I was at a folk festival the very day that it was announced that President Biden was stepping out of the race. I bought a cute red hat supporting the folk festival. I wore it back to my seat and realized that it looked too much like a MAGA hat. I shoved it in my bag and have never worn it again.

My kids never said I couldn't post pics of the grandkids, but when I noticed that they didn't, I stopped. In fact, this is awful, but a guy I worked with tagged a pic of my granddaughter. I blocked him and began my journey to NOT posting about my grandkids.

I hope your headache is gone, @oliviabenson! Last night I had a crazy dream about trying to avoid a bear - indoors! I looked up the meaning and it seems to mean that I'm wrestling with a decision. I am! I have two invitations for parties that are scheduled for the exact same day and time in May. The first is for a dear friend's son's graduation from high school. Sounds like fun! The 2nd was from my nephew's wife for their adorable daughter's 3rd birthday. That is my late sister's granddaughter. A couple of problems with that invitation. I love my nephew and his wife is lovely, but they live in the city (Chicago) and we're not really comfortable driving into the city. A bigger issue is that some low contact siblings will be there. One sister was extremely rude to my husband and we now keep our distance from her. OTOH, there will be a lot of nice people there. Mostly the ones I'm not related to lol! Any suggestions? The graduation party invitation arrived first.

I used my instant pot all the time for a couple of years. Now we use the air fryer more. My husband has been doing most of the cooking and he loves the AF. It is kind of big and does take up counter space. Everything is tender and well cooked, imo.

What really annoys me besides their lack of loving help to others, is that they perform their "Christianity" for the rest of the world. Honestly, I'm not sure how much some of these people actually love the Big Guy in the Sky. Their performances are to show the heathens here on earth how godly they are. And many of us are not buying it! Jill especially seems capable only of loving herself.

She needs sils to foot her restaurant outings and dils who understand that Mahmo ALWAYS is entitled to a portion of her sons’ paychecks.

I got an iPad (my first) for an early birthday gift from my husband. I've been trying to set up things on there so I can eventually retire my fading Chromebook. I have had an iPhone for years and here is the thing I noticed. When I go from the iPad to the iPhone, the iPhone looks so small, like ridiculously so. It reminds me of when you bring a newborn home and suddenly your toddler looks huge. That's kind of the opposite, but it's the same principle!

We received the bigger, stainless steel with sides litter box and so far, so good for dear Leo! In other news, probably a year ago, my husband and I were taking a walk down a nearby street when we passed a man walking a beautiful, light brown pit bull. That sweet dog took an instant liking to us and tried to follow us. The owner joked that we "could have her". I wish! Sadly, our HOA has a stupid rule against pitties! Plus at the time, we still had our senior cat who HATED dogs. I walk down that street nearly every day and haven't seen her again. I think she was named Kaia, or something like that. Yesterday my husband and I took a walk and there she was, standing in an empty lot, with the leash held by her owner. This time he just smiled at us and took her in another direction. But Kaia just kept staring at us. I couldn't help but wonder if she was supposed to be our dog, or at least my husband's. She seems inordinately attracted to us. Now we have another cat and we have no idea how he feels about dogs. I can't stop thinking about her and wondering if there is a dog distribution system like the cat system that brought us our Leo. Although her owner seems to care for her, I can't stop thinking about her! I'm going to keep on walking by her house!

He's like the Duggar version of Forrest Gump.

He is doing well. He makes us laugh every day, except when he dumps his litter box. That hasn't happened for a few days and the new box is coming today. 🤞- here's hoping it works! @Mindthinkr - thanks for the hilarious comics!

If Joy & Austin do move to LA even temporarily, I hope they post lots of videos. I used to enjoy the Beverly Hillbillies and that could be an updated version I would watch!

I finally watched the video about a typical Dillard day. It seems like Jill is still not a morning person and Derick helps with that by bringing her coffee! It always surprises me how the Duggar girls all sound so much alike! I do feel sorry for the older boys having such isolated schooling. I wonder if the home schooling is more like remote learning through their school system? At least they're really doing schooling, unlike the Rodrigues family. It doesn't seem like Finna is in the house much, at least not the day she filmed. I wonder if the car accident and her subsequent pain is the reason Derick does a lot of the driving? It may even be the reason for home schooling. I hope she's happy.

Update on my naughty cat and his litter box dumping: He did it again! So we ordered a heavier, stainless steel litter box. I suspect he just has trouble navigating due to his size. I've noticed that he's a bit clumsy when he jumps up on the counter. Or maybe he's a brat! Whatever the cause, I hope this heavier litter box thwarts him!

I just realized that this kind of bs lecture from Jill, based on nothing but taking a walk, is exactly the kind of crap my narc sister posts on FB. My sister is a better writer, thanks to a real education. Sis also doesn't invoke the Bible, but otherwise it is so similar. It's one reason I left FB. I just couldn't watch her self-serving crap any longer. Jill does this to receive accolades from the few who buy what she's selling.
