  1. It's also a grim reminder that we're still headed down the same slippery slope that created the Sanctuary Districts and led to the Bell Riot in the first place. It's 2015 now; 2024 is only nine years away. Let's hope that this is one prediction that the show gets wrong.
  2. I have to say, though, Perez Hilton actually looks pretty good, considering that he was once much heavier and grosser looking. I also didn't know that he had a two-year-old son. But you can butch up your appearance all you want, Perez -- I still see that purse dropping out of your mouth every time you open it!
  3. Linda Evans AND Perez Hilton? I'm surprised they didn't try to get Dame Joan Collins and re-create Dynasty!
  4. If I remember my history correctly, wasn't the real 15th-Century Queen Isabella (that's actually written as "Isabel" in Spanish) from Valencia? And yes, I know that the show is actually set some 230 years before the time of Isabel, Ferdinand, and Columbus. And I just found the answer to my own question. The real Queen Isabella (the one associated with Columbus) was from Castile/Aragon, not Valencia. Her youngest daughter was Catherine of Aragon, who is best known as Henry VIII's first wife. The fact that Catherine was from Aragon should have tipped me off!
  5. No, but he has a nice, furry, well-developed chest. That's what made ME say "Daaammmnnn" when I saw it!
  6. Before Madalena shot him down by pointing out that Pearl only loved him because it was her job and she was paid to.
  7. Oh, I'll bet the whole soundtrack eventually becomes available!
  8. And guess what song is now available for download on iTunes!
  9. According to the latest tweets, there will be encore presentations both tonight AND Saturday. Personally, I think that's just a bit of overkill.
  10. It just means that they're giving people another chance to view it who might have missed it on Sunday for whatever reason.
  11. Well, you know what Calvin says: Verbing weirds language.
  12. Please -- you just know the Swan Queen shippers are dying to co-opt that for an Emma/Regina duet!
  13. Just the fact that she's having an affair with the court jester behind his back (and probably not even being all that discreet about it) tells you that she does. If they were ever found out, it would be an automatic death sentence for both of them on grounds of treason. That is, if anyone else but Richard were King.
  14. If those ratings hold up over the next three weeks, I'd say that this show stands an excellent chance of being renewed. Fans are already clamoring for a second season on Twitter. I think the decision to double up episodes for a four-week run was a brilliant idea. This limited-run approach will hopefully keep viewers from getting burned out too soon. If this approach is done permanently (with the show alternating between half-seasons of OUAT and being promoted constantly during that show's run), it could be around for a long time.
  15. That, by the way, was another show that this reminded me of -- Blackadder (especially the first two seasons). Where's Baldrick with his cunning plans?
  16. If anyone can think of a better title for the thread, feel free to suggest changes. Anyway, here's where we are after the debut (source is Yahoo! TV). I think it sounds pretty awesome; what do y'all think?
  17. You can catch it on Hulu. That's where I saw all three of them this morning (thankfully, my boss was out of town today!).
  18. Yeah, Isabella wasn't the only one who was saying "Daaammmnnn!" during that bathing scene!
  19. And at the risk of offending the purists, how about Evil Queen Regina's take on him (of course, I think he'd be beneath her contempt -- you know how she has no patience for wimps!)?
  20. True, but I have a feeling that she'd turn on Richard in a heartbeat if she ever admitted her feelings for Galavant to herself (and Richard would be too much of a wimp to do anything about it, really. It's one of the reasons that Madalena holds him in such a high degree of contempt.). It wouldn't be the first time that a double agent switched sides.
  21. Yeah, when Madalena told him that she was choosing wealth and position over love, he looked as though she had just kicked him in the stomach. My advice to you, Galavant? Ditch the gold-digger; she's getting exactly what she deserves in King Richard, and I think even she knows it. You can do so much better -- even though she'd rather eat nails than admit it, I think Princess Isabella likes you!
  22. Yeah, I missed some of that, too, but I got enough that I still thoroughly enjoyed it. This show is bawdy, cheesy, campy, and hilarious as hell, and the cast and crew clearly had a lot of fun making it. What's not to love?
  23. I watched it and the first two episodes this morning. I loved all three. It's obvious that the cast and the crew had the time of their lives making this show!
