Commercials That Annoy, Irritate or Outright Enrage
Ms Lark replied to Maverick's topic in Commercials
Talking about old commercials. The one most women hated, even back then, was about Geritol (basically an energy potion back in the olden days). Guy says, "My wife, I think I'll keep her." Hardy har har. Now, you die! -

Commercials That Annoy, Irritate or Outright Enrage
Ms Lark replied to Maverick's topic in Commercials
Experian commercial with rich-ass MF Ewan McGregor telling us to not spend money on more stuff. In this economy, not a problem asshole. I do want to see all the crap in his house though. -
I figured it was a way around copyrights and royalties! 😏 I will miss this show until it's back. They will be filming during the summer, though, so??? https://deadline.com/2022/04/ghosts-joe-wiseman-joe-port-hunt-season-2-1235006939/ Maybe a head trauma enabling that until he heals by the second episode?

Food Network and Cooking Channel: One is about food
Ms Lark replied to HyeChaps's topic in Network Talk
Which is 90% of the reason why I rarely watch Food Network anymore. Gross and disgusting. Nothin' like watching someone shove something twice the size of their head into their nasty mouth. How do you taste anything gloming that crap around. No wonder his restaurants get such bad reviews: he's got no palate! Yeah, gross. Waaay back before she went on Food Network, I used to enjoy her blog. Now I can't stand the breath out of her. So annoying and prissy. I have never been able to reconcile that in my mind at all! If you lie on your resume you get fired. WTF? And now for something positive: I totally enjoyed the Julia Child Challenge. Love Julia, loved the tribute to her. They need to introduce more shows like that. Take a clue from GBBO! Dump the piggy boys and bring on the talented cooks/chefs with their lovely demeanors and attitudes. -
Death In Paradise - General Discussion
Ms Lark replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Death In Paradise
Neville doesn't just have allergies, he's exceedingly self-absorbed among other things. You can have him. Chacun à son goût. Come to think of it, I don't believe I even mentioned allergies nor did I say anything about anyone who is not a fictional character on a TV show. -

Have not seen s11 (DMV gets it on WETA UK starting tomorrow 5/20 at 9), but I'm happy to be spoilered about this. For one thing, he's her boss. WTF? For another, I just can't imagine Florence, or anyone for that matter, wanting to get with Neville! He's such a bundle of neuroses and other idiosyncrasies it renders him quite unattractive. Glad to know it ain't happening. -
Murdoch Mysteries - General Discussion

Season 15, Episode 8 - Murdoch Knows Best Fun episode and hey, it's Sparrow! In the US we recently had a cute, quirky, Canadian SyFy show called "Astrid and Lilly Save the World." At any rate, "Junior" was Astrid's boyfriend, "Sparrow," and appeared in most episodes. FYI: At mid-20s IRL Spencer MacPherson is hardly a teen in either show. Busy year for him. -
Not so sure Cindy isn't bipolar and off her meds. Just a thought. Al playing two women at once? A very good way to lose both! I'll be taking bets on whether Vanessa is pregnant or not. Also taking bets on "Who's the dad?"

Thus further proving Kat is totally effed up and a big pile of cat 💩. Hope she winds up alone with just the cats.

To be honest, it pretty much unfolded as I surmised, but still with plenty of surprises! Not disappointing at all. Happily and sadly, we have to wait another year for more.

Hmm. I wonder how well that will come off. Orphan Black was mostly Tatiana and her ability to play multiple roles. I was frequently bored by the stories concerning side characters. I'll give it a chance, but lightning rarely strikes twice.

Looks fun, but I can wait for streaming. Been to live theater, but all were vaxxed, masked, and security checked! Movie theaters? This old lady is not ready for that yet.

Awesome episode. "I thought you'd never ask." 😆 I'm actually surprised Trevor didn't get "sucked off" due to his act of kindness, but I'm just as glad he's still around. Sasappis for the win. What a guy. The more I think about it, the more I realize Ghosts should be nominated for a casting Emmy. I don't think there's a single miscast in the entire crew. What a great ensemble!

Heck, it's two more than I expected! All week I thought this was the season finale. Sad they're skipping next week though. Just all over the place.

Eve sure recovered from that arrow shot quickly! I'm not crazy about this season either, but I'm watching to the end for closure. I have a feeling everyone dies!

Oh my goodness! I don't know if this happened to Sunday papers in other cities, but when I picked up my Washington Post, there was a wrapper around the A Section that was Lady Whistledown's latest scandal sheet! Inside that was a photo of Penelope. The Queen was on the back inside and Anthony and the Sharma sisters were on the back. A huge full color ad for Bridgerton. I can't imagine what that cost Netflix, but it's pretty dang impressive! Also, a pleasant treat with all the bad news we have these days. Hope others got the same treatment.

Interesting. I think she's an Eagan or a Kier (if he actually had progeny) descendant. This series is one mindfuck after another! I love it.

The Julia Child Challenge - General Discussion

Ah ha! So glad to see a forum for this show. I love it! I gave up on Spring Baking because, meh. Molly is way too cute and perky and it's just been done to death. I too hate the cut-throat competitions with screaming chefs and villains. So civilized and such a tribute to Julia. Good guest chefs coming on to judge. I always liked Antonia; was one of my favs on her Top Chef season. I'm just enjoying it so much! French cooking is not my forte, but I love seeing it done well. Is the Food Network getting more selective? One can only hope! Stay true to Julia!! -
Astrid & Lilly Save The World - General Discussion

I feel the same. Originally, I only had this on because it was after Resident Alien and killed time before The Daily Show. Only half-watched. I think it's gotten better over the season and now I really enjoy it! I do hope it gets renewed, I want to see more episodes with the Buffy/Scooby Gang and Brutus! Shame there's only 2 more eps to keep it going.
