  1. I have very little sympathy for Margaret here. If she is truly in love with Peter, then two years is not that long to wait. Elizabeth did have to wait a similar amount of time before she married Philip. And given that Margaret was raised as a member of the royal family and lived through the abdication crisis she should certainly understand the delicate hand that will be required for her to marry a divorced man. It really does speak to both her self-centeredness and a certain amount of naivete that she doesn't seem to realize this. It isn't as though Peter was sent into exile. They are able to write to each other and call each other. And if discreet, a few visits could probably be arranged too as well.
  2. I could swear I read rumors somewhere of Prince Phillip being discretely unfaithful but I could be wrong.
  3. Geez! All that speculation about if Granger was ill turned out to be true. Did they say exactly what was wrong? Or just that oblique reference to Agent Orange? Given the MRI and the more noticeable slur in his speech I'm thinking a brain tumor of some sort. I think it's time to call in Nate for Kensi. She needs counseling and given how hard she is going to resist it, someone who knows her and knows when she's glossing over stuff will be much more effective. She also needs it pointed out that taking risks with therapy while she can't feel pain in part of her body is pretty much asking to injure herself further. That was a bad cut from falling and she didn't even know she'd done it. As much as I wish otherwise, I don't think Deeks will be the one to get through to her about focusing on recovery and moving forward. He's too close to the situation. Ultimately I think that will be received better coming from Sam or Callen. There is something to be said for emotional distance and right now I think that Deeks and Kensi aren't communicating well. It's not anyone's fault but Deek's determination to be cheerful and assume that Kensi will recover fully is very much at odds with Kensi's current and very-much-more pessimistic view. I think bits of conflict will continue to flare between them until emotions settle a bit and each can both hear *and accept* what the other is saying. It's rather ingenious really, the way that DR's maternity leave coverage has been written to reduce ECO's need to be on set as well. Since about half his scenes were shot in advance I would assume he's able to reduce his work time given he's also got a new daughter at home. And to tie it all together, if ECO is not doing a lot of the chasing/shoot out/what have you scenes at the moment, then his stunt-double (also known as Dani's husband) gets more time off as well for the other new baby. Nicely done show. Also nice to see some of Sam's SEAL training in action. I do like seeing skills in use, not just mentioned in passing. Loved Granger snarking about Callen's psych history making him perfect for the undercover op. And my heart melted just a little when Granger immediately dismissed Deeks doing the op, because he had personal obligations to fulfill. And it made sense. They have no idea how long it might potentially last and he'll be stuck there the whole time. Let Mr. Lone Wolf go instead.
  4. After having watched the show again, I'm really struck by all of the little things that point out how much Sheldon has changed over the years. For example he easily kisses Amy when they are going to bed, he's no longer wedded to his particular dinner schedule, he allowed the group to shut him down about his old bedroom and he actually said Thank you without being prompted to the guys for being his house band on Fun With Flags.
  5. The actress was not fired, she elected to leave the show. And I'm not sure what you mean by McGarrett screwing things up between. He was never anything but supportive of her career choices, he begged her not to run off in Afghanistan and when she came back for Kono's wedding he welcomed he with open arms, ready to pop the question. He never tried to make her choose, in fact he didn't even know she was leaving because of the CIA. He did quite rightfully say he wasn't going to wait and why should he? Cath doesn't get to go in and out of his life on a whim and Steve's allow to say he wants more than that. Even now when she showed back up on his doorstep it was awkward but he wasn't mean or rejecting of her. While I wouldn't be surprised to find out Yao and Doris had a relationship, Wo Fat is not their son. Steve suspected as such at least 2 seasons ago and had Max check the DNA. There was no genetic connections between the two of the, which means Wo Fat is not related to Doris.
  6. Weed is used for pain management. Probably any doctor could prescribe.
  7. I really liked this episode. Sheldon is just growing by leaps and bounds. I think he's finally realizing that it's okay to loosen up a bit, when you find the person worth loosening up for. I don't think he'd do this for anyone but Amy. And I love how Amy makes adjustments for him but keeps some boundaries as well, something Leonard very rarely achieved. I love how Sheldon and Leonard switched to Klingon to talk in front of the girls.
