  1. Does anyone know when this shot of Oliver is from? I only remeber his hair being this short at the end of last season and his leatherwear was different at that point.
  2. Oliver's already started vigilante jonior high as is. They can add driver's ed. I assume Thea's just driving Roy's bike. The photo of Lyla and Sara is the cutest. I don't remember seeing it before.
  3. Yeah, Lyla and Oliver bonding about doing the ugly when necessary definitely points in that direction. I don't think I'll be mad at John if he is unforgiving. I'll be sad if I don't get bromance scenes for too long.
  4. Oh, here's hoping. Nyssa had better have spent the hiatus gathering loyal League members to dump Malcolm's ass out of the magic hot tub. She really was hit hard last season. Loses her beloved, passed over as the heir by an uninterested upstart, forced to marry him with plans to become a brood mare and then has to kiss the ring on the hand of the man responsible for Sara's death. Malcolm still sometimes has some uses to me, mostly from other characters' reactions to him, but I hope Nyssa chops his ring hand off and tosses it back in his face after taking the trinket.
  5. 8. She had very little bonding time with Diggle. That would make anyone sad. BTW, I love your number 6. :)
  6. Well, yeah, that was totally unnecessary on the show she's a regular on. AKA the one where the date happened. Sigh. What were the clues? Veering off topic somewhat, but now I remember finally sussing out that Oliver's life expectancy thing also came from The Flash. I was very confused about people online talking about it, thinking whether it came from the comics or if I had dozed off during an episode and forgot it.
  7. 1. That was always squicky. I was just willing to power through it since I love Diggle. I felt it was crazy to try to pull it off after already having the Queen-Lance triangle. And look, there's one end of it dead. Or "dead". Whatever. 2. I didn't really want to mention it, but what about Oliver pulling a Tony Stark? I'm throwing it out there to counteract it more than anything else, really. I feel like they're already going overboard with crossing people over. Yes, the crossover was great. However, I stumbled upon Laurel's scenes with Cisco on The Flash getting her thingamajig on Youtube the other day. I was stunned, because isn't this something that should have happened on the show Laurel's on? Like, what else did I miss about Arrow characters by not watching The Flash? Especially after Felicity mentioned getting ordained online. Like, how does that not make more sense? Especially seeing as they were supposed to be getting married by a friend of Lyla's so apparently having somebody familar performing the ceremony meant something to them. Maybe the shots of Oliver staring forelornly at Felicity wouldn't have worked that well with her three feet from him and her having to focus on Dig and Lyla insted of trying to sneak looks at him. But. Come. On.
  8. This is true. However, I'm reminded of Peter Stormare, whose performances I usually really enjoy, and I thought he sucked up one side and down the other on both his appearances in Arrow. So I'm treading carefully with my expectations, although I did like what we could glean from the trailer. Seeing as how Donna talked about feeling left out of Felicity and her dad's interests when she was as small as 6 and we know her interest in computers started at a really young age, that's what I expect. Also, I don't feel like either of them painted him as completely evil. As others have mentioned, him being a member of HIVE makes sense. Demian Darkh not so much to me. At least not at this point. Oh, and Thea with her willingness to pull the trigger there to complete the trifecta. In the end, Malcolm would likely have simply evaporated into thin air from all the conflicting feelings of fear, love, arousal and psychotic glee when faced with those three.
  9. Awesome. Musical guest at Oliver's surprise birthday party? LOL
  10. Thanks. Is there anyone else? Because I have a feeling that they were visually more similar to atom1cflea's. Not so many speech bubbles or something.
  11. So, do we think he has Fall Out Boy on as background music during dinner?
  12. The grape shortage and artistic nudes slayed me. Who else did similar photo recaps? I know I stumbled across some a while ago but I can't remember who they were for the life of me.
  13. Why do you say that? What am I missing? I really hope it doesn't happen. Not for nothing, nobody posted the scene where Oliver talks about Tommy yet?
  14. These two doofuses better kiss and make up quickly into the new season. I just love them. The bar "fight" is hilariously bad and therefore pretty convincing looking.
  15. I was on AO3, scrolling through summaries I might find interesting, and noticed a numer of alpha/beta/omega tags. Having no idea what that means but being around long enogh to know to proceed with caution, I googled it. Wow. The world is a strange place.
  16. That was a great scene with performances I honestly loved. However, I don't agree this is a TV thing, not lingering on an actor. I do think it's very much an Arrow thing and a lot (most) of the times, they don't let scenes breathe. There were many times I just wished for a scene to be a beat longer to be able to take things in.
  17. Hasn't she? I mean, I know she did other stuff, but that's basically their MO from the past season. This, right here. As it was, she was snippy while going off quarter-cocked. I mean, I was fine with her boxing when it was presented as stress release and dealing with grief. However, having her think a week of it qualified her to go out into to streets on anything other than a suicide mission was nonsensical. In fact, I feel if the element of a subconscionous death wish or even wanting to feel pain in order to feel anything would have made her storyline more coherent.
  18. I don't even care at this point what the possible game change is. I'm just happy to have Oliver and Barry together because I really enjoy the vibe of their scenes. Throw in Cisco touching things and Oliver will be in full grumpy cat mode. Amuse me, show.
  19. That's really the only one that I think could have benefited the episode in question if it was kept. The other not really. And cutting Laurel's scene was a really, really good choice since "I know you're mad at Oliver for lying to you about Sara" would have been an even harder pill to swallow. I'm really looking forward to seeing Oliver talking about Tommy. Frankly, I'm sort of hoping they wrap with season 5 since closing in on the present day timeline would mean no more annual Tommy popping up in the flashbacks. Like, I'm really chomping at the bits here to see what he'll look like this year (or well, 2010) after the douchy aesthetic when he was turning 25.
  20. Him beating her to death never crossed my mind. I just expect her to be bad since it is supposed to contrasted his relationship with Felicity in some ways. So I'm thinking about fighting for his life, it's him or her. And if I can accpet that he's killed bad guys, I can accept him killing a bad woman. I can't actually remember him killing one before. This is exactly what I was thinking. It fits into his progression and changes the narrative from him feeling guilty about failing to protect women.
  21. Thea celebrated her 18th birthday in season 1.
  22. What if Oliver killed his FB love interest?
  23. I've actually thought about registering when on set photos with Donna in the pink dress came out and this time she made me do it. Frankly, I think Guggenheim expects the audience to be in line with Felicity's expectations, which I imagine having Oliver be exasperated at Donna when she's inappropriate as she (Felicity) gets. However, I see Oliver as being crazy about Donna and simply not giving a crap whether Donna oversteps boundries for several reasons. She obviously loves Felicity. She's a mom and Oliver has lost Moira. Plus, he should be more aware of her and Felicity's similarities than either of them are and seeing a lot of the things he loves about Felicity in Donna. Felicity recognized getting her strength from Donna but that's also where she got her heart. Also, I fully expect Donna to adore Oliver. Felicity's finally got a boyfriend after all. But more than that I feel like Donna was pushing Felicity to get a life. She knew about Cooper as we know she said hello to him in the flashback and I imagine her being very aware about Felicity closing off after the suicide. And here's Oliver who got Felicity to be spontaneous and jump in the car heading for parts unknown and then travelling the world. I'm not sure about Oliver asking for permission, but I can see him sending her postcards. As for the dress, I love it! I actually imagine Donna got it in an atempt to appear sedate and so as to not embarass Felicity and it's so, so far off that mark that I can't help but chortle.
