  1. I really wish they had done the full version of Take Me to Church. I listened to it last night, and it's gorgeous. One of the Warblers has a solo, as does Jane. In fact she harmonizes with Rodrick during the bridge before Kitty joins in. It's a shame that the decided to spend so much time on Sue the villain and cut the songs up so much. Other than that, I really enjoyed the episode. Rachel and Jesse were on fire! I usually mess around on my phone while watching Glee. Their duet made me put it down and give that scene my full attention. I didn't actuallu realize that there were people rooting for Sam and Rachel until I started following the live tweets last night. Even now I refuse to believe they're real people and not trolls. I definitely teared up during the flashbacks. Ive watched faithfully since the very beginning. Though have always loved the show, I will definitely miss it.
  2. I think that season 3 should be no more than 15 episodes. I also think they should follow the model Lost used in its last 3 seasons: air all the episodes without a broadcast interruption. I believe Empire is doing the same thing, and I think that's one of many reasons the ratings are going up. No one wants to miss an episode and risk falling behind. Or give them 12 with an option for 3 more if things go well.
  3. I'm not surprised at all. Honestly, I'm shocked he didn't anounce it sooner. I think that's why I never had the same seething hatred for him that others had. He's a Hollywood executive with fingers in many pies. Of course he's going to come out on top no matter what. That's just show biz. That being said, I'm glad he's gone. I hope that his successor will turn things around and will be able to keep his(or her) ego in check.
  4. My mother and I are both crying. That was way too real. I know most of you will hate this episode, but I can't agree. Thank you, Shonda. Thank you for not sugarcoating it, and for telling the truth.
  5. I would love to hang out with her and shoot the breeze one day. Apparently we have mutual friends on Facebook, but sending a request is a level of stalker that I don't even want to attempt.
  6. Found this tweet from Nichole Beharie from February 22: "Lots of mistakes made in the last few days, I need to slow it down. #consciouness" I hope that whatever drama that is happening with the show will cool down by season 3. Well, that's if we get a season 3. I still want it, and I want everyone happy to be there!
  7. I'm actually pleasently surprised to see that they're covering Take Me to Church and Chandelier. I'd love to see Heather dance to Chandelier, though I highly doubt it will happen.
  8. Touchè, though I think I like her costume because I'm a former goth kid.
  9. I can understand people being drawn to her because she was a pretty redhead in a awesome costume. But that's all she was. She wasn't strong, she wasn't brilliant, and she wasn't a particularly good witch. Then again, I think that the first mistake the show made was taking her out of purgatory so early. She was semi tolerable in those brief scenes during season.
  10. I was fanning myself. I'm surprised there wasn't smoke coming out of that carriage, cause that was incredibly hot.
  11. What an amazingly bonkers, off the wall episode! Who wrote it, and where were they all season? My adrenaline is pumping like crazy right now. I honestly did not think they would actually kill Katrina. I truly thought they'd find some way to keep her around. #sleepyholla is going crazy over them going through with it. On that note, I think I'm going to avoid Twitter for the rest of the night. I don't think I can handle the rapid Katrina/Ichtrina fans.
  12. Real aka Ahmad Givens from VH1's Real Chance of Love passed away today at 33. He was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer in 2013, and things took a turn despite him responding well to chemotherapy initially. Real Chance of Love was one of my guilty pleasures, and it saddens me that cancer took him, especially at such a young age. http://touch.madamenoire.com/all/513331#1
  13. An Ichtrina obsessed fan created it. im not sure what version of the show this person is watching, but it's not one based in our world. I follow Orlando and highly recommend looking up #sleepyholla. Hilarious stuff!
  14. I made the stupid choice to follow the Ichabod Crane page without reading any tweets. Bad Idea Bears! It took 5 tweets before I decided I didn't need that mess clogging up my feed.
  15. I agree with you, and want to point out a phrase that has been used incorrectly: Manpain. Now, I'm a card carrying feminist and I think that term has a time and place. For example, when a dude tries to derail a conversation about women's issues with "what about the men!?!". I think it's kinda cruel to use to describe the issues Crane has with being a man out of his own time. I think its perfectly reasonable for a person who woke up 200+ years in the future and had to claw his way out of his grave only to find out everyone he knew and loved is dead to be a bit moody.
