  1. Thank you, you articulated that better than I could. Kensi is going to hate this. Of that I'm absolutely sure and I would expect nothing less. I expect that she's probably going to push (and over-do) the rehab and she's probably going to refuse to accept that the limits might be permanent (although since DR isn't leaving the show, we know they aren't). As I said above, she probably going to refuse visitors now as she doesn't want anyone to see her less than 100% and I can't really blame her there. She's never let Callen or Sam so much as see her cry, let alone as impaired she appears to be right now. I just really don't want it to blow up her relationship with Deeks although I'm sure there will be conflict as they figure out their new (at least for now) normal.
  2. $10 says once Kensi is more aware, she's going to insist on no visitors until she's doing better and knows if she'll recover fully or not. I can see her not wanting anyone to see her limited (for lack of a better word). Deeks and maybe her mom excepted of course.
  3. God I hope this doesn't turn into Deeks and Kensi being back at square one! I mean, I get it. She's just waking up and it's going to be a long recovery (wouldn't be good maternity cover otherwise) and I appreciate the producers not showing her shrugging off those types of injuries. But at the same time, I don't want a full season of "leave me alone until I recover versus please let me help you". It took 5 1/2 years to get them to move forward and I'm really liking it so far. Please don't backslide. That being said, the actors did a great job with it. Deeks mom is exhausting! No wonder he keeps her separate from his work life. I completely understand now why he didn't call her when he got shot. I'm wondering if ECO filmed most of those scenes in advance (meaning the shot at the office and outside the hospital, I know the ones in Kensi's room were pre-shot). I think this ep was shot around the time his new daughter was born and I assume he'd take at least a little time off. Nice to see Carl again, although he does need to get shanked and soon for saying what he did about Aiden. Sam has far more self-control than I do. And yay, progress with the mole story. I thought more time had passed. Hetty's deal with Sec Def was for 90 days and today was only day 83. Meaning it's been only a week since she got back from DC? At least that means Kensi hasn't been comatose as long as I thought. No real thoughts about Anna. I think she knocks Callen off his game a little, which is fun to watch. And Nell is loosing up about working with Granger. I liked her in the bike shop, taking the flirting in stride while Granger was getting more and more annoyed.
  4. It was nice to see the armored bulldozer was not the centerpiece, the way the promo monkeys kept showing. Glad Adam is out of jail. He and Kono are just so cute and happy. I though the dialog about gun control was pretty heavy-handed but I'm glad it was said. I do agree with Danny's outlook but since this isn't a political forum, I'm not taking it futher. The whining was kept to a minimum this week and Danny for the win, talking the guy down. I can't imagine being the parent of a mass shooter and the pain that guy must have been living in. It's not an excuse for anything but I can see how the guy is desperate to find some outlet for his grief and guilt.
  5. I hear John's voice in my head reading this and nearly died laughing. On a serious note, I'm actually feeling sorry for the comedians that have to keep dealing with and trying to make funny all this stuff. I have to imagine that somewhere Jon Stewart is on his knees in gratitude that he is not on the Daily Show right now or he might have had a stroke. Jon Oliver, Samantha Bee, Seth Meyers and all the rest will need a vacation after this.
  6. As awkward as it is to try to keep them together as these people are all moving in two different places in their lives, it's also very true to life. People get married, have babies, change jobs, etc. Friend groups do change and your dynamic from 10 years ago is not going to be your dynamic today. I think it feels more real this way, then if they were doing the Seinfeld thing where after nearly a decade nothing has changed. That would be just sad. Howard should move out of his mom's house, so you should act more like a human,. Leonard should be developing more self-esteem, Raj - well I don't know what the heck's going on with him.
  7. No, no she's not. I was born and raised here. Nothing against Ms. Burke but she is not an area icon or anything.
  8. I like that Sheldon is aware that there are some people you don't cross. Penny is one, his mother is another. Amy is well on her way as well.
  9. I loved how Rogelio didn't bat at eyelash at Xo's secret, just sweetly promised to be there for her. A very nice moment.
