  1. That is KODY'S body you are talking about ! And you are tossing him around like a rag doll. He has bodily autonomy don't ya know. Also yes. That makes WAY too much sense...
  2. To quote Mel Brooks... "Merchandising Merchandising Merchandising" It's all in the marketing schemes. Sister Wives the flame thrower!! The kids love that one...
  3. Bringing a quote from the Live chat from @Ms.Lulu and adding on... Also. With no other wives left, Robyn no longer can be a victim of those horrid women and their offspring, so Kody won't be able to be her knight in shining armor. As for my measly input... They are out of carrots, they are out of sticks. They have no more cute kids, big parties, RV trips and the joy of raw sewage on Kody's shoes and leather coat. These people are hanging on by a thread and now just rehashing ancient history to keep the drama mill going. Last week was way too much of Kody bitching and moaning. This week is Robyn trying her best to get tears to flow while taking her turn to bitch and moan. I hope she invested in hand tied pearls because I'm sure she has broken many a pearl necklace by overclutching. However. We did learn that Kody has been a cruel bastard from the beginning and more than likely his reluctance and "thousand yard stare" when marrying Christine was because he really brought her in to stick it to Meri.
  4. I can easily picture Kody feeling like he "deserves nice things" because he is an "entrepreneur" and "teevee" star. I just don't see him buying these massive paintings as cheap printed posters and then having those very expensive frames. I can also see him being talked into what an investment it is to own these fancy prints and so he buys more. Someone on Reddit commented that Kody tweeted years ago about this artist. I recently bought a lovely little original watercolor and wanted a nice frame and was blown away at the cost of a proper frame, even a small one. Those frames are very expensive. Unlike the poorly framed "sexy photo" from Robyn's bedroom...that frame screams Hobby Lobby.
  5. My personal opinion about the art is that Kody picked it out. Cause everyone knows if you have surreal paintings hanging on your wall it is because you are a "deep thinker" and so very very intelligent.
  6. I think we might be able to come to a general consensus that Mykelti is on a teeter totter and playing both sides of the coin. Christine is feeding her a list of things she isn't allowed to say, so Mykelti is coy and elusive about a,b,c and then Robyn and Kody are obviously giving her their own version of what not to say so Mykelti is then elusive about x,y,z. Everything in the middle gets convoluted and muddled. Mykelti is there for Mykelti. She saw Gwen pulling in the $$ and jumped on the band wagon to fill her own coffers. She wants to be relevant instead of just living her life away from the "family business" like many of her other siblings.
  7. So very true. The "Precious Moments Emporium" of my childhood was my aunts house. It was one of those perfect houses with clean room spotlessness. You were scared to touch anything or walk too hard on the bouncy shag rug. I was always instructed to sit on the floor because my "boney butt" left the couch cushions with lumps. I have never understood what that was supposed to even mean. Savannah was on camera with a pretty even face, but that had to burn. I did read over on Reddit, where people have posted things Myketi is saying on her Patreon that Savannah wasn't invited. You just shake your head at the absolute cruelty of that man.
  8. This one is a bit of a mystery. I have read both sides here and there. That Dayton was in Wyoming or was with his bio-Dad. So me being me I looked up the episode where he has his eye surgery and they show the bedside photo of Robyn posed holding his hand... Robyn says "he was out of town visiting friends", so I'm sure that is how the assumption became that he was with his bio-Dad. Kody didn't flinch or show any signs of guilt that he was there when Dayton had the accident. I doubt it will ever be clear one way or the other. Robyn is so reluctant to allow him to go anywhere on his own (even now it seems) let alone at that age (about 10 years ago-ish) allowing him to go on a trip without her.
  9. Well it is certainly NOT because he carries a grudge...
  10. I honestly have little to add about this episode. It's unbelievably depressing. Here it is...Christmas and it's just...depressing. And for me at least just too close to home. Christmas wasn't easy when I was young and my family imploded at Christmas when I was a pre-teen. I know how it is as a kid when some adults are bickering and make all the other adults "weird" and you just have to be in this great big bubble of uncomfortable... but they expect the kids to still be all excited about Christmas. 🎄 I was so happy as an adult to be a professional baker. Guaranteed too busy to be bothered with the drama at the Holidays. Although...there is this tiny pettiness in me. If I was Christine I would have dropped off a basket for Kody filled with just the tops of her homemade rolls...cause that might be what he misses the most about her on Christmas. But...that wouldn't be great to do with the kids.
