  1. Beyond Belief broke my heart. I read it a year or so ago after borrowing it from the library. What those Sea Org people go through is nuts. I actually had a nightmare last night that I was kidnapped by DM, snuck out of the compound and they came for me.
  2. Has anyone read this book? https://www.amazon.com/Movie-Star-Lizzie-Pepper-Novel-ebook/dp/B00OZ0TORQ/ It's inspired by Katie and Tom. It was an enjoyable read. I wonder if the author had some insider info.
  3. The audio books are excellent. Davina is a wonderful narrator.
  4. I read "The American Heiress" ( www.amazon.com/American-Heiress-Novel-Daisy-Goodwin-ebook/dp/B004RCNS9C ) and I could barely get through it. Didn't even realize it was the same person doing the writing until now.
  5. That makes me think of the ep with Lady Rose's debut from DA. All of her friends were painfully thin brunettes. I didn't know who was whom. LOL Albert is the Victorian era version of emo.
  6. We should see a little bit of an aged Nell Hudson (Nancy Skerrett) in season three of Outlander (Laoghaire). Her role won't be big, but it is important.
  7. Other than "A Knight's Tale," everything I've seen Rufus in, he's been a nice guy. I first remember him from "Dark City" (I think that's what it was called) and "Tristan and Isolde." He doesn't age. He must have fab genes or a talented surgeon. When I see Nell Hudson, I keep thinking of Laoghaire from "Outlander." :D She's a much more sympathetic character here, but if you watch Outlander, we'll get to see a little bit of her in season 3. I'm calling BS on the dog not figuring out the rats. I'm amazed there wasn't a cat kept in the castle to keep the rats in check.
  8. I can only imagine. Imagine that you're clueless about periods and suddenly have cramps and are bleeding. Those poor young women probably thought they were dying. O.o
  9. Thanks, AndySmith. However, I wish I could tell what was what. :D I can tell the big house, but that's about it. I came across this, but thought Isobel's house was on the estate grounds:
  10. I really hope they don't go there. Don't want this show to turn into a soap opera. I also wouldn't mind if Lauren never came back. Didn't like her from the beginning.
  11. She's on the cover of the February Cosmo: http://www.cosmopolitan.com/entertainment/a8557587/hilary-duff-february-2017-cover/
  12. That's very interesting. I'm sure Rosamund could have helped her procure a false marriage license. It would then take away any scandal related to her birth. I can't remember if this has been asked or even mentioned on the show (the eps start to bleed together), but was it considered scandalous that Edith was Michael's sole heir?
  13. A question about the layout of the grounds of the estate, but not Highclere. In the DA world, how close are the Dower House and Crawley House to the abbey? Did Violet and Isobel need to be driven to each other's place or was it an easy walk? They do hang together a lot. :) Just curious how easy it would be for V or I to drop in and visit the big house.
  14. That sounds more like she had a social downfall rather than a monetary one.
  15. With TM joining the cast, I may be tempted to tune in again. From what I understand, she's legit rich and not RH rich (it seems that it always comes out that they are filing for bankruptcy or barely making ends meet). I'd like less drama and more of a peek into lavish lives.
  16. I don't see Liza as a bad mom. During the first season, she was away in India and now's she's away at college. It's not like she needs to helicopter.
  17. Maybe someone in the know can answer this, but it seems like Empirical is always on the verge of going out of business and the only thing keeping them afloat is that George RR Martin clone. Is that normal in the publishing world? I'm assuming the Empirical is one of the smaller houses vs the other majors.
  18. Parrot owners have to put the birds in their will. That bird will outlive Diana. A friend's parrot is 40.
  19. Ditto. Us short girls are not automatically heavy. I think whoever is dressing Duff for this show needs to be fired. That person may not know how to dress a petite woman. A bikini picture just surfaced and she's mega hot. She's got a hot body.
  20. As someone who always gets mistaken for being way younger than I am, I can totally buy that people who didn't know her would buy her as a 20-something. When I was in college I knew a girl who looked 30-something when she was 22. Good genes, skincare, etc can go a long way. Ironically, that girl went on a reality show and got busted for lying about her age. Anyway, Sutton is blessed with good skin and fab hair so I can buy it. Just found this show and I love it!!
  21. Here's an article from Resident magazine: http://resident.com/jill-kargman-abby-elliott/ Abby comes off as way more likable than Jill.
  22. I want to see Brooke turn into the next Tory Burch and Jill have a successful gallery show. She can find a niche with weird nudes and open up her own studio. I thought Lex's money came from marketing bagels in China or something like that.
  23. Abby is married: http://www.people.com/article/abby-elliott-wedding-billy-kennedy
  24. Agree, Chocolatine. That would make for a boring show and, as you said, there's already a show about that. I tried to watch that show, but it was painful--the characters grated. It would also be like "The OC" when the Coopers were suddenly poor. I watch a show like that to get some funny and vicarious moments. I want a show about ridic rich people! LOL :D :D There are other shows I'll watch when I want realist, gritty TV.
  25. Is anyone else creeped out my Molly's teeth? IIRC, the dead butterfly thing was a callback to one of the books Jill wrote with Carrie Karasyov (The Right Address?). Some society hens were gossiping about a wedding where people were to release butterflies but they were dead. I really hope Brooke, Lex and Candace have some cash. I watch this show to marvel at the outrageousness of the Von Webers. Abby Elliott looked stunning in that wedding gown. I want that dark pink lipstick. As tenativelyyours said, a Brooke type (or any decent thinking bride with a modicum of fashion sense) wouldn't select such an ugly b-maid dress like Jill's. The ugly bmaid dress is a tired cliche. Also, we know that Andy started a new job, but where did he go? Surely not the crappy law firm he was with before. It will be nice to see Jill get some career success.
