  1. And a special needs sister! (Damn, a little on the nose for Colfer there... :)) I found the dynamic there interesting though. Like, despite the fact that we're probably supposed to feel like his parents are terrible and repressive, it seems Simon has no problem having a mature discussion with them about issues and his parents seem to allow him to make his own decisions after giving their opinions/advice. So... kudos? I hope they don't blow that out of the water by making them cardboard villains later on. It also looks like Simon and Jeremy are going to develop something. Yeah, he's a small-town white man in his mid-life crisis taking everyone out along the way and not giving a shit who gets trampled. High-school English bores him, so he bullies his way into a new hobby. They'd have a long way to go to redeem him for me.
  2. That, and there was no reason to think her medication was a problem. The ADHD didn't go anywhere when she stopped.
  3. I forgot how much I wanted to punch Carter when he med-shamed Lucy into stopping her Ritalin. Screw you, Carter, I didn't even get put on Ritalin until I was 33. It's not like your brain chemistry magically changes after puberty. I'm watching her struggle through a presentation because her brain is ADD-ing and he's giving her shit about it. Well, that's what happens when you cold-turkey drop your ADD meds, Carter! Ass hat.
  4. Oh, thank god, I thought it was just me. My dad does have what they called "baby blood" and they asked him to give blood as often as possible, but it's not like they called it "miracle blood" or anything. (I think it's just that he never had CMV?) And I'd think if it were an issue of rarity, then the very fact of it being so rare would mean that there wouldn't be many people needing it. ETA: Maybe they meant his blood was Rh-null.
  5. This ep was just ridiculous from beginning to end. As much as I love MGG, the whole season of running around after his drama was bad enough and now it's an Evil Queen being a giant one-dimensional psycho. It's been kinda crappy since Hotch left, honestly.
  6. I think they mean that Dita the Hair Missile Dog is female. :) She has some adorable BTS pics in her IMDB profile and apparently, she really has tandem sky dived for this show!
  7. Yes, NW Indiana is part of the "Greater Chicagoland area". They did list the suburbanites with their town names.
  8. God, I can only hope she dies horribly soon. I wanted to punch her in the face most of the time she was on the screen. Which is a shame because I did like the message she was trying to get across that getting sober is not a one-and-done thing, but a lifetime process.
  9. But Natalie doesn't care - she was downright cruel. To the parents, to the baby. I agree that they should have just cut the baby free on the spot and let him die in his parents' arms. Once Natalie started taunting them with the idea that their child had a chance and they got their hopes up, I just wanted to punch her in her holier-than-thou face.
  10. The jobs get more and more ridiculous. Why couldn't the fire department go up the inside of the structure? Even something as crude as hauling a ladder from floor to floor as they go should have worked. And why didn't the pilot and doctor leave the helicopter right away? It wasn't unstable or anything and if they had left before the fuel spilled everywhere, a spark wouldn't have been an issue. Just.... so unnecessary and ridiculous. Sly and Flo would be kinda cute. Ralph was being a bit of a dick, but Walter actually had productive counsel for a change by pointing out that sabotaging others never pays.
  11. Still not a big fan of Ella lately, but when she whaled on her brother with her chancla, I found myself laughing out loud. I agree that Chloe is much more enjoyable as Luci's platonic detective partner and god, I hope they nix this thing with her fawning over Pierce. Trixie (and Maze) was a delight as always.
  12. I loved the sexual/romantic tension in the last five minutes with Luci and Cain ramping up and then ending in "...Fine. Go get the chainsaw." and Luci lighting up with glee.
  13. Yeah, this was freakin' ridiculous. If Dad knew he was on death's door, maybe he could have taken time out of arranging the flowers for his funeral and sold off the business. Or at least sold off a controlling stake to someone who would run it and let Widow LaSalle live off the profits. I would have had to punch my TV if Chris left NCIS to mismanage his family business into the ground. "But it's faaaaamily!" Sorry, Daddy LaSalle was an asshole first. He doesn't get to dictate Chris's life and slack off on his responsibility to his workers and then expect Chris to give up everything. If Daddy cared about family in the first place, he would have taken care of his shit before he died.
  14. But it's his One Meal! You can eat anything at your One Meal! It's not all the juice's fault, Drew, it's the two breakfast sandwiches and the side and whatever was in that carton you were starting to open... Getting away with eating a queso-covered burrito and still losing a little weight made him think he could keep sliding. Nope, Drew, you should have lost more that first time around on a liquid diet. Naomi rocks and I hope everything goes smoothly without complication. She and her partner can go make beautiful healthy babies!
  15. I assumed because Elle Greenaway was the unsub, but it turns out Kathryn Winslow and Lola Glaudini are apparently dopplegangers......
  16. The clinic fire had NO PURPOSE than for Dawson to once again run into danger to "save the day". NONE. It's like they realized they were behind on Gabby's savior points and had to cram something in.
  17. I did love the fact that Maximus was all "DUH, it's been like 15-20 years of watching your made-up sign language every day. The question you should be asking is why no one else ever figured out at least the basics. And you guys treated ME like I was the useless idiot." Apparently, Bolt lost the ability to write during his terratogenesis, too. The fact that all those years passed and Bolt never noticed (or cared) that his too-sharp-for-his-own-good brother was being treated like shit by the whole family and just maybe that was a recipe for a coup made me want the royal family to fall. If he had half a brain, he would have brought Maximus in as his right-hand man and shared the SooperSecret threat with him. Instead, he alienated him.
  18. Might have been a trust that wasn't accessible until he was a certain age.
  19. The small-talk trash-talk segments are so bad! Most of these people aren't natural assholes and they stand there awkwardly trying to talk smack and failing sadly. Give it up, show. Let them just tattoo. You can cast arrogant assholes for the leftover spots later.
  20. This is why as a single gal, unless I'm specifically buying for a big recipe, I buy my milk in pints (or Dean's "chugs"). If I only crack open two cups at a time, I can usually use it before it goes bad, and the rest of the milk I bought is still safely sealed.
  21. Yeah, I never realized I was sporting a mullet until I looked back as an adult. But honestly, girls almost had to have mullets because the feathered bangs took up the entire front half of your head. Leave your hair long and straight in the back and "mullet!".
  22. I really liked that the nurse who got stuck with him that one day took him in hand when he got assigned Femur Groom and kinda talked him through it, waiting patiently for him to kick in, but keeping him on point.
  23. And another example of 'when a royal family member hits the 'shitty power' jackpot": instead of spending the rest of his life locked away with a muzzle on, Black Bolt is instead made king. Gosh, wonder why anyone would want to overthrow that system! (And as far as we know(?), Mortis didn't actually kill anyone first - while Bolt killed his own parents, the current royals!)
  24. And her husband making captain is all about her. God forbid he get a moment in the spotlight.
  25. It's like the writers knew they'd jumped the Gabby shark and thoughtfully named the episode what we're all calling it. "The Breaking Point" God knows it is for me.
