Thank you so much. It is a beautiful day here, and I just watched the Giants win on TV. So far, a happy birthday!

Thank you!!

My birthday is tomorrow, and I was planning to go to Tahoe for dinner with friends tonight, but they had to cancel due to having colds. So I'm home instead, cats on my lap, watching the baseball game, and spending time with my online friends here. Life is good. I'm sure I will get a call from my brother tomorrow and we will have a nice chat. Hard to believe that Sunday is May 1st already. Where does the time go?

The girls have baby dolls. The little Rod girls were given (grifted) very expensive "real baby" dolls. We have seen the Duggar little girls with baby dolls. Training can't start too soon. But I have never seen evidence of other toys. No legos, no puzzles, no trains. Oh, yeah. I forgot finger painting on the wood table top.

Janelle Brown: Smarter Than Your Average Brown (Maybe)

Does the company actually have "resort wear" and "semi formal" items? That must be a scary looking group. -
Since I have moved, my closest one is about 15 miles away, too. But I still make the effort. You just reminded me that it is about time to schedule an appointment for my tire rotation....

I love America's Tire Store. Here it is called Discount Tire Store, but it is the same company and it does not matter which you go to. Your records are on their computer under either name. You can also get "insurance" for your tires. They will fix any leak or flat for free, and will replace the tire if they cannot repair it. They also keep track of your tires and mileage. I had a set of tires that needed replacement at about half the advertised mileage, and they credited me back the money on my new tires. Free air anytime you need it, and they put it in. You just drive up to the designated area. Also, with the "insurance" you get free rotations. I have had very good luck with them and will continue to do business there.

I had the exact same reactions to all of my Moderna injections--fever that night and the next day. No arm pain. Shots 1, 2, and booster. But I had no reaction or any pain from the two shingles shots, and that is the one that I hear people complain about.

I wish everyone anywhere near Flagstaff the best of luck with the fires. I was very close to the Sierra fires this past summer, and the air quality was extremely bad. Our AQI (air quality index), which is usually around 15-20, was 430. Fires are no joke. I was actually happy for the mask mandate, but I was able to stay inside for days at a time. And I stocked up on N95's. I do wonder how panicked Robin and her kids are, however. I'm sure there will be high drama coming. They seem to make more of a fuss instead of using any good sense. Anything for a good show.

I am very interested to hear your opinion. I am finding this whole mess an eye-opening experience. -
Has anyone heard from HappyFatChick lately? She has not posted here for a long time.

My experience with buying and selling houses in CA, it takes a month to close on a house sale. Depending on the school schedule where they are, there are only about 6 weeks left of the school year. Move, get the kids active in summer sports, and start school at the start of the school year. Their timing is not too bad. (They could have a later closing date in their contract, or they could be "renting back" for a month. Or, they could not have made any plans because it never occurred them. Maybe they already have a new house under contract. I just hope they have some game plan.)

The plate of round things look like cake pops with out the stick and missing hunks of frosting. No idea on the pie-shaped things. And I would never taste them. Personally, I don't do pot-luck meals, so there is no way I would ever eat anything served here. The ham looks especially bad. (I just cooked a port tenderloin in the Instant Pot, and it was great. Moist and very good. It it only had to cook for 3 minutes!)

Since Jill has said they are moving for his job, I truly hope he sticks with it and does not decide to change directions again in a couple of years. Is Derek the one who years ago said he had wanted to work for the government (maybe FBI)? I can't remember for sure who that was.

But he as made some questionable decisions in the past............ But I think you are right. It will be interesting to see where they end up.

I was just curious because they seemed so excited about their trip to Oregon, and the trip was while he was studying for the Bar. I thought, as a long shot, that they might have been exploring a move. But maybe not.

RE: Jinger's dress. Maybe? it looks better in person?? That's all I've got.

Would it be possible for him to work for the government with his current certifications?

Question: Is a law degree specific to a single state, or is it valid across state lines?
-
Thanks. I did not think of that.

Thanks. It could be that my cat "helps" on the computer, but it is happening quite often. I will do another reboot and see if it stops. I'm quite sure my internet is not getting interrupted, since everything else is working just fine.

Is anyone else having to sign in very often, and then having to do it several times because it won't take the user name or password? This has been happening to me every day this past week.
