  1. Poor Giddy. And poor Joy. She probably doesn't need more pressure in her life right now. I hope they take his treatment more seriously than they take is "education".
  2. Has anyone here had a bone marrow needle biopsy? I have one scheduled in a couple weeks and I told them I do want sedation when they asked me. I would like to know how long the pain/soreness lasts so I can prepare myself.
  3. It sounds to me like Tim and Heidi had an actual grown-up discussion and they both found middle ground. Maybe he has started to realize that people who dress and listen to music like his future sister-in-law are ok people after all. I still have some hope for him.
  4. The real question, in my opinion, is why she is saying anything in the first place. She is really a piece of work.
  5. Or they just ignore the fact and drive anyway. After all, it is just to church. Surely no one would want them miss church.
  6. After growing up with uncles Wilhelm Edvard Ferdinand, George Richard Emil, Arthur Julius Gerhart, and aunts Margaret Wilhelmia Louisa, Freda Caroline Ottilia, and a mother Ruth Magdalena Amanda, to name but a few, names are just names to me. Name your kid whatever you want, I probably have someone in my family with a stranger name. (With the exception of a baby I cared for in the NICU whose mother named her Meconium because she thought it sounded so pretty.)
  7. The little casket and the flowers were so beautiful and tasteful. Thankfully no comparison to the ammo can.
  8. And I'm supposed to care what she wears because..............
  9. In this family, that does not guarantee that she has a license or insurance. Or that she knows how to drive a truck.
  10. The last time I was called for Jury Duty it was for passing bad checks. The defendant was in the court room, and before jury selection started the judge asked if any of us knew the defendant, or any of the lawyers. One woman raised her hand and, when asked by the judge who she knew, she stated that she new the defendant because he had passed a bad check in her store. The entire room of prospective jurors was dismissed and we couldn't be recalled to jury duty until the following year. Another time, after sitting in the court room for about an hour, the judge came out and told all of us that we were all dismissed. He then asked one of the prospective jurors to come and talk to him. Apparently, someone from the case spoke to this one woman, or the woman was talking about the case to other prospective jurors. I never did find out what happened, but all 70 of us were sent home--jury service completed for the next 12 months.
  11. Raise your hand if you think Nurie's oldest has a new, appropriate-sized car seat, that the youngest (for now) has an unused, appropriate-sized car seat, and that the baby will have a new, unused, infant car seat. Anyone??? The "first granddaughter" may get an infant car seat, but I bet it will be from a thrift store or a yard sale. And that BME will think bedazzeling it will be more important than being unused and the fit. I'm sure this family thinks any old car seat will be just fine. I still don't believe that they will bother with a car seat for each kid.
  12. Plexus says it is not be used by pregnant or nursing women. Kaylee should not be encouraging nursing moms. I wonder if Plexus knows she is going against what Plexus itself says. I fear for the life and well-being of her poor baby.
  13. If you don't want to be attacked by your cats, never use Icy Hot, or any other topical pain reliever containing capsaicin. Capsaicin is a derivative of catnip. My cats went wild and would not leave me alone. I never used it again.
  14. I have always driven Hondas, with one, horrible exception. I bought a Toyota Highlander, and it was a total piece of junk. I had water gush into the passenger footwell from a faulty air conditioning pipe. I had a Freeon leak in the dash board that they could never find, and I was adding Freeon about every 6 months. The timing belt went out six months after I bought it (new). The alternator went out in the middle of the freeway. I will never buy a Toyota again. I went back to Honda, and I love my CRV. My current CRV is a 2015 and I have never had one day of trouble. Ever. I think I am a Honda for lifer.
  15. I was an RN at a Catholic hospital and EASTER was not recognized. Nothing surprises me anymore.
  16. I’m in the North Sea watching the news on the TV in my stateroom. I hope everyone here from Boston is safe and sound. The bridge collapse looks terrifying. We have two days at sea heading for Narvik. So far it has been smooth sailing.
  17. So sorry for you and your family. been there, done that and it is tough i meant to reply with a hug but the seas are a bit brisk right now and I hit the Wong emoji.. Thinking of you
  18. I'm thankful for all the CARING people on this site who are willing to share advise and their CONCERN for everyone.
  19. I'm leaving Wednesday for the Arctic. Packing for 20-30 degree weather is proving difficult, but I think I will make it. I'm going to have to take a separate smallish bag just for my heavy boots and warm shoes. I don't think I am overpacking, but everything is just bulky. Anyway, this supposed to be a good year for viewing the Northern Lights (lots of sun spots, or something like that), so I hope I get some good views. And I hope I don't freeze. I love Norway, and have never been there in the cold weather, so this will be a new experience for me. If anything happens here, please let me know where to show up. I don't want to lose my friends!!
  20. In this culture, the eldest son is "in charge" of siblings and has special treatment. JB used to take Josh to the (was it the state senate??) when he was very young, and he received a lot of attention. He received "special treatment" from his parents when he messed up (badly). Being in prison is the first time in his life that he is not in charge, and is not getting special treatment. I don't think the ability to care about others was instilled in him growing up. It will be interesting to see how he handles life when his sentence is up.
  21. She needs to decide how she wants to look in her filtered pictures, and then do the same each time. She looks totally different in these pictures than she does in others. Pick a lane and stay in it. How about being honest and NOT using filters???
  22. Now it is back to normal. I don't know what is going on.
  23. Has anyone else had their screen look strange? Mine is now slightly over have the screen size, and none of the settings have been changed. It is the same on other sites, also. I don't know what happened or how to fix it.
  24. I'm actually surprised any of us can figure out what Jill is posting most of the time. Between misspelling, poor sentence structure, the deluge of commas, and bad grammar I'm thinking we should all be proud we all have a degree in Jillese.
  25. A couple of positives (I know, they are few and far between). The younger kids, including the babies, are wearing life jackets. They may have used car seats (if they are lucky) and will soon be swimming in ditches in street clothes, but they do have life jackets for swimming with the turtles. The birthday post from Heidi's mom was genuine and very, very nice. It was about Tim, and not the sender. I do have some hope for Tim. For his sake, September can't come soon enough.
