  1. So, here's the thing I'm bitter about. Has no one on the writing staff heard of an adverb? Just this episode I can name, "Nothing worthwhile ever comes easy", and "Things are gonna end bad," off the top off my head. It's easily and badly, come on! Plus, I'm pretty sure Laurel commited the same sin in the van with Dig. Was the school the Queens and she went to just not that good?
  2. People have said that Oliver left Dig and Felicity each with a million $ before he headed for Lian Yu after S1. It was in the comics if I remember correctly. Oh, yes, this would be even better. Lyla is such an asset that it would be crazy if people weren't knocking on her door in droves to have her.
  3. There was a bit where Felicity was at the computers and Thea was behind her with a hand on the chair. I thought that was a nice choice by Willa or the director. It showed some awareness that the characters should be brought closer together.I just thought the corpse looked ridiculously bad.
  4. I don't know. But on the other hand Double Down IS asking Felicity and Curtis about Green Arrow in one of the promos. Though maybe that's after he's followed them into the lair. I like the going after the pillar of the community thing.
  5. Yeah, but that's always been the thing about Amanda. Her actions just regularly don't make sense for her own agenda. It's not a new development. She's just a piss poor strategist. Now I'm wondering if she had been drugging Lyla with something since it doesn't appear she has ever tried to stage a coup.
  6. What Wedding Theory? And the red/blue thing is something about Oliver and Ray, right? I saw something on Tumblr about that. Well, he has been keeping that a secret for a really long time for no reason and effectively undermining his own cause there, plus currently he's not giving the team all the information he has about the shit soup they're all in. It's getting up there is what I'm saying. I don't mind Amanda not caring about Oliver's life. It doesn't make her a nice person but I think it makes sense for the character. What does not is that she seems to be doing her best to make it as impossible for him to do the mission she has sent him on. And which he still doesn't know what it's about. Like, give him some information, for fuck's sake. Not to benefit him but your own agenda. I have no idea how she's managed to keep her position for years. Yes, be a psycho, that's fine. But if you're supposed to be a successful one, be a smart psycho.
  7. To Laurel asking whether he and Dig would be fine without her and Thea. Oliver: yeah, we'll be fine as long as we don't kill each other first. I'm kidding, by the way. We'll be fine. The clarification is the best. Feels like sarcasm sign for Sheldon and reminds me of Felicity's, "it's almost impossible to tell when Oliver is joking".
  8. And that's really cute coming from Ra's Let's Torch This Place Al Guhl.
  9. Laurel's just not a thinker. And I find that funny, considering she was supposed to be the brainiac when they were younger, yet it's Oliver and Sara that think (or used to) think things through. I find Darhk pretty analytical, like he looks at the costs and benefits, and here in his opinion the costs outweighed the benefits. He's sort of like the CEO of Evil Inc. here. Who is Zolo or Solo that Lonnie has worked for? Felicity made an ick face when she mentioned him and then Darhk mentioned him later. I'm guessing someone from the comics.
  10. Yeah, completely fake smile. I love it.
  11. And now let's never speak of it again. Man, I cannot believe how well they're writing Oliver and Felicity. There's a wonderful sense of reciprocity. I know some posters felt like Oliver was staying in Starling for Felicity this week but now we have her doubting this decision and him speaking in favor of it. It's like they take turns at the wheel of Cheerleading Express. While remaining playful and hot, like in the "you look nice" scene. Nice strutting there. Oh, and Oliver's hello at the end of the episode. You effing sap, you. But man, him having to explain he was joking about him and Diggle killing each other to Thea and Laurel (because his joking skills are still a little rusty) is gold.
  12. Aw, Felicity takes them out for drinks. Too bad the guys aren't sipping margaritas as well. As much as Dig was shipping Olicity, she was shipping the bromance just as hard.
  13. The only thing I can think he loves is his freaky ritualistic commode. The team should really just steal that once they find out about it. I imagine he'd be completely vulnerable without it.