  11. I can agree with Janelle about the peaceful. When you have arguments that can not be resolved within the family, the Holidays become a raging nightmare. My family (husband and kids) slowly distanced ourselves from family holiday gatherings and finally cut all cords and we finally did the holidays the way we wanted to. Together, good food and that was that. We are all the better for it. I feel the most for the kids. Since they are dividing and some moved a good distance away they don't at least have the OG 12 (no idea of Leon's stance with them all) that forms the bulk of the family. Except for plenty of planning (and the fracture with Paedon/Gwendolyn) if Janelle and Christine got a mega house and held one big party it would darn near be the same old Brown Holiday.
  12. I also suspect this as well. Christine is very insecure. Reading her parts in the book where she was so angry that Kody and Meri were courting a younger girl and how she wasn't even in their radar at that time but she had inserted herself even before Janelle was added to the family. She has the tendency to say something that is really sharp...but then ha ha ha, add a sarcastic "...just sayin'" or a snide joke comment after. Everyone is celebrating Christine because she was the first to officially leave, but in reality every one of them is just a flawed person like everyone else...they are just on display for public conversation.
  13. Someone on Reddit commented that they are surrealism paintings by Vladimir Kush and that there is a gallery selling them in Vegas. Also that they are Giclée prints, which is a high resolution archival quality print that sells at a high price. They may or may not be signed prints and if professionally framed that would increase the price. Art is so subjective...it's a to each their own. My husband's father does beautiful paintings and then went on a surrealism kick. He has won awards, and I can appreciate the paintings...but I just don't "get" them.
  14. I think part of Kody's rage was that Christine played him. He didn't want anything to do with her. He barely kept up with 'her' children, but Christine was getting her ducks in a row. She got Ysabel's surgery done and Ysabel recovered and graduated from high school with a college plan before finalizing the relationship with Kody. He couldn't do anything about the equity in the house because that was dealt with prior so that he could buy Robyn's house. And Christine already had a reasonable "trade" for the value in Coyote Pass since it's worth on paper was very close to her house equity. She jumped when the market was good and took "his" money with her. His old control tactics which had always worked with Christine didn't work once she was officially done with him. Cue Kody Brown toddler fits.
  15. His undivided attention ? Her voice and opinion given respect ?
  16. There were two separate mortgage discussions during the process. The original houses/lots that they looked at, when discussing wanting houses right next to each other (Robyn at some point mentioned a cul de sac). It was the same little gated community but the opposite end. Two houses were already up on two lots and the other two lots in the cul de sac were empty. For them to secure all four they had to move very fast and the woman who was the mortgage broker told them that they did not have time for the pre qualify process for conventional mortgages. She then told them that yes, they could get the financing but it would be 40% up front for each parcel/house. That shut them down right quick. Not long after they switched sides of the community and looked at the opposite side, also a cul de sac with 4 empty parcels ready to build. That is when Mona told them they could take the time to qualify for conventional mortgages (which they did) and the whole "puttin' down earnest money" discussions began. Then the Robyn credit story leading to all of them managing to qualify. In the process to get the builder going they needed the pre-qualify letters and cash money down to start everything, but a short window to actually then get the mortgages approved to close on the houses. If that didn't happen the builder could take the house and sell it to someone else and they would lose their money that they put down.
  17. And yet when Kody was sittin' there with Meri on their sad 30th anniversary bitch session picnic he flat out said that "if a wife is unhappy...then maybe she should leave and find happiness". Contradiction for sure.
  18. My mother and her older sister are separated by 3 years. After lots of thoughts about my childhood and all the family issues I came to the conclusion that my aunt hated my mother because she was born and they were at odds (and pulled everyone into their bickering) for their entire lives. Some people hold on to the grudges into their next life I think.
  19. I've spent the majority of my life in kitchens... That just looks weird. I could never look at that while I am cooking. I love subway tile...but not with contrasting/dark grout.