  16. I agree. This reminds me of how much people hated Tara on True Blood. She wasn't a perfect character and I can understand why she rubbed people the wrong way. It just seemed like some fans took it to another level, and the hate had an ugly racial undercurrent. Yet I'm sure those same people would say that they couldn't possible be racist. Most of them would cite how much they loved Lafayette as an example. Mercedes on Glee was treated similarly. There was lots of coded language used about why she wasn't as talented as Rachel, how she didn't deserve any solos. She was too fat and too lazy. How it wasn't realistic for Sam, a handsome white guy, to be head over heals in love with her. Again, the character isn't perfect but some people take the hate to another level.
  17. Honestly, I'd love to see a plot like that, though I don't think these show runners could tell it without screwing up. I feel like the past is romanticized in many time travel stories. Time traveler goes back in time, wacky Hijinks happen, it's all fun and games. Doctor Who and Torchwood are the only shows that I can think of that acknowledged time travel to certain time periods would not be good for POC. I've only watched Human Nature/The Family of Blood once because of how Martha is treated. Likewise, Tosh's freak out about being a Japanese born woman in stuck in World War 2 in Captain Jack Harkness is also hard to watch.
  18. The promo for next weeks episode said season finale instead of just finale. I'm not sure what to make of it since nothing official has been announced yet.
  19. I really enjoyed this episode. I loved Mr. and Ms. BAMF running through the tunnels. I thought it was sweet that Jenny basically climbed on top of Frank in her happiness that he was no longer possessed. I loved Abbie and Cranes banter through out the episode, and his anguish when he thought she was dead. I liked how nasty Evil!Katrina was, and that she showed no signs of going back to the good side. On a shallow note, I love her black dress, so I was glad to see her back in it. Lastly, I may of geeked out a little bit at the string version of Sympathy for the Devil. I noticed that the promo for next week said season finale, as opposed to last weeks promo which just said finale. Has a decision been announced yet?
  20. I thought it was an interesting that no one explicitly said the word slave in that final scene. Hopefully Abbie will get out of prison in the first scene, and we won't have to deal with 12 Years A Sleepy Hollow at all.
  21. Torchwood Unpopular Opinions: 1. I like Gwen. I can see why some may find her annoying, but I don't think she's a Mary Sue (which is a term that I hate), or even supposed to be close to perfect. 2. I shipped Owen and Gwen. I thought the tree scene in Countryside was incredible hot, and I wish we had seen more of their affair on screen. 3. While I don't condone cheating, and I thought it was interesting that Gwen got away with her affair with Owen. Usually a female cheater is raked over the coals, and deemed a slut. She's punished for her sins while the male characters get away scot free. I guess it also helps that Gwen never made any excuse for what she was doing, and knew that she probably would get caught. Maybe that's why I liked Gwen. She was an asshole, and knew it. 4. I was surprised when Ianto and Jack got together. Mostly because I didn't see any chemistry between the two. Like wise, I didn't think there was any romantic chemistry between Jack and Gwen. I think that Jack and Tosh would have been interesting to explore. 5. I didn't hate Miracle Day. I decided to watch I as if it was a new show with 2 characters from the original Torchwood. It wasn't perfect, but it entertained me enough.
  22. My unpopular opinion: I really like Katrina's black outfit from season 1. Teenage Goth LeeLee Panda would have found someway to recreate it and freak her parents out. Also, I don't think it's weird that she wears corsets with her modern clothes. I had to wear a steel boned corset for 12 hours a day when I worked at my local rennaissance Faire. once I forgot to pack it in my costume bag, and I felt naked and off the entire day without it. I can imagine that she just isn't used to not wearing one, and feels uncomfortable without it.
  23. How many shows has Fox canceled this season? I know about Glee, Red Band Society, Gracepoint, and now Backstorm. Have they announced their pilots for next season yet?
  24. I'm not seeing anything saying it's canceled. Could you provide a link?
  25. I'm tickled pink that Olivia was being kept in my hometown. My mother and I have a theory that the old airline hanger is the one on the Penn State Harrisburg campus. I wish I could find a screen cap of the map they used.
