My unpopular opinion: I loved the series finale. I actually got teary eyed at the end. Then again, it aired the week my grandmother died, so the thought of everyone meeting again in heaven was poignant to me.

Fellow former Harrisburg resident here. The Civil War Museum line took me out of the episode. That being said, I was amused by the Amish buggy during their stop in Lancaster. It brought back memories of working in that area and being late for work because I got stuck behind a buggy,lol. On Joel: I hated him in Season One. I wanted him to be miserable for what he did to Midge. Yet I’m really enjoying the character this season. I like his growth, and that he seems to be truly supportive of Midge’s career. I usually hate it when shows try to rehabilitate trifling men. It’s my least favorite trope. I don’t know why it works for me on this show. Then again, I haven’t finished the season, so who knows if I’ll end up eating my words.

So, I’m a directing student. One of the biggest thing we are taught is safety. The director sets the tone. They’re are responsible for the safety of their cast and crew. It’s my understanding that this injury happened while Clayne was directing. I don’t know how the accident occured, but any type of injury on set should be treated seriously. If he caused the accident because of miscommunication, or lack of regard for the safety of others then he absolutely deserves to be called out. And if it was truly an accident then obviously Wayans feels like Clayne did not handle the situation correctly. No one should ever feel unsafe in their workplace. And if what Wayans and others are saying is true, then Clayne created a hostile work environment. It sucks for the fans, but Clayne is the only person who deserves blame.

I’m shocked at the amount of people calling out Wayans on Twitter. Apparently he shouldn’t be upset that he got injured because of his co-workers recklessness. Or mad that his co-worker made their work place a living hell. He’s the problem, not the jackass who got fired for being a jackass.

I agree. I have no problem dropping a show if I no longer enjoy watching it or if it feels like a chore to finish it. I almost dropped Scandal for the exact reason. There are 3 episodes from this past season that I stopped watching mid episode. I literally found out how they ended via recaps. I came back because I heard the HTGAWM crossover over was pretty good. Which brings me to a few Scandal unpopular opinions: 1. I really enjoyed the Scandal finale and got choked up at the end. 2. I didn’t mind black hat Olivia and hated that Fitz and crew shunned her. Like, everyone in that crew was a monster. None of them had any room to judge. 3. That being said, I’m glad that she had a chance to redeem herself. In fact, I was strangely relieved that none of the Gladiators went to jail in the end. 4. I feel like Scandal wavered between convoluted mess with moments of brilliances tossed in towards the end. Yet, I still truly enjoyed watching every week (the three episodes I skipped excluded).

This made my night. I wonder if this was scripted moment or improvised?

I thought it was relatable, oddly enough. I’ve also tweaked my back doing yoga and it’s super embarrassing to admit. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this episode. I hate Liv and Fitz as a couple, but enjoy them as colleagues and friends. I wasn’t a fan of their conversation about whether he was “inappropriate”. This is a man who had no qualms showing up at her house at all hours with secret service when she asked him not to. He moved her into the White House without consulting her. Fitz has issues with the word “no”. I wish they hadn’t included that scene, or at least had Liv call out some of Fitzs predatory behavior. It would have been nice to see Fitz realize that he was part of the problem; for that to be a bigger catalyst for him to work to make things better on the hill. Mellies take down of Jake was a thing of beauty, and I say that as someone who usually likes Jake. I’m glad Mellie saw through his bullshit and dragged him.

This is a show where not one but two republican presidents care about things like free college, Black Lives Matter, healthcare for all, and gay rights. Its also a show where President Obama was never elected, yet the Tea Party exists for some reason. Definitely in a parell universe!

I agree. I’ve dealt with severe depression and anxiety my whole life. Rebecca lines about being too tired and wanting to sleep forever hit me so hard. I’ve been there. It was too real.

Hucks line about the cell phone made me cackle. The episode was a bit slow, but I enjoyed it. I really like Quinn, Charlie, and Huck as slightly off kilter fixers over cray cray killers. Olivia's new man snack is nice to look at. At least he's got that going for him. Mellies scene about wanting to get laid went on for too long, though I did get a chuckle over the vibrator bit. Olivia, help your girl out! If you can turn FDR's pool into a B16 evil labarotry you can at least get a Babeland representative in the White House to hook Mellie up.

I really loved Mama Popes speech, but initially thought it was weirdly placed in the episode. I understood it better at the end of the episode. Maya knew Liv was sitting outside of the jail cell. She touched on all of the things black women do for the world and the little credit they get. She was basically encouraging (or manipulating) Liv to stop playing nice for people who don't appreciate her, and get hers.