  8. I think it's because accents are hard to hold, no matter how good you are at them. Once his identity was revealed there was no need to hold the accent. And I was already suspicious before he dropped it since he was using words like spanner and flat instead of wrench and apartment.
  9. I don't think they'll draw out Kensi being hurt any long than they have to. I wasn't surprised by that scene, in fact I was sort of expecting it. I don't think Kensi had really been told the extent of her injuries when she first work up. This is probably the first time she's ever been injured like this and until that point had probably been expecting the doctor to say she'd be down a month or two, then back a 100% and her life goes on. 4-6 months of rehab with no guarantees is a blow and something she's still processing. It is going to take time to for her to come to terms with her new life and the uncertainty of not knowing what is going to happen. She may very well be looking at the end of her career and completely change of lifestyle. And that is not something she can handle right now. I love how Deeks is being so supportive but now he's going to have to figure out a different kind of supportive. Until now, the focus has been on Kensi waking up. I don't think he's had time to really think about what comes next and since she woke up, he's of course going to be optimistic because it's such an improvement from where she was a couple of days ago. I think Kensi probably would have reacted better if he's said he wasn't sure what was going to happen but that for now, to focus on the physical therapy. I think it was the 'you'll be fine, even better than before' that really got to her because he doesn't know that and it at least appears he's somewhat in denial about potential permanent impairment.
  10. Good episode but Casting really needs to pay more attention. The Mossad guy (the actor I mean) did an arc on Mothership. As a member of Mossad, working in the Kidon unit. Very jarring to see essentially the same character with a different name. Lovely scene between Granger and Deeks Glad Anna was with Nell this week instead of Callen. Loved the football jerseys with the aliases on them. Mr Carl is back!
  11. To be fair that was Howard feeling the baby for the first time. Bernie has probably been feeling it for awhile now. Some babies are shy little boogers. My nephew turned my sister-in-law black-and-blue on the inside but let anyone lay a hand on her stomach and he'd stop immediately. No one really felt him except her. My brother got a few feels but less than you'd think.
  12. I thought it was totally fair that Amy cleaned up. She's the one that wanted to entertain in the first place. Sheldon did all of the prepping, cleaning and set up. Yes, that is because he wanted to surprise her which actually means Amy cleaning up makes even more sense. If someone went to all that trouble to step outside their comfort zone and set up a lovely surprise for me, you can bet I'm not going to be annoyed at cleaning up.
  13. My theory continues to be she's acting out due to her mother lying about Charlie's parentage. Grace was about 12 when Rachel came clean and I imagine it was a quite a shock. At that age she is well aware of the mechanics and implications. If Mom lies about something this important, what else is she lying about? Mom and Dad had an affair while Mom was married to someone else. Rachel and Stan might have divorced by now, which would also cause a great deal of upheaval. Clearly custody arrangements have been made for Charlie, since he is now calling Danny "Danno/Daddy" and spending time with him. All of this started because Charlie was very ill, which is it's own kind of stress (he was in the hospital when she snuck out last Halloween). Grace now has to share her father as well as her mother with a much younger sibling. Until now Danno has just been hers. And that is all on top of the regular teenage girl drama, hormones and general upheaval.
  14. Grace is annoying for sure but her behavior is one of the few realistic elements for the show. 14 year old girls are not know for being lovely rays of sunshine. And I'd imagine that some of it is stemming from learning her mom lied about her brother and now having to share Danny with Charlie.
  15. No wonder Clementine never seemed to think Tylers' family was strange. Look at where she came from!
  16. Me too! I was not expecting it, as she didn't have head trauma (she was conscious and lucid after the crash) and I'm very glad they didn't go there.
