  1. These kids are going to leave the show with PTSD at this point. Even the adult teams always screw up something on this challenge; it's a lot to expect of the kids. And Remy? STOP IT, girl. Just stop. Your "sassy" bullshit is distracting me from your ass-kicking.
  2. You'd think after Boden made Battalion Chief, the higher ups would chill out a little about "taking down" House 51.
  3. I just love seeing Romy and Daniel together because they both played one of the parents in Glee. :)
  4. And the grunting. Seriously, rewatch it and realize how much grunting, groaning and random noises these two make. I'm still not sure why the pump room filled up with water because of an electrical short (and how that helped right the ship). But I'm very impressed smuggler guy managed to open that door, have an entire room full of water drain past him into the hallway and yet was still fresh as a daisy.
  5. Ah. but the Coast Guard was "working the hurricane", so apparently a cruise ship doesn't warrant their attention?
  6. Between this and Amazing Race this season, I'm over people declaring themselves SuperFans!! and then acting like they've never watched the show before.
  7. If he said "sexy" one more time, I was going to drive up to Wisconsin and PYKAG him myself.
  8. Did Gordon just set Kristell up to fail? She'd been laboring away at that coleslaw and Gordon dumps the task that everyone ignored on her after it was probably too late to fix it. So not fair. Lydia did suck as a captain, so yeah.
  9. Is that what they used to call "exposure"? Neither Exposure Bucks nor Calling Cash pay the rent or feed the family.
  10. I'm thinking that Athena's issue might be more with her being idle than being alone with Bobby. We know she won't retire until they pull her bodily off the streets. And here they have Lola and Nathan parading their retirement escapades in front of them and Bobby signing up for a ton of activities and she's panicking at the idea of retirement. Rather than examine that, she redirects that panic of the unknown towards something she knows is solid - her relationship with Bobby. And Bobby will reassure her and ride it out with her and get her out of her head. Eventually. But that's just my theory for why she's acting the fool. :)
  11. Yeah, once Jon talked about the demographics, I seriously wondered how well any of this would stick. They had a dive bar feel at best and I don't think he brought them up so high they could compete with what must be in the area.
  12. "I know this is a bad look, this being probationary and all. But my brain sometimes seizes on an idea and I feel this surge of adrenaline shoot up and I keep telling myself, "Slow down, Zola, slow down."" Yyyyeah, dig yourself a bigger hole. 'Cause there's nothing a hospital plagued by doctors that run off half-cocked wants more than more doctors who can't control themselves.
  13. S9E1 Ugh, all the 10-year-old girls trying to be "sassy"... Looking at you, Remy. Stop with the hands and faces and <waves hand at Remy> all this. Lilo and Bre, you're on the edge. Pull it back. Asher Joel Osment. "I've been cooking since I was 2!" Yeah, calm down there, kiddo, but I like your style. Why does Lydia always look like she's expecting a beating? Cheese Curd does indeed look like the Mini Me of a Wisconsin Cheesehead. Nice dish! That steak made me hungry. Pageant Girl Jordyn worried me for a moment with the backstory, but seems down-to-earth. Miles was adorable with the assistive devices, was well-spoken and not wired, so plus. But dude, he TOLD you not to make it an actual smiley face. He TOLD YOU. A really nice mash with some roasted balsamic brussels sprouts plated like a normal dish would have has you safe for sure. Sneezing paprika all over the plate didn't help. Jason - who the fuck thinks gummy bears in a savory entree are a good idea? Also, Lilo, just cook good food - no one needs the illusion work this early in when you can't produce well-cooked steak chunks.
  14. Yeah, I was stunned absolutely no one mentioned that. I really liked this episode. Voight was more the man he used to be when he could be vulnerable. He's seemed so lost since losing Al. Having someone to take care of should be interesting - I hope Noah stays around a while, even if in the background after his storyline wraps up.
