  1. I liked this one a lot, too. Will probably rewatch soon. Happy ending. Although, it does have me digging out my Sleepy Hallow series DVDs. Of the two, first season SH still wins! I was truly shocked!!! I never thought Hallmark would put a positive spin on an out-of-wedlock child story (sacre bleu!). Maybe they really are trying to get with the times and diversify (still not really diverse, though). Also, smoochies before the end of the movie. What! Are they trying to corrupt our youth with such modern ideas? [/s] Off to revisit Tom Mison and Sleepy Hollow! 🤩
  2. I sensed there was something in Seth's heart-to-heart talks with Charly/Anne. "What the hell, is he shagging this one, too?" Answer: Yep. It really draws focus away from the character and the show. Looks like she's wearing Alana/Sage's old ill-fitting costume, too. When will Seth learn you don't shag your employees? 🙄 Wonder how long this will last? What a creep. That said, I do like the rest of the cast. The Doctor, Isaac (in spite of), and Bortus especially. We'll see. I can always FF through Capt/Charly chats.
  3. Struck me as pure filler with no purpose whatsoever. Completely unnecessary character and storyline. Although, it did show that the whole family is probably very irritating each in their own way!
  4. I really wanted to see this when it came out, but still leery of going to movie theaters. The friend I was planning on going with just caught Covid (poor thing) and I won't see it without her. Plus, I'm old and have physical stuff going on, so waiting is. So, some good-ish news for those of us who aren't ready: Downton Abbey 2 may be hitting Peacock TV as soon as July 5! No promises, but FYI: https://www.businessinsider.com/guides/streaming/how-to-watch-downton-abbey-a-new-era Won't be quite the eyeful that a big screen would bring, but a lot safer! *Sigh*
  5. Good to know, but I actually did find it. Since the water cooler shows up several times, it's practically a recurring character! @shapeshifter I love the Primetimer awards. Thanks for all your hard work Kariyaki. 🌹
  6. Oh, lordy. I didn't make note of that. I'll have to poke around and see if I can find the episode! 😱
  7. Time to review my little list. Here's that reminder I promised you way back when: Best Inanimate Object/Prop: remind Shapeshifter: Water Cooler in Dr. Linkletter's office, Young Sheldon 🤣
  8. Let's call it shifty? Open to --uh-- bribes?
  9. Looks that way, doesn't it? Somehow I don't mind this one. At least she isn't a cop, even if she does work for them. 🙄 I'm glad they've made Selwyn seem less corrupt than he was originally.
  10. Call the Midwife's Helen George Back for Holiday Special and Season 12: https://tvline.com/2022/05/17/call-the-midwife-helen-george-trixie-back-christmas-special-season-12/ With photos and news about other characters, too!
  11. This is what happens when casting for Worst Cooks scrapes the bottom of the barrel in order to make fun of the mentally ill. This is the worst example, but I can think of several others.
  12. Not surprised it was cancelled. I watched the first season because it was socially relevant and thought it would give insight into the mind of an Afghan refugee. It seemed to lose its way, especially in the second season. What happened to Al's sister? Oh, she's safe, so I'll just go screw around and be an ass. And Cindy? Wow. Like she'll stick around for the long haul, which is was Al was originally looking for. Sad. It could have been so much better.
  13. Yes. It's just been renewed for a third season. Yay! More Grandma. https://deadline.com/2022/05/awkwafina-is-nora-from-queens-renewed-season-3-comedy-central-1235022223/
  14. Didn't judgemental Pastor get a divorce? Surprised they didn't run him out of town! Well, Mary. Karma's a bitch. Glad Youth Pastor pointed that out to her. They are treading on thin ice there, though. Wonder if he'll be showing up for future pastorly duties. I like Georgie's sincere efforts, but he's just too young for all this. Wasn't it? And go Missy. Glad she gave that little shit a knuckle sandwich. Team Missy/George on this one.
  15. I'm sorry for Annaleigh and all the older cast members, but not surprised. I blame Middleditch and his skeevy scandals for part of it. Should dumped him early on.
  16. Interesting article for all you Hallmark devotees: Hallmark Christmas Movies & The Strategy Behind All Those Talent Deals Under Lisa Hamilton Daly "EXCLUSIVE: Increased competition in the Christmas movie business has prompted Crown Media Family Networks to adopt a more aggressive strategy under the fresh leadership of Executive VP Lisa Hamilton Daly — locking in beloved actors with exclusive, multi-picture deals."
  17. I can't find any news, even on Twitter, but today is another rerun listed as a new episode. Wed & Thurs are listed as repeats and the show appears to be off for the following two weeks.
  18. Thanks for the info. I watched this over the weekend and it was hilarious! So many actors (and cameos) I like a lot in this movie, plus gaming. Awesome.
  19. Sounds like it depends on the laws regarding food handling in different states.
  20. Gotcha. Even the fact that they cook food in the cafe is odd. Ours is not allowed to do that, you order and they fetch the coffee and treats from a nearby shop they have an on-going business arrangement with. All those lovely cats walking everywhere and sitting on everything is against sanitation and food-handling codes. Oh, well. Shoulda stuck with the joke shop!
  21. Call Me Phil. Leslie takes over the cat cafe and that's the new show. Mayim/Kat/NotMiranda stays in France and gets written out. You know dang well that fundraiser money went toward her trip.
  22. Our local cat cafe isn't called a rescue, but they partner with local rescues. All the cats are up for adoption and they do a great job of it. Most cat cafes operate this way. We almost lost CC during Covid, but they're still afloat.
  23. BritBox typically posts on Tuesday mornings. They just posted the first two episodes of Season 11 yesterday.
  24. I'm sorry to hear that. Glad you are doing better. Rose cooking up new recipes for brains each week was my favorite part of the show! I enjoyed the earlier seasons better than the last, but I really started watching Ghosts because I liked her so much in iZombie. That and I liked the UK version, too.