  17. Not if Leonard has anything to say about it. He mentioned changing the locks in the last episode.
  18. I don't think Howard is being an ass. A bit thoughtless yes, but all he's trying to do is get ready for the baby. A baby he's excited and enthusiastic for. Yes, a mini van is a huge purchase but he didn't buy it, he was doing a test drive. And they may need it. Car seats are pretty bulky and babies tend mean lots of stuff to transport. As far as crib shopping without Bernadette goes, she hasn't been shown as really into it and they do need a crib. I think the only mistake was taking Raj with him. If I'm Bernie I'd be happy Howard was excited and involved. Especially since the pregnancy was unexpected.
  19. I'm probably giving the writers too much credit here but I see the separate storylines as a way to illustrate that as life goes on, the group will grow apart. Love Sheldon making the effort for Amy. Not just having a gathering but doing the work, dressing appropriately and genuinely making an effort without anyone prompting him.
  20. My heart nearly broke for Eustace. Whatever happened to that budding friendship between him and Junior?
  21. I didn't freeze frame my screen to see that ;-) Besides, just because Kensi listed her mom as a work emergency contact/next of kin, doesn't mean should couldn't have also authorized Deeks to hold a medical POA for her as well. Also, I've had more time to ruminate about Roberta. I think that for all she loves her son (and she does, that is clear), there is a reason she is kept out of his day-to-day life. She just can't handle it. I'm thinking that whatever her husband put her through it's had a lasting and damaging effect. I'm not saying she can't function as an adult but she clearly doesn't handle conflict well and appears to speak without thinking a great deal of the time. Which is funny when Sam wants his in-laws distracted over Christmas but not so much when someone is in the hospital. I absolutely understand now why Deeks didn't call her when he got shot and why I'd put money she's still not his emergency contact. I think Deeks loves his mom and would do anything for her but he is very much the adult in the relationship.
  22. I'm going with that Sam84. Or Kensi and Deeks were smart enough to filled out medical POA/HIPPA paperwork for each other. Deeks is an attorney who would probably think of such a thing and they both work a dangerous profession. I'd be shocked if NCIS didn't require that agents keep that kind of paperwork on file and updated yearly.
  23. Thank you, you articulated that better than I could. Kensi is going to hate this. Of that I'm absolutely sure and I would expect nothing less. I expect that she's probably going to push (and over-do) the rehab and she's probably going to refuse to accept that the limits might be permanent (although since DR isn't leaving the show, we know they aren't). As I said above, she probably going to refuse visitors now as she doesn't want anyone to see her less than 100% and I can't really blame her there. She's never let Callen or Sam so much as see her cry, let alone as impaired she appears to be right now. I just really don't want it to blow up her relationship with Deeks although I'm sure there will be conflict as they figure out their new (at least for now) normal.
  24. $10 says once Kensi is more aware, she's going to insist on no visitors until she's doing better and knows if she'll recover fully or not. I can see her not wanting anyone to see her limited (for lack of a better word). Deeks and maybe her mom excepted of course.
  25. God I hope this doesn't turn into Deeks and Kensi being back at square one! I mean, I get it. She's just waking up and it's going to be a long recovery (wouldn't be good maternity cover otherwise) and I appreciate the producers not showing her shrugging off those types of injuries. But at the same time, I don't want a full season of "leave me alone until I recover versus please let me help you". It took 5 1/2 years to get them to move forward and I'm really liking it so far. Please don't backslide. That being said, the actors did a great job with it. Deeks mom is exhausting! No wonder he keeps her separate from his work life. I completely understand now why he didn't call her when he got shot. I'm wondering if ECO filmed most of those scenes in advance (meaning the shot at the office and outside the hospital, I know the ones in Kensi's room were pre-shot). I think this ep was shot around the time his new daughter was born and I assume he'd take at least a little time off. Nice to see Carl again, although he does need to get shanked and soon for saying what he did about Aiden. Sam has far more self-control than I do. And yay, progress with the mole story. I thought more time had passed. Hetty's deal with Sec Def was for 90 days and today was only day 83. Meaning it's been only a week since she got back from DC? At least that means Kensi hasn't been comatose as long as I thought. No real thoughts about Anna. I think she knocks Callen off his game a little, which is fun to watch. And Nell is loosing up about working with Granger. I liked her in the bike shop, taking the flirting in stride while Granger was getting more and more annoyed.
