  1. The one that equated plain with old.
  2. Yikes, rerun of the not-wrecked house not meant for 8 people. Nice estimate by Jasmin, who needed 2 extensions totaling 5 weeks over the original 12. Somethings not right with those parents. We’ve got $300k, pass on moving? Bet the mortgage was paid off because it was his grandmother’s house. So no mortgage for 6 years helps get you $300K. 8 people in an RV? Gosh, what could have happened that made them rent a house? With no budget for it? A call from Child Services?
  3. It was a long break — long enough to break the habit. And the new mission statement struck me as meh. I came for the snark. Maybe there are show forums that are problematic, I’m not there. Also, I looked at the big list of new shows, and hadn’t heard of any of them. Full disclosure, I deleted a bunch of unwatched HH eps. Lots of Florida, Alabama, descriptions of bs drama—zzzzzz.
  4. Until now, I was perplexed that the Marrs wanted a home in Italy. This makes more sense—it’s a job, in a remodeling-restrictive country (hello, YouTubers!), hundreds year old stone house, no language, no consistent schedule because they’ll go back and forth home/here, lots of obstacles, you know, like an HGTV show. The only appropriate thing at this point is the little schlep Italian-style cheap truck. And Jenny shit all over that.
  5. Nice guys and the house turned out to suit them. That kitchen was good, Erin, really good for them. The backyard was nice, but all I could mage was steamy weather and bugs. So lots of time in the screened-in room (Pool will be used!
  6. I think they paid for the location, walking distance to “downtown “ Royal Oak. There are a few blocks with stores and cafes, as opposed to strip malls and parking lots. The me-first sister actually made a point about the second smaller bedroom being more cozy—anything to make it seem like she wasn’t sacrificing anything for her sister.
  7. For anyone who'd like to read it, I'll gift it for you.
  8. If you need another reason to watch the Washington DC episode of Somebody Feed Phil, say hello when Kwame Onwuachi meets up for a meal.
  9. Call for unhappy homeowners in Toronto.
  10. Taking pains to reinforce that the hero interactions are legit and meaningful, eh? Jeremiah will get a lot more screen time than Bobby did. Wonder whose time he’ll be claiming? 😉
  11. The fish now swims in another restaurant tank? LOL, and the family dog went to a farm in the country.
  12. That was one of the greatest reveals! How they didn’t look beforehand, I don’t know—although they had to see the driveway work. But their reaction to the front of the house—and that kitchen, especially, was special. Hope they find nice buyers/neighbors for their old place. Perhaps the Napiers can redo that house next season, along with Susie’s bedroom and bath. I’m sure they could use it.
  13. Didn’t see that coming. But I’m not mad. Except I was looking forward to more Nate and Jeremiah.
  14. Phil’s back! I started with Kyoto, because I’ve always wanted to go. It’s beautiful—hope you like fish. Plus, Monica. Phil definitely has his own style of very curated experiences, e.g. René Redzepi is in town with a pop-up Noma (which is closing soon). Later, the reunion meal is at the place run by a Noma chef. You get the idea. But you also get the respect for Kyoto and a few historical examples. I can identify with Phil saying that Kyoto is a place you miss, even when you’re there, knowing you’ll leave. I had that feeling in Positano.
  15. (Delete without watching.) Thanks for the PSA. Ha, this hits all my least favorite hot spots in a location I don’t care about. I did catch Richard in London rerun—Hollywood couple went with the great, over-budget (allegedly;-) place. Richard, save one of those for me. Yeah, I enjoy old British movies with charming houses—I’d go look at them, not live in one and it’s lack of central heat and a/c.
  16. I thought she liked the living room. It was all the side eye she threw during the presentation/planning stage that I appreciated. My impression was that Yulanda said it was the $$ that made the decision. I think Antinisha said that the stairs and distance were the dealkillers, but that sounded like a cover story. Yulanda was clear, but happy with the end result. I hope they both enjoy it for a long time.
  17. Happy to see Rico’s team win. With Alison around, and as awkward as ever the minute or so I watched her, I missed the battles. Need to go see what the boys did—besides not annoy me.
  18. Shirtless ✅ Flirty attorney appears out of nowhere ✅ Side characters more interesting than main ✅ Colter packing up his angst and moving on ✅ Health care that reminded me of France ✅ ( I walked out of hospital with no bill-/they sent a small one a couple months later. Small compared to US.🤬) Anyway, I am still watching. Ken Olin has been involved with good TV, I’m hoping he can help steer this into the fast lane.
  19. Bye, Jack. I ve never been more glad of so many seasons of McCoy reruns! Jack anytime. And Sam? Blew Dancy off the screen in their shared scenes. Plot was whatever, putting the threats in there that Jack and Price could dismiss reminded me of Jack and Adam.
  20. Amen. WTAH—so it looks good on TV? Doesn’t seem to make the homes on Home Town suck because Erin goes with a laminate. Or homemade butcher block. Because that’s WHAT THE BUDGET ALLOWS!
  21. I still watch (albeit not if they’re in states I wouldn’t even visit). I like looking at houses—so I mostly put up with the role-players, the drama queens of any gender and, well, I mute vocal fry. Like some here, I can frequently crack the code and pick their house. Then I laugh. (And/or snark on them here.)
  22. OMG, John just offered Clarence Thomas a million dollars a year for life and a $2.4M* pimped-out luxury condo on wheels to get his ass off the Supreme Court and keep it off! 30-day offer and the clock is ticking! Marry me, John! I could not liove you more. And welcome back, Show! 😂😂😂❤️
  23. Thanks for the Peacock reminder! I needed to cancel by 2/24 when my 99 cents trial expires. Hadn’t watched in months! Ha, now I see I have til then to watch Oppenheimer for free. Or 99 cents. Looking forward to the Prime class-action suit. Brit Box went after Jimmy left Shetland. Hopping on and off seems smart for some services. I’m sure they’ll attach penalties one day. Meanwhile, I subscribe to a bunch of stuff on free YT and watch on TV—getting real good with skip ad!
  24. Bonus for them, he’s big on family, but Phil, wanna travel wherever you want and explore whatever food you want, meet new folks, pig out, tour, nice hotels, get paid, bring your wife and kids if they’re available?
  25. LOL, seems random, except yay! That’s a hard pass for me, too. I avoid both of their shows on the regular. The sisters were out of central casting of bickering sisters aging together. Based on the months later shots, David needs to return with some design ideas, but I’d rather watch remodel them than Leslie and Lindsay.
