  1. Hey, in LA, that's a blizzard! I'm hoping for timey-whimey wibbly wobbly stuff(tm) reuniting them, too. I was wondering if Gavin and Blonde Girl escaped from "the cult of four fingers," but this makes more sense. How, then, did they get through the Aurora Rift to modern times? Hmm...
  2. I think I like the episodes that bring in actual historical figures the best. Liked this one better than last week's. Fond of Sontarans, but that's only because of Strax. I'm sad we won't be seeing Mme Vastra, Jenny, and Strax again. 😞 I loved that trio! It will be interesting to see how they tie all this up. Still too much going on all at once for me, though. Hard to keep track!
  3. I added reminding you to my Primetimer 2022 list. I've already got "Nadja Doll" from What We Do In The Shadows for my own nom, so I won't steal it from you, no worries! 😁
  4. Hip-hop (? Correct me if I'm wrong here.) Swan Lake choreography was brilliant! I loved that Monica had something of an epiphany on 'shrooms.
  5. Considering she's a co-creator, executive producer, and writer, there will probably be more. I think Kemi is a hoot! Can do without boring Chewie, he can go ahead and marry the cousin. Douglas on the bus was fun! Dottie came off as whack-a-doo. I like the bus driver, but what happens when she finds out that's his mom and sister? Agree, they need to find something good to do with Christina.
  6. Glad for the reboot, but would still like to have the dialysis patients around. I don't mind the "old folks" since I am one! Good casting for that! Still, it's not the first show to go there, re: Senior Living: The Cool Kids was fun, had a good cast, lasted two seasons, but didn't really take off. Ehhh, no. I cringe whenever he's in a scene, especially when they have to hug or come in close contact with him. Annaleigh doesn't need that! They should pass out full-body hazmat suits for anyone required to touch him. Don't care for his scripted Freudian slips or double entendres, either. Just makes him even more disgusting. (Cancel culture for this one, soon please!) Plus, they're bringing in DB Sweeney, but I guess he's gotten a little old for a romantic interest. We'll see!
  7. Interesting. The Prinzregententorte is a dead ringer for Smith Island Cake (Chesapeake Bay, Maryland also MD's state cake), without the fou-fou decor. The bakers compete to see who can get the most layers! I did a little research and it seems it probably came from the Prinzregententorte. It's a nice day trip and pick up a cake on your way home. Sadly, Smith Island and Tangier Island are both sinking. Young folks don't tend to stay on the islands anymore, but head for the mainland for better opportunities.
  8. Poor Grissom! Mal de debarquement (disembarkation sickness) is awful. I have a good friend who came off a cruise with it and it's still there years later. Major dizziness (without nausea, fortunately) all the time. He may have to start using walking poles to keep his balance. Enough of that! This was a good episode. Women have a hard time in the gaming industry. Even worse sexual harassment and glass ceilings than most other tech businesses. Maybe not as much as comics and animation, though. Hard to say. I knew the swords had to be either ceramic or 3d printed, probably the latter. Whole twisty thing with the mask. Gotta be careful of those quiet ones! I did think her female partner (who she was jogging with) had led her to the perp in cahoots. Loved them using gait analysis to implicate him! I can't believe anyone would think Hodges would do such a thing! I know he wasn't a favorite character, but he wouldn't do that. He had ethics and principles, if not personality.
  9. Ah, we are talking about two different characters/actresses! Caroline Lee Johnson was Jeanie Saint-Stephens, wife to Peter. Tracy-Ann Oberman was Sally Ann Barker. Guess I don't need to revisit New Tricks after all.
  10. Caroline Lee-Johnson. I knew her best as Chef Blackstock's wife, Janice, on the old BritCom Chef! I was thrilled to see both her and Colin Salmon (who I patently adore) on this one. I never managed to get into New Tricks, but I'll have to give it another shot. I loved that Fleur has an odd interest in New Age-y stuff. I like Fleur a lot.