  10. I really do wonder how much of the man-child was his Mom's influence rather than his real personality. Debbie seemed very vested in keeping him her baby boy.
  11. Wow I totally missed that! Congrats to them.
  12. Aside from Raj and Stewart being creepy, in the hot tub I liked all of our story lines tonight. It was nice to see Howard not only reading and understanding the baby books, but actively trying to comfort Bernadette as well. Sheldon walking in on his dad was so sad and I think explains a lot about him. It's really nice to see him and Amy trying so hard with each other, and knowing it's because they truly want the other to be happy. Leonard and Penny as the Greek chorus continues to be very funny. And I really like the gender swap in that Leonard is helping Amy while Penny deals with Sheldon.
  13. When did Kensi get accused of being a bad driver? Callen has been tagged as one, to the point that he had to go to traffic school back in Season 1 (Hetty was pretty gleeful about not letting him get out of it), but I don't remember anything about Kensi's driving. I think it's a nice nod to the overall team friendship that Nell feels weird about taking Kensi's place. Talk about awkward. It's not like last time, when it was clearly a temporary thing because Kensi was on assignment. Everyone knew she was coming back. This time, she's hurt and badly. There are no guarantees she'll return and Nell might be feeling that taking the slot is like admitting that there is good chance Kensi won't be okay. After seeing next week's promo, I wonder if the person that Deeks says needs help is his Mom? Roberta has always struck me as slightly unstable and if she's now having issues, he might be saying he just can't handle that as well right now without taking leave from work. Which gets ECO out for an episode or 2, since he and his wife are expecting their second child any day now and he presumably needs a week or two off. Hetty has not earned that moment at all. And in my head, she was either texting Deeks or chasing down the hall about 2 nano-seconds later. Following purposeful commands was a huge step forward and the appropriate medical personnel need to be notified as well.
  14. Me either. Especially since the 2 shows have crossed over (and I liked it, I thought they meshed well together). Claire has now done multiple arcs on each, which really takes me out it. I get seeing actors in one-off roles appearing on different shows but I wish casting would be more careful with larger roles. I do hope that since the killer ended up in Beverly Hills, we somehow get another NCIS:LA crossover out of it. I'd love to see Sam and Steve working together. I actually loved CF as a coroner on CSI:New York but I'm pretty meh here. I think part of the problem is her accent. She's a Brit and her natural accent is wonderful, however she's very emotionally flat as an American.
  15. Which means Baby W should be making an appearance sometime in November.
  16. Not to try to inject too much reality here, but the method of the kill is a deep part of a serial killer's psyche. Not that I am a serial killer, but I can understand how needing to carry out the ritual in a certain way is the whole point of doing it in the first place. Not that that makes killing okay!
  17. Yeah, I caught the last half hour and I agree with you. Fortunately, I don't think Granger would go there. To me that scene felt like him realizing it was one of those times when he had to pretend to be human and interact with world in a non 'extremely terse' manner. I don't think he was expecting to run into Julia and the whole thing just got awkward. I did like him telling Nell to just call him Granger. Not happy Hetty got the hand squeeze. She had better have gone after Deeks before he got out of the building. I'll have to reserve commentary on the first half until after I see it! Stupid CBS. Can't wait for football season to be over. Maybe we'll get lucky and Bull will tank, leaving a 9 pm slot available on Tuesdays.
  18. Am I crazy? I thought the start time for this was 8:30. I missed half the episode!
  19. Maybe doing all those stunts wasn't a great idea? I guess we have an end date now.
  20. I'm glad the short hair is gone. That short look was not good for her.
  21. That something that I never thought of but it makes sense. Both David Faustino and Christina Applegate to this day will talk about how wonderful and nurturing the set of Married with Children was for them.
  22. I think Bernie certainly has some traits similar to Mrs. Wolowitz, but she is much less inclined to put with Howard's crap. She clearly expects him to pull his weight around the house and she doesn't treat him like a child. Nor does she guilt trip him the way his mother did. Howard might have been acting the man-child for quite sometime but his mother was clearly encouraging it. No way does Bernie go for that. I'm really hoping they have a girl though.
