  1. I think either Goodwin or Bob will buy out Toesie Woesies (sp?), since they seem to be having problems, and take it from there. Hated the Bob and the Boat contrivance. Drop it. Bob and Uncle Tunde in the supermarket was a lot more fun! They seem to be softening Abishola up a bit. Too many fans wondering why they stay together? Like an Asian actor, for instance?
  2. Interesting interview with show creator Chris Sheridan after the recap. A few spoilery things from him, but nothing huge. Things should get very interesting next season! https://tvline.com/2022/09/28/resident-alien-recap-season-2-episode-16-ben-kate-abducted/
  3. Trevor! Noooooo! Ahhhhhh! 🥲 Actually, I sorta sensed this coming. It seemed he didn't want to be tied to the Daily Show desk much longer. Still, I'll miss his intelligent and thoughtful commentary on so many terrible things going on in our world. Now, the question is: when is he leaving and who will replace him? Sam Bee? 🤞
  4. He's diabetic and open about it. I figure the weight loss has to do with that and wanting to live longer. He did lose a lot pretty quickly; he may have had bariatric surgery, too.
  5. Hmm. So the Greys have Ben (since he was probably hybridized at some point) and the "missing" baby. My question is: why didn't they take Max, too? He's clearly a hybrid. At least those of us who thought Ben was the Tracker's missing son were half right. (Sounds like Tak-gray will be around next season, too). I'm glad Harry sent baby home in the pod. The story was played out, but I'm sure it's not the last we'll see of Bridget. I love that Sahar made an octopus toy for Bridget with a little Hijab to remember her by. Also liked her good-bye speech. Redeemed! Enver is the new Deputy. Clearly a grey. This could get very interesting, especially if his legs give out! At least we get to keep him. And now, Linda Hamilton is an ally. Who'da thunk? D'arcy was exceptionally needy here. Sheesh! Bet you 10 to 1 she'll blow Harry's cover in S3E1! So now, we wait... ⏳
  6. Only Max and the Tracker could see him as an alien when he was "masking" as Harry. When he's in his natural alien form, everyone can see he's an alien.
  7. and Yep. I was thinking I had these in the 50s (eep!) when we stayed with my Grandparents (also NYC area). No one in the following generations liked them! And with chocolate? Ick. I don't give a fig for a newton, either! I liked Janusz's mask biscuit a lot. I think he's becoming my favorite.
  8. Dangit. I had money on the Mayor being Alien Tracker's son. Made sense to me, he's got some sort of Alien DNA or implant thing going. Still, seems like Ben's been abducted more than once. I figured that's why Max can see Harry and alien artifacts, some sort of inherited thing. Could still be. More fun than the blinkin' resort plot. Not happy they killed off the Alien Tracker. Am glad they released the "aliens" who mostly weren't aliens at all. I hope they don't leave too much hanging in the last episode for this season.
  9. Now that just made my day! I've had the finale down for 9/14 for ages. I am soooo happy. 😍
  10. Oh, my!! 😉 Where do we go from here? I have a theory about a bunch of stuff, but we don't have a topic for that. I feel badly for Asta finding out she had a crap-ass birth mom, but being raised by Dan saved her (he was right to keep the info from her). She'll figure that out soon enough. At least she cares deeply about Jay and everyone else in her life. Even a pain-in-the-ass alien! Nice for D'arcy to do well in her competition. I always thought she was downhill, but she's freestyle and moguls, etc. Of course. That makes total sense. I hope she doesn't self-destruct on her way to Vail, but being D'arcy she probably will. I wonder who the skiing double for her was. Still, that bit was pretty much filler. Only one three more eps, but at least we have a third season to look forward to. Can't get here soon enough!
  11. You're telling me. I couldn't log in to AMC+ at all until it was over. Pissed as hell. Probably too many folks logged in for the finale and the site couldn't handle the numbers. I don't think so. She said her bar card didn't have an expiration date [on the card]. She still has the card and used it to gain access. Yup. But I bet 10 to 1 that Jimmy McGill is the #1 jailhouse lawyer and that saves his butt from getting shivved. I'm pretty sure AMC was just advertising new shows with Esposito and Odenkirk, not that they were spin-offs of BB or BCS.
  12. D'arcy said in an interview that the apple pie in the date scene was laced with a ton of garlic by the crew as a prank. Then she had to kiss the poor guy! I feel bad for Jay with Asta missing the birthday outing due to Harry's good intentions.
  13. Let's leave all the frozen food on the floor to defrost while we eff around with the key. Even though we have money problems. 🙄
  14. This article explains some things in Episode 5, but I'm still confused. Must watch again: https://www.tvinsider.com/1055904/the-resort-episode-5-alex-time-travel-ben-sinclair-andy-siara-peacock/
  15. It's true. Bob Odenkirk was on The View (reason I watched) today and he said that Walter and Jessie will be seen more in the upcoming episodes. No details.
  16. That, for me, was one of the highlights of the series. Mine, too. The women running through the desert was so joyful, you just had to feel good. I loved it! I did like the series, though. The final episode was my least favorite, but we get another season, so I'm looking forward to that.
  17. Totally robbed. Bloody hell, Barry isn't even a comedy anymore, it's a depressing drama. Sucks.
  18. Ghosts completely snubbed by the Emmys. 🤬 https://tvline.com/lists/emmy-nominations-2022-list-awards/
  19. You can get Britbox without going through Prime.
  20. My favorite parts of Ep3 is the slowly developing romantic interest between Chee and Manuelito. I think it's being handled nicely. At least for my taste! That and the women running through the desert during the Kinaalda. They were so joyful! Even though I grew up in the area, this is a new one for me. I used to love running through the desert like that as a young woman. Apparently it's a 4 day ceremony and they run each day. I'm fascinated! Already saw Ep4 and the series just keeps getting better. Sadly, only 6 eps, but happily it's been renewed for a second season!
  21. Mine, too. You would probably love his YouTube bits called "What's Eating Dan?" Interesting and sometimes hilarious!
  22. I watched these back in the day and am rewatching just for the hell of it. I love Wes Studi, but have always found Adam Beach rather bland. He does well enough here, though. All three PBS eps are available free on YouTube: Skinwalkers, Thief of Time, and Coyote Waits.
  23. I've watched the first two episodes on AMC+ (cheap deal earlier in the year). So far, I'm enjoying it. I read almost all of the Hillerman novels waaay back when they came out, but it's been so long I don't remember much of any of them other than the characters. So it's all new again! I grew up in the area and was concerned it was being produced by two very white guys, but the number of indigenous actors, writers, and crew members is making it very interesting. Looking forward to episode 3 for sure! Sadly there are only 6 episodes in all.
  24. Peacock has another Warren Jeffs documentary, Preaching Evil: a Wife on the Run. This one mostly from the viewpoint of his wife/scribe Naomi, whose record keeping helped put him away. She was originally one of Rulon's wives that Warren "inherited." Some think she should also be in jail for the role she played, but she does make some good points. Hard to say. Now, I think I've had enough of Jeffs to last the rest of his life. Looking forward to the obit.
  25. 'Star Trek: Strange New Worlds': Jesse James Keitel Lands Guest Role https://variety.com/2022/tv/news/jesse-james-keitel-star-trek-strange-new-worlds-1235287061/ Her roles just keep getting better!
