  1. What about his iconic role as Franklin Delano Roosevelt in not one, but two made-for-TV movies?
  2. That was the one thing that I regretted about the Snow Queen's demise. Because she attained true redemption through sincere repentance (unlike a certain other Queen who shall remain nameless), I wouldn't have minded if she had been able to stay in Storybrooke. She would have been the show's only truly redeemed villain, and it would have been awesome seeing her learn to use her considerable powers for good. In other words, she earned "hero" status in my eyes, and I would even have rooted for her to have a real happy ending at some point.
  3. To say nothing of the fact that her onscreen husband Maurice was also played by another gay actor -- Maurice Evans also preferred the company of men, as gay men of his generation would have said. And it's ironic that Agnes was supposedly a bit of a homophobe, since for years there was a very popular rumor circulating about that she was a lesbian. As I recall, her son finally put the kibosh on that one.
  4. Just don't say it around me -- I might go nu-cu-lar on you!
  5. Blame the Romans. The original Latin name of the month was Februarius which came from the Latin word februus, meaning "pure." The month (which originally didn't exist in the Roman calendar -- that began in March and ended in December) was added to the calendar as a month of purification and penance appropriate to the time just before the new year began in March; hence the name.
  6. Sadly, you're not. She did them for quite a while a few years ago.
  7. Probably not, since NBC had the 2014 Winter Olympics for half of the month. As I recall, it was also the middle of awards season, so we had the Oscars and various music awards to contend with as well.
  8. Cool. And just when I had noted in the Wish List thread that PBS had stopped airing the competition years ago!
  9. But then who would shred the donkeys in the interviews? Nobody does it better than Claude does!
  10. The power of the gauntlet is that it reveals people's weaknesses to the wearer of the gauntlet, and to many people (Rumpel and Cora, for example), love is the greatest weakness. Rumpel's weakness was his love for the thing he loved most -- power. Rumpel's power flows from the dagger at this point, so when Belle used the gauntlet to discover his greatest love (she thought it would take her directly to him), it took her directly to the real dagger instead. That's when she realized that their entire marriage had been built on a lie, and she reacted accordingly by using the real dagger to banish him from Storybrooke.
  11. Yeah, that's a problem. Unless it's clear from the get-go that this is a one-and-done, they're screwed if the show becomes too popular, if you know what I mean.
  12. Of course not -- not with a sequel soon to be in the works!
  13. And it's only got a four-week run? You just know people will be begging for more if it's as cheesily camp as it promises to be!
  14. That is so undeniably cheesy that I love it!
  15. Then again, Emma's 32, not 16. Would she even want them to do that kind of probing on her behalf?
  16. Given how many ringers have been routinely cast during the past few years, I'd say your wish is almost redundant at this point. Besides, professional-level perfection tends to be boring after a while; there's a reason that PBS no longer airs the Ohio Star Ball pro competition.
  17. Adam honey, as Prince Thomas said to Cinderella, "If the shoe fits, wear it!"
  18. True. He'd not only take that as a compliment, he'd even consider it a challenge!
  19. Because the condition under which he was made human was that he remain "selfless, brave, and true" for the rest of his life. When he selfishly abandoned baby Emma and didn't even try to contact her before she went to Storybrooke, he violated the terms of the spell that had made him human. That's why he started reverting to wood after he became aware that she was in Storybrooke. That it occurred in the Land Without Magic is irrelevant.
  20. I wouldn't go clutching the pearls just yet. As everyone knows by now, Colin and Christina are collaborating on a new music video (she's been tweeting about it non-stop for a while now). The alleged "canoodling" is probably just part of what we'll see in the video. It's all just make-believe, people!
