare a wardrobe of clothes, perfectly pressed to his liking, and carrying it all around for him to choose from at the last minute. He now has to either train Robyn, or pre think and pre plan for such things.
  15. Instagram now has a subscription service, kinda like if you join a content creator's Patreon. You pay $$ for exclusive "subscription only" content so you can be "in the club". You set up what perks you put out to make people like it is worth their money. Christine probably saw how well Gwen was doing and like Mykelti did with her own Patreon...Christine jumped on another cash flow.
  16. Someone on reddit zoomed in and posted that the tattoo was a common symbol standing for "New Beginnings", so my bet is on it being a new tattoo and a dress chosen to showcase it.
  17. I know this has been a theory floating around on Reddit for awhile. Watching the show, Kody is obviously puppy panting enamoured by Robyn, but in the honeymoon episode he looks at her with lust. I have always thought that they did keep the sexual relationship until after the spiritual marriage.

    Mykelti

My armchair take on Mykelti... Christine once said that she was disturbed by how Mykelti seemed like a different person around Tony. Instead of loud and obnoxious, she was as you described, meek and quiet. At the time Mykelti told Christine that she felt "safe" with Tony. That seemed to appease her. Just from watching the show, Mykelti didn't seem to fit in with the older kids, but not with the younger as well. They described her as scatty, flighty and immature...but those same things are prevalent in Kody. Her acting out was most likely the classic child not having their needs met and accepting negative attention as the only attention they could get. She got to watch how the whole family screamed and jumped for joy when Maddie announced that she had a fiance vs just a boyfriend and that Christine jumped and screamed the loudest as well as Kody crying with the joy of how beautiful Maddie was in a strapless wedding dress...vs how he behaved the entire time Mykelti was doing the wedding planning AND how indifferent he was on her wedding day...then in the talking head saying he wanted her strapless dress to "be more modest". She got to see Janelle get pissy about Mykelti trying to elbow in on Maddies experience and said that Mykelti is SO close in age to Maddie...but SOO immature. Hopefully Tony fulfills her needs where her family failed. Tony does have a lot of more quiet Kody-like traits. A young girl, wanting attention and respect from her father...never gets it and finds a guy LIKE her father who only has eyes for her (and a TLC paycheck). However Tony seems to take her seriously and accept her as she is, if she is happy and content with him great, hopefully he treats her and the kids well behind the cameras...but I'm still skeeved out that he seems to prefer the "get rich with no actual work" mentality. yet Mykelti is pushing the MLMs. Hopefully he is really hands on with the littles...as well as helping with the MLM stuff behind the scenes.
  19. I've watched the first two episodes. It is more of an expose of stories from family and friends about the behind the "happy family" that was portrayed on their show. Also a lot more info on the guy who was the developer and head of their cult. However, anyone who may be triggered by open discussion of child abuse and sexual assault may want to definitely skip it. Also I think that everyone watching/following the Browns for the last 13 years would love to have a series just like this, with close family and ex-church members discussing Kody and being open about specifics.
  20. I have in my head that at some time Kody mentioned having a 10 month courtship with Robyn. I don't think they have ever been fully specific if that includes the 5 minutes of meeting her to proposing to begin the courtship, or if meeting...dancing...eyeing each other up across the room at church etc counted in that 10 months. So the Kody and Robyn meet could have started in the summer (ish) of 2009. Their original spiritual wedding was May 2010. Filming began at some point in 2009. Meri's hair was longer in only a few scenes and (if memory serves) none of the couch interviews. They filmed celebrating Robyn's birthday (October) and in that scene, Meri had longer hair. I believe there was a slight mention that it was filming that made the courtship go on because they wanted the planning etc to be filmed, but I don't think they came right out and stated that. I have always thought that Meri's miscarriage was possibly the reason that they said their relationship had been rocky "before Robyn". Sadly even after Christine had a miscarriage and mentioned also had life threatening hemorrhaging, Kody still pressured Aspyn to pressure Christine to try again, looking at the dates he probably did it quickly after the miscarriage. He tried to convince the world that it was all up to the women, yet he also admitted to pressuring Janelle for another after she had Gabe.
  21. Well, if the chip on his shoulder fits then the umbilical cord that attaches Kody to Robyn could be used as a lifeline.
  22. When I see these photos that they post, what pops into my mind is how Kody is missing out on a really great family because he can't get his head out of his ass.