  14. I can't even bring myself to be mad at Laurel. She's just being herself, constantly and unwavering maddening. I'll just say two things on the matter. 1) Nice to invite her Dad along for the ride. Not like he'd be at all invested in his dead kid. 2) This is why Laurel should not have a say in the team. If she must, let her be the muscle, but she is no tactician and never has been. Does the island look more vibrant than it did in the first two seasons? Maybe I'm imagining things, but it definitely seemed like the colors were popping a lot more. And wow, who gave Waller a job? She's really horrible at it. While I have no doubt she'll be supportive, I'm thinking part of the initial reaction was the feeling that he was at least somewhat safer during the day when he was trying out new recipes and stuff. I see some people are doubtful about Oliver being elected mayor. Well, he'll be running unopposed, so it's enough if he casts the only vote for himself. And I have to reiterate what I said a while back. This decision is incredibly brave on his part, not only because he's putting himself in even more of potential harm's way but because he's laying himself bare. Oliver Queen will no longer be a mask like he used in the first two seasons, but he'll openly declare his feelings for the city. It's reckless in a way but I also love it. I missed this completely. Gasp. Oh my God, Dig! Shape up. Although I've got to say this episode did not cast a good shade on him. We have him not only keeping things from Oliver and Felicity now that he's definitely pissed at Oliver and more than likely at least somewhat resentful of Felicity, but more than a year prior to that! What is up with that? Like, wouldn't it have made sense to have gone to Felicity about finding information? I get a small inkling that's a thing Felicity is passably good at. And his statement that it was a family thing just left a bad taste in my mouth. You know, given that he called Oliver his brother. Dig, you're making it really hard on me to be understanding of your hurt feelings when it turns out you've been pulling similar shit for a while. But hey, I'm glad you have a new confidant in Laurel who reciprocated and included you in her plans. Particularly as he and Thea were saving a person they know and have spoken to within the last 24 hours. Now let's have him scale a building in the next episode and I'll be happy as a clam. I'm dying over here. 1. They were keeping an eye out on the station where Jessica Danforth was in protective custody because the team didn't think police could do enough. 2. So, so true. 3. I understand Thea in a way, but on the other hand she left with Malcolm at the end of S2 and lied to Oliver about it. Oliver left with the love of his life to actually get a life and was honest about that.
  15. I'm reading the episode thread and I see theories about the operation on the island being connected with the Bratva. So do you think Anatoly got the idea when he got back to start something up there? There's this effed up place where no sane person would ever go. Let's gather up some slaves and psychos and ship them there.
  16. This is a split second before Nyssa swings her sword at Malcolm's neck and I will not be told otherwise. I just hope this is the push to get them into the new awesome looking lair. Who knows, it's only the first time we see her. She could very well be shanking the guy while holding him up. But as of 4x02 DD doesn't care about Oliver, he cares about Green Arrow, where he lives, who he loves. So going after Felicity now would make sense.
  17. I always read him as being turned on as well. Like, geez, Felicity, you're messing with my plans there. Am I drooling? Oh, I have something in my head where Felicity's training with someone (preferably John) and Oliver walks up and is slightly confused. I could have helped you with that if you wanted. Meaningful looks are exchanged and they both remember how things went down when they attempted that. Oliver knows what he did. ...Ooooor maybe not.
  18. Poor Curtis is sweating like he's been hit with Vertigo. Come sit at my table, Curtis, I think I like you already. Felicity's "Oh, goody," is a thing of beauty. Good thing Felicity and Oliver were alone at the lair. I don't think any of the members wanted to see that mating dance. I, on the other hand, enjoyed it immensely. Oliver and Thea are so cute at breakfast. I have a feeling they're doing this for Moira. Like brunch with Carter Bowen, only without manipulation and shit talking. Damn it, I miss Moira.
  19. Where? I need it. 1. This makes me laugh too much. 2. They really should have done that. Lyla should be involved with the team in some way if she doesn't have a job at this point.
  20. Thanks, I've been missing this piece of information. Either I haven't seen the con or I forgot about it. That one was definitely on their fridge in Ivy Town. There was another one in the same outfits next to it and on the mantle I believe. There's something odd about Felicity's face in that one. Okay, that's Felicity level of adorable. I also like your fanwank.
  21. This is exactly what I thought. Here we have Nu!Oliver who doesn't want to step on anyone's toes by taking lead, but hello, here's Old!Oliver who doesn't tell the team crucial information. And I get that it's because of the flashbacks but couldn't it have been played like him saying, "Yes, here's what I know. I don't know if it will help, but here we go," and cutting away. So the team would know at least something but we the audience wouldn't. She's Laurel, it's her MO. I got tired of thinking about the reasons behind it.
  22. Oh, that's adorable, but I don't perceive it as a fist bump, more like drumming a tiny, invisible drum. Thanks for the scene, theacostov.
  23. Cosign. However, having the part about Oliver and Felicity being a team within the team being actually, wonderfully true smooths my feathers on the matter considerably.