  15. Yeah, I didn't see Teresa jumping back in through the window to help her husband after their bad choices.
  16. They went on and on about 51 always being their home, that they would always come back, etc, etc - Makes me wonder if they're just planning for Eamonn to leave and Jesse to come back as the Captain of 51. Severide is already primed to captain OFI or move on full-time to that task force if necessary. I would be a little surprised if Stella decided she wanted kids. (I was always bummed that Severide and Shay never had that kid together.) I can't imagine them bringing up Cruz and Mouch trying for the Lt exam without following through, but yeah, running out of open mgmt slots unless they plan to SPLIT the cast into different shifts? That would be unique, I think, for these kind of shows and would let them have the high-rollers on fewer episodes.
  17. Is it terrible that I hoped Burt had killed himself? 'Cause I don't want Goodwin dealing with that shit any more than she does.
  18. Will we find out that there were rules that forced the Sweat guys to not do jack shit to effectively plug the holes in the minuscule buckets? Jelly was at least TRYING to plug the holes with his fingers; other guy kept walking off with half the holes just dumping water out. Line it with your buff! Plug the holes with stick or rocks as you walk back! Something! Of course they weren't going to fill the jars even if they had all day. They'd have had more luck soaking their clothes and wringing them out.
  19. I don't watch The Good Wife so is this character as horrendous as she appears in the commercials? Like is she what happens when a Manic Pixie Dream Girl gets too old? I don't like my quirky hyper-intelligent cop-adjacent characters (Bobby Goren, Will Trent, Malcolm Bright, etc.) to be comic relief. Heaven forbid we have a female one that isn't a cute clown.
  20. I guess she was miscarrying but the fetus had not yet died. Which... a couple days later, she should have been able to go back and get the D&C? Unless they're trying to say that the docs didn't want to remove the fetus no matter what stage of decomp it was in unless she was actively passing it?
  21. 1. Shut up, Zola. 2. I realize they wouldn't be able to pull off the miscarriage storyline in Chicago itself, but Illinois in general wouldn't be a problem either. Was the rural clinic was supposed to be in Indiana or something? "Where we live that could happen"? 3. Man, Hot New Doc played the lobotomy reaction so well. I like him. 4. Re: the other new doc - Shut up, Zola.
  22. there are many other shows from smaller designers who are seeking models, but cannot afford the rates top modeling agencies charge for their models. I can totally believe that the tiny "loft show" with both of them was paid handsomely for putting up with the Cryptkeeper whinging about the realities of modeling. Gaby looks grown for a change with that slicked hair. Honestly I don't know how realistic Gaby being a real working model would be, but damn, girl, don't let Mom use you as her emotional support animal. Get that woman some therapy. Oh, look, Gaby gave up and crawled back inside the Cryptkeeper's withered old hooha so they can go right back into their old folie a deux. --- Britt, TJ is not the one making it hard. And yes, Mary hates his ass, wake up. And if TJ is enrolled in the next electrician's union apprentice class, that's a solid career path that will probably make more than whatever she's making with her degree.
  23. Oh, man, I feel for that poor woman who lost her entire upper lip from one round of filler. I mean, she's more functional now, but still looks pretty rough. The trans guy looks an adorable bear now; so happy for him. The Brit mother-child pair, I'm glad they just moved them along. No one cares, darling.
  24. In the real world, a good boss has an interest in helping his people achieve their career goals. But these people act like they're asking a traditional daddy permission to marry his favorite daughter every time they want to do something for themselves. No one needs Severide's or Boden's blessing for everything.
  25. Georgia Clay Mayday S10 E23 Gah, do people even LOOK at the land before buying it? I've been speed-binge-watching and honestly the number of places that are swamps or have no water source at all, etc - the Texas Rift compound that floods regularly and cuts off 90% of the land, the lady whose outhouse is regularly rinsed across her property, and now Georgia's swamp land. (ETA the Texas family of 5? that bought a rotted shithole of a house and did nothing to fix it at all. Had they never even seen the place before buying?? That's not even something you'd miss depending on the season like flooding, etc.) The little girl with her "calling" to apparently abuse animals to death while planning to live off of her goat milk production. Becca thinks she can make bank off of local goat milk sales? Dead animals in every hovel, whole groups of animals dying off from hoof rot or parasites or predators or pneumonia from living conditions. Jesus.
