That does make me feel better! You are right, @Zella - the staff was fine with it. My dentist was not going to start until I was numb. She really didn't want me to be in pain at all. My cheek is healing and I think in a few days, I'll forget all about it.

Jill is so creepy and after all those kids, still has no idea how to be a loving parent. Why couldn't she lie down in the child's bed with her "baby" who she "loves so much" and maybe even read her a story until she gets sleepy? These are the things that loving parents do every day. It's just heart breaking that these kids are subjected to this narcissistic mother and a cold, dopey father.

I went to the dentist and got a new crown yesterday. Though it's never happened to me for any dental work before, yesterday it took 3 shots of Novacain to get me fully numb. I have an ok pain threshold and do not have fear of the dentist, but for some reason it just wasn't working for me. Anyway, I also bit my cheek and it's so annoying alongside my temporary crown. I'm really feeling sorry for myself today and Mr. BB is especially annoying to me today too. I guess I'm in a bit of a funk! My dentist is very gentle and kind, so I do believe the problem was mine. I'm rinsing with salt water and putting Anbesol in my cheek and taking an NSAID and that's helping. I really hope tomorrow goes better!

I know nothing about Lori Alexander, but if she abused her child like that, I hope one day she gets thrown under the bus by the child(ren?) whose lives she tried to destroy! Whether they write a book or call the authorities on her, I don't care. I just want her to face consequences.

I am going to out myself as a big, dumb dope...or at least the most non-observant person around. I've been posting on these forums for ages and just today I noticed that arrow in the lower right corner that brings you quickly to the top of the page. Has it always been there? I was about to suggest that with the next software update, they add a button like that! And suddenly I noticed that it's already there!

We haven't quite finished watching season 2, but has anyone else noticed how often the dialogue is "Are you okay?" It's usually said from Dad to Hilde, but others say it as well. Try taking a drink every time someone says it and see what happens!

Carlin is the last person I would want in the delivery room. She has to be the center of attention in every situation and Katie should be the focus in the delivery room. Since Carlin can't even manage her own home and family, I don't see how she would be much help post natal either. But it's up to Katie. 🤷‍♀️

We are heading up North to see our grandkids. We haven't seen them since Thanksgiving, so this trip will take care of twice postponed Christmas and we'll finally get the last of the Christmas presents out of our living room! Almost a month after the big day!

Austin made me laugh a few times in this video. They do have a cute rapport. I think he did about as well as can be expected.

Thanks for the video link, @Gemma Violet! I don't watch much video of Jinger and I was struck by how much her speaking style and cadence remind me of Joy. Jinger is a more polished version, but the similarities are there.

Jill has a DEGREE in hairstyling, so please don't question her fashion sense! (I kid!)

I actually laughed out loud a few times at this episode.

I think the problem I have with this show, is that after 6 episodes, I still don't care about any of these people and I'm really bored when they spend so much time on relationship stuff.

I never get sick after a vaccination, but I think it's pretty common. I hope you are feeling better today, @oliviabenson! I had flu once and it was awful. I couldn't even get off the couch for about 24 hours! You'll be glad to be protected once you feel better. Hugs!

I'm still listening to and enjoying Digging Up the Duggars podcast. But now I've also found a YouTube channel Gabs With Abigail. She does episodes about keeping up with D-list fundies (like Jill Rodrigues' book aimed at teens/young girls where Jill says horrible things about her mil and David's upbringing) and points out hypocrisy and illogical thinking in a humorous way.

The title is probably the cleverest part of Jinger's book.

@Jeeves - I wish we could pick two reactions. In addition to a hug, I'd have also given you a laugh. That pic and your comment on it were so funny!

How interesting to think of the family dynamic when Josh returns. That could inspire a book that I would read! But I don't think anyone in the family would write anything that didn't describe a perfect Christian family.

@Mindthinkr- I think you did just the right thing in offering to help in a way that doesn't get you sick. I'm glad you are taking care of yourself! @Notabug- I love your story about your nephew's thoughtful teacher's actions. It does help to hear how much others cared about a loved one who has passed, to know that they're not forgotten. When my youngest was in pre-school. I'd chat every day with all the Moms as we waited to pick up our kids. They all knew that I was anxiously awaiting the birth of my sister's first child. They grieved with me when I sadly shared that she had had a full-term stillbirth. The one person who never said a word of condolence was the pre-school teacher. I thought it was a bit odd, but she was so great in every way that I let it go. A couple of months later, she & I drove together on a field trip. She shared with me that her first child had been born with a heart defect and passed away a few days after birth. She said that she couldn't bear to talk about my sister's situation as her own tragedy came back to her and she just couldn't find the words. Sometimes people can't do the expected thing because of their own pain. I so appreciated when she shared her story with me.

I wonder how many guinea pigs they'll have by the next video...since the two they were told were both male (or was it female?) have already reproduced!

Jessa kept her purse over her mid-section and looked annoyed at Joy filming her. Just saying! Also, it's funny to me (with twins in my family) to only mention that it's Jana's birthday with no mention of JD, even in passing.

I've only listened to one so far. They're a funny couple with pet names for different Duggars. The wife has read their books and researched and made a timeline that includes what was Josh was up to irl as opposed to what is shown on the show. The husband is watching the shows for the first time. It's so funny as she clues him in. The intro contains "Mother is bleeding" and Ben "rapping". 😂

So jealous! Her insta is private. I did a request to follow, but if she researches me at all, I probably won't make the cut!

I just started listening to a new to me podcast called Digging Up the Duggars. They had me with the hilarious intro. Some of you might like to give it a try!