Yeah, I had to side eye all of that. I know that Shonda had a whole plot line about Russians interfering with the Oval, and they dicided to scrap it because of the real life Election. My theory is that Pony Tail and Peus were supposed to working for the Russians, and they changed it to Luna at the very last minute. I'm going to Fanwank that Cyrus unintentionally planted the whole "kill your husband and become the Vice President" seed in Luna's head.

I know this is probably going to be an unpopular opinion, but I enjoyed this episode and the season as a whole. It wasn't perfect, but I was entertained. I love that Olivia has decided to embrace her evil side. Everyone on this show is a terrible person. They're murderers, thieves, liars, just totally unscrupulous. They're power hungry, and try to justify it in the name of protecting the Republic. I've made my peace with that, which is why I'm fine with Olivia leaning into it. That being said, I feel like Luna Vargas being behind everything was a Deux Ex Machina. Where did she get the money? How did she get in touch with Pony Tail and Peus? Luna's forced suicide made me nauseous. Lord, that was awful to watch. I was on the edge of my seat during the swearing in scene. I had to cackle at the comment that the (fictional) 45th president had the biggest inauguration crowds ever. I loved that Mellie filled her Oval Office with feminist heroes. It will be interesting to see what they do with Quinn and QPA. Katie Lowes is pregnant in real life, so it's nice that they wrote it in. I did enjoy seeing Abbie and Quinn deciding to work together.

Fox, stop rewarding mediocrity!

I liked this weeks episode for the most part. I know it doesn't make any sense, but I'm glad we finally got a violence free episode. Then again, I'm not convinced that killing Peus or Evil Blonde would actually stop anything. Cut them down, and two other people step out of the shadows. I know that everyone on this show is a monster, but I enjoyed watching them come together to save the republic. Also, who knew that I'd be cheering on Mellie, a character I use to hate? I truely thought Cyrus was going to break a wine bottle over Papa Popes head for killing Frankie. I'm here for the power trio of Mellie, Luna, and Olivia, despite it being unrealistic. I love/hated Fitz speech about women. It was cool that he acknowledged the powerful women in his life. But I hated that he put down "headband wearing" women. Not everyone has the same ambitions, and that's ok.

I'm not a Mison stan, but I'd love to see him on Doctor Who. I don't think he has the gravitas to play the Doctor, but he'd be fun to watch in at least one episode. Maybe a one time companion. Back on topic: Those ratings warm the cold cockles of my petty heart.

Time for LeeLeePanda's positive thoughts on Scandal (missing last week cause that was a hot mess). 1. I loved the shot of Abbie and Fitz being led from the White House to the safe space and Abbie's feet barely touching the ground. I hate Fitz, but I really liked the juxtaposition of him walking with purpose and Abbie basically being dragged/carried by the Secret Service. 2. I loved the jogging scene. I really liked how it was shot. 3. I think Abbie was an idiot for taking the deal. Then again, I've accepted that most of the characters on this show don't have the sense they were born with. 4. I was both grossed out and facinated by prosthetic Frankie Vargas during the autopsy scene. 5.No Papa Pope (though I don't mind him in small doses). I think Olivia was in one scene. I guess this was shot while Kerry Washington was on maternity leave. What happened to Marcus? Dude straight up disappeared into the ether. 6. This week didn't bore me as much as the last 2 episodes have. I'm interested in how they're going to get Cyrus out of jail, and if Mellie will actually make it into the White House. I'm sure it will be convoluted and eye roll inducing, but I'm still enjoying the ride.

I agree. I liked the character. I still wouldn't have watched this season, but I think they did her dirty. I have 2 unpopular opinions. 1: I think I might have considered giving this season a chance had they not killed off Abbie. It might not have been must see tv for me, but I'd probably check in every now and then. 2. However, since they did decide to kill Abbie, I think they should have killed off both witnesses last season. Ending the season with both Crane and Abbie dead would have been super shocking, and a great way for them to reboot the series. Again, I wouldn't have watched, but it would have been and interesting twist.

I was bored for most of it, but really liked the reveal in the last 5 minutes. I really didn't like the idea of Jake and Papa Pope being behind Vargas's murder, if only because it would be so obvious and cliche. I was on the edge of my seat during those last few minute. I knew Jake wouldn't kill Liv, but it still made me feel uneasy. Also, I thought Mama Pope was going to be in the cabin when he opened the door. I kinda think she's behind all of this now.

Today in former cast member who are doing just fine: First Look at Orlando Jones as Mr. Nancy in American Gods. I'm so excited for this!

They'll probably just hire a new cast and promise the fans that the new season will be the best season ever!!1