  11. Oh, brother. So, the doc sewed the book up in his chest cavity? Did he take out the liver and lungs to make room? Vampy boy won't be needing them. Is he going to row out and wait for the sun to incinerate him? Dreadful story. I give Loa 2 days before she chomps her way through the little "family." Why I kept up with this is anyone's question. Hoping it would get better? Completion? Not a fan of Brody ever and it was pretty much a slog throughout. I expected better from Stephen King, but it was based on a short story...
  12. Line of the week! Especially since he never wears gloves or worries about DNA evidence! Drags bodies into the car in broad daylight. Huh? Well, it was an interesting binge, but too many plot holes.
  13. I'm very happy to hear that. The listing that is. I was appalled by his hypocrisy with that purchase. $27.5mm, indeed. Looks like he'll actually make a couple million if it sells at $29.75 list. I know he signed a Daily Show contract for $22mm for several years, maybe he wants to get out of it? I know I'm not really enjoying what's going on with the show these days.
  14. For the season. Don't know if it's been renewed for another yet. I love Nora's scenes with Grandma the best. Or any scenes with Grandma. I hope it comes back just for her.
  15. We can only hope not. Middleditch is pretty disgusting IRL. I don't mind the show becoming about Gina and the old folks. Them and the dialysis crew. I say that now.
  16. I'm hoping, with Bobby Flay's defection, they'll give RBI his own show again. There's a big opening there!

    S01.E03: The Hunt

Hmm. I was thinking of dropping the series, but shit just got kinda interesting! Premed dropout drains fluid from dad's back. Although, as much of a fraidy-cat as she is, dropping out may have been the wisest choice. She'll probably have an epiphany and decide to go back to med school. Eve and co find a dead guy in a cave. They are not the first! Why didn't they check for his ID? It could have provided useful intel: a timeline or perhaps his disappearance was in the media, so they kinda know what happened and when? I'm also surprised they didn't circle back around to see if the rocks had fallen on the bear. Plenty of meat on that sucker for all! Oh, well. Mushrooms are pretty tasty, too. Eve's capable ex side piece shows up in a jet. Whoo hoo!
  18. I don't know about salvaging it, but he could have set it aside. Film crew and other workers would have made short work of it, looks be damned!
  19. I like it a lot. I love Rose McIver from iZombie days and the ghosts are a lot of fun. I watched the first two seasons of the UK version and liked it, but it was some time ago and I barely remember most of it. I'm enjoying the American ghosts and think it's a decent remake. I'll be looking forward to the rest of the season. I don't think this is the same. IT Crowd UK was brilliant and I've watched the whole series many times. It still makes me laugh. The American version was dreadful, even with Richard Ayoade (one of my all time favs). It was line for line an exact replay and it didn't work. The American version of The Office did work. They adapted it for the American audience. Ghosts is also adapted for the American audience and I think it works.
  20. I wasn't sure this would be any good, but I'm glad to see it back. Love Brass, love seeing him back. I used to hate Sara Sidle, but I didn't mind her at all here. Very surprised at that! Would have liked more than 3 seconds of Grissom at the end, though. Cheap shot. Poor Hodges. You know dang well he didn't set that up. I want to see how this plays out, though. I'm in.
  21. I think anyone who misprounounces Mascarpone should be kicked off immediately. 😉
  22. The Lissing ep will be on 12/18 (2 hr premiere). I quit watching a long time ago (when they killed off the Mountie), but I'll watch this episode just for Daniel. I can't see this going on too long. I thought part of why he left was Lori trying to run things. Hmm. Well, when you need work, you need work. https://www.tvinsider.com/1016681/when-hope-calls-season-2-premiere-daniel-lissing-lori-loughlin/
  23. Agree. I love Noel, mostly from IT Crowd (one of my all time favorite comedy series). I've liked Matt in other roles he's taken, but I don't think he's a good fit here. It's just not working. Given Covid, they may not have had the time nor resources to replace him this season. Wish we could bring in Richard Ayoade, that would be fun!
  24. Interview with Ian Armitage and a short teaser with Dr. Sturgis (no spoilers): https://www.tvinsider.com/1011820/young-sheldon-season-5-iain-armitage-wallace-shawn-musical/
  25. They also had 2 episodes On Demand before the show even aired on Fox. I'll DVR the third episode and watch later.