  20. That is a lot of work! Good for you for helping them! About 6 weeks ago we were having dinner on the patio when we heard meowing. My daughter was visiting and she disappeared and came back with a lovely little grey kitten. He leap from her arms and starting licking all of our empty plates. He was such a darling little thing. My daughter has wanted a cat for such a long time and she is now set up that she can afford all the expenses that pets bring. She couldn't take him home with her so we fostered him until this past weekend (yes...we also fell in love with him). When she visits she now flies in...so we both drove half way-ish and he is now settling into her home. Sadly living in the country means we have dealt with what I call "country dumps". Horrid people who drive their pets to the country and just dump them there. Several of our pets over the years have been dumped rescues and we have homed some and sometimes had to take them to the shelter to find homes.
  21. I would be interested in knowing this as well. I have a tidbit of a memory that it was mentioned that he "belongs" to their church but is only married to Meri's sister. I wonder how long the second was with him and whether the one that left is Meri's sister or the "other". However there is a stark difference between the Nathan we saw officiate Aspyn's wedding, the Nathan we saw on the couch while Kody mansplained hating wimens and that last tidbit of a preview to next week scene of Nathan having a talking head. Maybe a meme about "quiet quitting" hasn't popped up on Robyn's Pintrest yet.
  22. Christine has had a long time to prepare mentally and she mentioned that it was Janelle way back in Vegas that told her she can't leave without being financially independent. Seeing the interactions between Christine/Kody and Janelle/Kody it is really clear that Christine has put in work behind the cameras to prepare for it all. From the beginning Janelle has even said that she is non-confrontational. She uses the term "being logical" to try to explain the fact that she has to think things through slowly, and if you are not a fast thinker...you don't really argue effectively or calmly. Janelle only really made similar statements to what Kody was saying. She hesitated and it seemed like "manipulating" popped into her head when she then told him that she thought he was being manipulating. That really changed the gears as he switched to cold calm before exploding. Seeing Christine not take the bait that Kody threw at her shows the difference in Janelle not really being able to think in the moment to form her thoughts into any kind of counterargument.
  23. Meri has been around and through it all for 33 bloomin' years. I wouldn't be surprised if the family norm for a long long time was all the issues are stuffed aside for the sake of the Holidays. Her wanting to invite everyone so they could all just get together for the sake of the family was more of keeping the family tradition...but Robyn is just so scared of any remote possibility that the whole thing isn't her version of "perfect". My husband and I watched the episode this morning and we have been adding "gaslighting" into every sentence we can today. We talked about dinner ideas and he turned and pointed at me..."You are GASLIGHTING me! We haven't even had LUNCH and you are bringing up DINNER!!" ...we have an odd and twisted sense of humor...
  24. I am pretty sure it was Brianna who brought home the Covids. Robyn did the self film after Ari's big birthday get together and said the nanny and her husband tested positive. That puts the timeline in January-ish. Kody had Covid near Gabe and Gwendolyn's birthday, so October. Kody said how Brianna had symptoms and everyone else was feeling poorly, but Aurora never got sick. He made it seem like Brianna picked it up and brought it home, but he never raged about her being in school and not following any "protuculls" etc. If he would have been able to trace Janelle's boys to Robyn's household getting sick that would have been it's own storyline for a minimum of one or two episodes. ETA: re: I guess she's not as smart as we thought. I think it shows just how trusting Janelle was to the family unit as a whole. She has worked for this entire time for the good of the family and trusted her role within that unit. As it crumbles away she may be realizing her role was to provide and contribute and she has stayed true while others are making their piles and yelling MINE! Robyn's idea of "ugly" is anything other that all attendees having big fake "Stepford Wives" style smiles glued on their faces being one big happy Christmas fake family.
  25. Bringing a quote from Ms.Lulu from the Live chat thread... I get a feeling that Kody's pettiness with his remarks about the tree stem from his "I deserve..." ego. He is Kody Brown. He has(d) Four Wives. He is a TeeVee Star. He only deserves The Best. His delicate ego is propped up by things that make him special and above others. So Janelle choosing a very small (and from outside sources...dumpy) apartment instead of a proper house worthy of His Greatness isn't her frugality for the sake of the family, but a full on thumbing her nose to his ego. How dare she choose (for herself) a tiny apartment with no room for his bedside reading lamp and no room for his freezer. He won't feel like a King in that place and the humble (and practical) Christmas Tree was just a knife in his other kidney.
