  1. No, no she's not. I was born and raised here. Nothing against Ms. Burke but she is not an area icon or anything.
  2. I like that Sheldon is aware that there are some people you don't cross. Penny is one, his mother is another. Amy is well on her way as well.
  3. I loved how Rogelio didn't bat at eyelash at Xo's secret, just sweetly promised to be there for her. A very nice moment.
  4. I really do wonder how much of the man-child was his Mom's influence rather than his real personality. Debbie seemed very vested in keeping him her baby boy.
  5. Wow I totally missed that! Congrats to them.
  6. Aside from Raj and Stewart being creepy, in the hot tub I liked all of our story lines tonight. It was nice to see Howard not only reading and understanding the baby books, but actively trying to comfort Bernadette as well. Sheldon walking in on his dad was so sad and I think explains a lot about him. It's really nice to see him and Amy trying so hard with each other, and knowing it's because they truly want the other to be happy. Leonard and Penny as the Greek chorus continues to be very funny. And I really like the gender swap in that Leonard is helping Amy while Penny deals with Sheldon.
  7. When did Kensi get accused of being a bad driver? Callen has been tagged as one, to the point that he had to go to traffic school back in Season 1 (Hetty was pretty gleeful about not letting him get out of it), but I don't remember anything about Kensi's driving. I think it's a nice nod to the overall team friendship that Nell feels weird about taking Kensi's place. Talk about awkward. It's not like last time, when it was clearly a temporary thing because Kensi was on assignment. Everyone knew she was coming back. This time, she's hurt and badly. There are no guarantees she'll return and Nell might be feeling that taking the slot is like admitting that there is good chance Kensi won't be okay. After seeing next week's promo, I wonder if the person that Deeks says needs help is his Mom? Roberta has always struck me as slightly unstable and if she's now having issues, he might be saying he just can't handle that as well right now without taking leave from work. Which gets ECO out for an episode or 2, since he and his wife are expecting their second child any day now and he presumably needs a week or two off. Hetty has not earned that moment at all. And in my head, she was either texting Deeks or chasing down the hall about 2 nano-seconds later. Following purposeful commands was a huge step forward and the appropriate medical personnel need to be notified as well.
  8. Me either. Especially since the 2 shows have crossed over (and I liked it, I thought they meshed well together). Claire has now done multiple arcs on each, which really takes me out it. I get seeing actors in one-off roles appearing on different shows but I wish casting would be more careful with larger roles. I do hope that since the killer ended up in Beverly Hills, we somehow get another NCIS:LA crossover out of it. I'd love to see Sam and Steve working together. I actually loved CF as a coroner on CSI:New York but I'm pretty meh here. I think part of the problem is her accent. She's a Brit and her natural accent is wonderful, however she's very emotionally flat as an American.
  9. Which means Baby W should be making an appearance sometime in November.
  10. Not to try to inject too much reality here, but the method of the kill is a deep part of a serial killer's psyche. Not that I am a serial killer, but I can understand how needing to carry out the ritual in a certain way is the whole point of doing it in the first place. Not that that makes killing okay!
  11. Yeah, I caught the last half hour and I agree with you. Fortunately, I don't think Granger would go there. To me that scene felt like him realizing it was one of those times when he had to pretend to be human and interact with world in a non 'extremely terse' manner. I don't think he was expecting to run into Julia and the whole thing just got awkward. I did like him telling Nell to just call him Granger. Not happy Hetty got the hand squeeze. She had better have gone after Deeks before he got out of the building. I'll have to reserve commentary on the first half until after I see it! Stupid CBS. Can't wait for football season to be over. Maybe we'll get lucky and Bull will tank, leaving a 9 pm slot available on Tuesdays.
  12. Am I crazy? I thought the start time for this was 8:30. I missed half the episode!
  13. Maybe doing all those stunts wasn't a great idea? I guess we have an end date now.
  14. I'm glad the short hair is gone. That short look was not good for her.
  15. That something that I never thought of but it makes sense. Both David Faustino and Christina Applegate to this day will talk about how wonderful and nurturing the set of Married with Children was for them.
  16. I think Bernie certainly has some traits similar to Mrs. Wolowitz, but she is much less inclined to put with Howard's crap. She clearly expects him to pull his weight around the house and she doesn't treat him like a child. Nor does she guilt trip him the way his mother did. Howard might have been acting the man-child for quite sometime but his mother was clearly encouraging it. No way does Bernie go for that. I'm really hoping they have a girl though.
  17. What's funny to me is that LA is to me the better show. I find it funnier, with better characters and storytelling.
  18. I think there has been an unacknowledged time jump. Bernadette is showing just like she should for someone who announced a pregnancy around Valentines day. I loved seeing Leonard and Penny being goofy and having fun together. We don't get much of that.
  19. This show has been bad about the DC connection since the end of season 2. I could swear it's actually something to do with the show runners on the Mothership, not ours but don't quote me on that. I always thought it was strange that the Mothership, at the end of their season 9 when the Navy Yard got blown up, that we never heard any mention of it here. Or when director Vance's wife was killed. Or when the previous Sec Nav was killed. Those seem like the types of things that need to be mentioned.
  20. Sheldon has come so far. He is genuinely trying to compromise and be a good partner with Amy. I love how he came to Penny's for advice. Would the Sheldon of 2 or 3 seasons ago have even entertained the idea? I continue to be pleasantly surprised by the sensitivity and maturity being displayed in the evolution of Sheldon and Amy's relationship. What do Howard or Bernadette even tell Raj about doctors appointments? He is seriously creepy and unhealthy.
  21. Raj so massively crossed the line this time. I was waiting for Howard or Bernadette to absolutely lose it on him.
  22. In this episode I do not mind Bernadette so clearly being irritated. Raj was working my last nerve from the get-go. Letting himself into the house and insinuating far too deeply into their lives is crossing into the very creepy place. Announcing that he's going to be in the delivery room is even weirder, especially when he wouldn't take the very clear no for an answer. He wasn't being nice to Bernadette, he was pushing and pushing and pushing his own agenda. She made it clear that she would get to the baby's room and such in her own good time, he's the one pushing the point. It is not his kid and he needs to back off! This is the same guy that was lusting after her very openly right before she and Howard got engaged. Just all around weird and in this scenario I'm cool with Bernadette snapping at him all she wants.
